Hey,
Just a quick question, If my phone does need to go back to repair and I have rooted and flashed a custom ROM, would they accept a non-branded (Vodafone) ROM? Like the HTC Europe RUU.. Because I cannot find a branded Vodafone Australia ROM. It's my only hope :3
Thanks
Never had to deal with that particular situation but I would imagine that if your serial number didn't match whatever it says is supposed to be stock then it would throw a red flag up to someone. That is assuming that dig that deep. But they will need to check the serial number at some point. I would do a little more searching for exactly what you need before sending it back...
Just my suggestion.

Thanks for your opinion! Hmmm, do you mean the serial of the actual ROM?
No... Just your phones serial number or any way to identify your device would be enough to tell what is supposed to be stock on it I would think.

Ohhh. Well in that case I just have to find someone in Australia, on Vodafone, who has backed up a stock ROM. Hard life.
Thanks man!

Hi all. I've been using my second-hand bought sensation for a week now. But i have one problem. I have to unlock it to actually be able to use it as a phone.
Why is this a problem? Well, i have followed a guide here on xda to unlock it and have acquired the unlock code. Thing is, the sensation does not ask for the unlock code.
The guy i got it from tried to unlock it himself using "diag" and "s65/s85" but he failed.
So my question is, how do i get it to ask for the unlock code?
Thanks

So there is no way to relock it to unlock it the right way?
Sent from my HTC Sensation
How about a complete reset back to stock?
I don't know enough about the unlocking process to know if a complete stock reset would wipe the unlock and leave the phone relocked. But hopefully by me stating the possibility you'll see 3 answers shortly from people who do know nad you can either try it or rule it out.
Never seen a similar relock I have ruu flashed every way on here if u put a att similar card in and it don't ask for code it unlocked
Now if you see x and not a signal then your blocked call tmoble and ask if it can be unblocked most likly not

Well, I don't see x, but I get no reception

Would changing the mainboard solve the problem? (Yes, I'm willing to go that far....)

I've tried to clear s-58 data before. It didn't help, but thanks for trying.
I think i'm just suffering from bad esn.
What model is the phone and what provider are you trying to use? You might need to change the modem to do that look in the radio thread. The modem basically changes the frequency so you can use it on providers who uses a different one.

It's also SPECIFICALLY against XDA rules to discuss how to or ask for help in how to change the IMEI here.
This point should not be lost on the OP as it's a banning offense with no warnings.
I recently Installed ViperS Rom and checked the about phone to see the IMEI.
I Checked it in IMEI.info and found out it said it was a HTC One S.
I think this is because of the rom (As its based on the Ville AKA The one s)
The second issue is when I check the IMEI I have on the box it said its a HTC Sensation XE.
Please Help
Just flashing ROM don't change IMEI. Did you so anything else? Like flashing doggy firmware?

I figured that out, and found out I still Have my Old IMEI
The thing I'm most concerned about is the site saying my phone is an XE.
Do you reccommend any trustworthy free IMEI Checking sites?
Thanks

LOL..
Don't worry, it's not just you..
I am also using HTC Sensation Z710e but the site is still listing my phone as HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio.
I think there's something wrong with the website's database.. Nothing to worry about.

I want to order on eBay a replacement part (proximity sensor and mic with ribbon)
last time I ordered and it didn't fit, so I saw that there are also some model numbers that I should check before I order
Ahh I see. To be honest I'm not sure where you'd find that model number, sorry. Hopefully someone else can chime in and help you.
