Hi guys, as a member of this beautiful community and proud owner of an HTC Explorer(Pico) i tested and tested and tested almost all the roms available for this phone and i only have one problem, it seems i can`t detect adhoc wifi networks with roms higher than GingerBread( tested all ICS,JB,CM9-10 versions).Replaced wpa_suplicant,tested different apk`s but no luck.
With GB (Jaggy`s rom,stock,ABL,Ateeq,NextGen) using wifiadhocenabler.apk i am able to connect to adhoc wifi.
P.S. : i aloso used Conectify but stil no luck .
Can you please tell me what could be the problem ?
I am using connectify right now and it works with cm9 miui Holo sandwich, but it has a pw. Did you try with pw?

Hi guys, I was using my Sensation as a Hotspot to use my laptop and my PS3 at the net, but from yesterday I can't anymore. At this moment I installed Elegancia Rom but I already tried with P3D and Miui and is the same story.

I had problem tethering my phone (cm9 a8) connection to Windows XP. had any other suggestion peeps? i tried cwm tether and others but fail..
(maybe i should post this to Q&A for CM9. :silly
This is a known issue in cm9 for i9003. Use third party software instead.

Bluetooth tethering works. But speed not great.
Tried WiFi tether but somehow not able to set up. Can anyone give instructions.

Add dummy wifi apn settings n then try again... But mostly the driver is broken.... Very weak signal

try using usb/wifi tethering third party softwaresfrom the play store .. cm9 has tethering issue .. expecting for it to get fixed with 3.x kernel ..
This issue has been adressed over & over again with the same solution. I know you mean well, but stop bumping old threads unless you have a new solution to offer.

Hey guys i really want to know how to connect to the net using my pc`s broadband to my mobile.
I always use internet pass through which is by default available in ordroid,elegancia and viper rom.
But i want to try the new jelly bean rom but all that is stopping me is this internet pass through using usb.
Wait for at least 2 weeks.

When I try to connect windows gives me a pop up saying found new hardware and doesn't know were to look for drivers.. I do have htc syc and everything is up to date.. I'm running CM10 latest build and love it but a my work I don't have any cell reception so used to always hook up my phone through my laptop... any idea were I can find the proper diveres or if anyone has run into this?

Yes. It should work cause it is not in reference to any particular rom and is said to be for all rooted HTC explorers. But make sure the ROM you intent to use shouldn't have USB and mobile data related bugs.

I have recently flashed 4.3 OS to my S4 then rooted it with XDA , then did a hot spot mod and it will connect but the internet will not work just keeps loading??? Any ideas??:crying:
Works fine here. Maybe get new internet.
