Do not mess around with CWM if you don't know what you're doing
I recommend un-checking 'infinite scrolling' in drawer settings in Holo Launcher for a better experience
Use Titanium Backup to remove apps which came pre-installed. You can remove apps you installed normally.
Removing the bootanimation will speed up booting a little.

I think this FW also works on U1 as it has the same chipset ..based from my exp with 2011 Sony phones with same chipset.

As I said in the OP, it is based on PiPo firmware, I have not compiled the ROM. I have ported it to Aoson M11, hence no source code.

You probably have a corrupt download, or your tablet is from the first batch which had slightly different internals.

Could you post again the Android 4.2 Jelly bean update file please?

This ROM runs quite well on this device.. I just got it for xmas, and I have no complaints after switching to a custom Rom (Hate stock/bloatware)..
Hopefully Acer pulls the trigger in the next quarter on 4.2

thanks 2.1 crashed much specially adroid keybord.
v2.3 seems to work fine. I have not find any errors.
one suggestion base it on US version I think it has more language in it.

Anyone know. After flash this it is not rooted. And it can't use adb push us.

I'd make a backup, and try re-installing again. Make sure to wipe system, data (factory reset) and caches...

The best ROM for Acer A511.
I used CWM 6.0.1.9 (recommend). Unlock boot.(Recommend making a backup in CMW) Then wipe system(wipe data/factory reset) in CWM (you can wipe cache). Next, choose the install zip from sdcard- install zip from external sd, and choose ROM by odiv81---- YES =) reboot system. All the usual.

There seems to be mounting problems of /system, /data or something like that.
Tools like adaway cannot do any changes in these areas.
Rootbox and AOKP don't have that problem.

/system, /data - there are no problems. They are mounted on the RW. You need to give root access to a filemanager.

ParanoidAndroid 3.00 for the HTC Explorer/pico​
This is still JB 4.1.2, since we're still building PA with a CM base. PA's new AOSP 4.2 base appears to be on the same 'jellybean' branch, which is why (I'm assuming) the version still went up to 3.00. I didn't change this, it was built that way from PA source.

What is it?
PER-APP-DPI/LAYOUT. This is not tablet mode! Hybrid engine allows you to target apps individually. You get to pick their actual layouts which can tranform content drastically. Keep in mind, this has nothing to do with build.prop hacks or DPI changes. We list all layouts an app brings, you choose one, its as easy as that. It does not matter if your device runs itself in Phone-, Phablet or Tablet-UI, your apps will always look as you like. On top of that you can scale apps, to fit your screen, that way you can even bring full fledged tablet apps and make them run perfectly. Nothing will break, nothing will shrink, your market will be fine. Additionally we have rewritten many parts of the android framework and fixed countless of AOSP bugs to make way for these modifications - our "tablet mode" runs better on a phone than on a real tablet, that is guaranteed.
PER-APP-COLOR Paranoidandroids newest invention. Define apps in your regular hybrid panel. See your phone fade into the color definition of your current app, press home or go elsewhere and it fades back. Create as many combinations you like, you can even dabble with opacity. This feature is made possible by our hybrid engine, which is unique to this rom.

at first boot, you must skip all settings and go to Settings / language & input / default input / and disable hardware keyboard
some black box on certains apps, use chrome or alternate browser not stock
Rotation do not work, you're stuck in landscape
some graphics glitch
Video playback do not work but sound does

So excited for this, thanks...but...i am having major issues, no root, performance settings crash, and it seems like a lot of settings are missing, (nav bar, quick tiles, notification, etc) but looking forward to the next build.

there is an issue with root, flash supersu.zip from cwm
And yes there is lack of customization the rom is less than 1 week old and there is no official build yet.
