I saw the 4.2 calendar leaked for the GNex, anyone have any luck getting it on the GS3?
+1. was wondering about this as well. Every 4.2 app thread ive read hasnt mentioned anything about a 4.2 Calendar.
May I ask for a link to where u saw it? If it installs like a regular apk we may be able to use it.

Thanks. wonder if it has a new widget?

Just tried flashing it... it didn't seem to do anything, and I'm not sure of a good way to test. I already had the leaked gmail, keyboard, and camera, which are the ones that it is easiest to tell with. I don't know what to look for in the calendar and talk apps... they look pretty much the same.
Calendar probably isn't any different than the one Google just released to Play not long ago.

The zip breaks the sync (CalendarProvider.apk specifically). Extract and push CalendarGoogle.apk to System/App, fix permissions and reboot

russian malware, dont do that

They have it over on the t989 forums as well. Don't update it and flag it in the market. No one knows what it is, but someone said it was a legit russian phone carrier or something. I wouldn't trust it though
ROM is NexusMOD 4. I did flag it in the market.

I was looking at the market and did a google search of it. It appears to be a Russian telematics company and just is appearing on certain phones as a mistake (i'm assuming). They have other apps in the market that are for Russian Subscribers.
To be safe, just delete it or freeze it with titanium backup.
In soviet russia applications install you.

Yeah, I have it showing up in my installed apps asking to be updated which i did NOT do. Apparently this is epidemic at least for Samsung devices.

MTC is simply trying to update as the system email apk that reared its head with the ICS leak. You can freeze it, uninstall it, whatever.
Same if you see Testfile, which is associated with Allshare, uninstall allshare, it goes away.
Hi all,
I just upgraded my DS to ICS (Stock ROM)... so far so good. But I am having a problem with Google Search. I normally use google search to search for my installed apps rather than scrolling through all the apps (example: click the search button at bottom right of the DS, type 'FLASHL' , and Flashlight pops up in the list and click on it to load the Flashlight app.
Since I upgraded to ICS, google search is not searching for installed Apps. I can confirm that the ability to search for Apps is enabled in the Google Search settings.
Am Imissing a prticular setting? Can anyone help me out?
Thanks
I'm using it in the same way and it's working fine. I have only applications checked in settings.

Thank you! I had the same problem as above and soved with this apk.
I convinced work it would be a good idea to have a Note to use at work. Awesome right? I'm using it now!
My problem is that a lot of the softer software use to be productive is stuff i paid for core(keyboards, clinical references, etc) and Idon't want people on my Google account! . I've disabled Most of the outer personal stuff so like Gmail So that's no longer around for anyone to snoop.
It's there away to set up a guest login, or public account? What about enabling a store like demo mode?

To anyone wondering why the flash don't work its because its for the Intl version and its mounting the wrong partition. Ur playing with fire if you flash that. This one is safe to flash on our phone https://rapidshare.com/files/2234282553/POPUP_BROWSER.zip
This one works though

Wolfpack had it right. I "played with fire" but no harm done. Flashed the second link and it works properly. I find the popup useful for Facebook or Twitter news article links.

Both of the links are not working. Could anyone provide mirrors? Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Nevermind I found it and for some reason the xda link wasn't working before and now it is.
You don't need to struggle with apps. Just open regular browser and open "www.google.com'' and from the menu button, "add shortcut to home screen"
Everytime click on this bookmark it will ask to open with popup and will automatically open google. thats how I use it.
OK so I flashed it and installed the invoker app and I can't get it to work. I cleared defaults of my browser but it doesn't show up in the popup menu to select which application I want to use. Does this only work on TW roms? I am on ParanoidAndroid 2.51.
