[Q] Multitasking/ handwriting ? - Galaxy Tab 7.7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

What do you all think ?
Will there be any Rom port from Note 10.1 to make multitasking and hand writing features in our tab 7.7 ?

I find the pop-up mini apps handle most of the multitasking I need.
I find Swype faster than handwriting (the beta does have handwriting btw.) I've used the handwriting on my wife's Note 2 and we both find Swype faster and more accurate.

There are indeed quite a few 3rd party floating folder/video/note/browser. Heard the stock video if float will cause lag even on a quad core, that is really bad coding from samsung.

Samsung note writing app for sgt

Is there any way for install drawer app for galaxy note on our sgt?
There is little reason to port the app. Even if it did get ported and we would be able to install it, it would be impossible to use because the tab lacks a hardware component that the Note has.
That component is called a digitizer, and it's the method of choice of enabling drawing applications to work decently on capacitive screens. The Galaxy Tab does not have a digitizer.
Peace,
C.
Ok thanks.

Best android iPod touch alternative?

What do you think the best Android iPod touch alternative is? The device would preferably have ICS and a camera.

I would probably say Samsung Galaxy Player 5 or Samsung Galaxy Player 4 depending on which screen size your prefer they have essentially the same specs otherwise. Both have a 3.2 mp camera and while they run gingerbread you can root it and put ICS on it. Most "ipod touch" like android devices other then then the Samsung Galaxy Player series tend to unfortunately be poorly made, and laggy and buggy as hell. The Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0 and 5.0 forums would probably be a good place to start.
And this guide should be a big help:
[GUIDE][01.07.2012]The Samsung Galaxy Player/S Wifi 4.0, 5.0 All-In-One Thread
Sony Live With Walkman? 720p vid 5mpx cam 1ghz proccessor has ICS Bravia Engine..
you could just get a nexus s 4G with a bad ESN with the ICS update

Screen Record and Popup Note

Hi,
I've watched the Note II introduction video and saw some nice ideas for apps to run on Note.
Specially "screen recording" and "popup note" ideas are totally software solution which can be achieved by small apps.
There is already popup video and popup internet browser as an app.
I just wonder if there is a working screen recording app for Note. I've found 2 of them on Google Play but none of them works stable.
Also, a popup note app would be loveful. Is there an app which can do this ?
Thanks.
Screencast is an app which works absolutely fine for recording but that is not pop up...
And what is the point in making a recording app pop up???i dnt see any point in this.
HIT THANKS

See FloatNote
I also use Screencast all the time on my Note. See my YouTube link in sig.
And the browser would be OverScreen. Cost a couple bucks, but there are free floating browsers of varying / lesser quality. Search market for "floating apps".
Hit thanks button
If you are asking for pop browser then it is Overskreen browser
And screen recording app is screencast

Thanks.
For the popup note, FloatNote works really fine. But it really works only with a s-pen. Is there another app which wouldn't require s-pen and would work on other devices (such as S3) ?
Screencast is also nice. But it doesn't run on Galaxy S3, just works on Galaxy Note. weird...

multi-window like on the Galaxy Note 2

If you guys haven't heard or seen, the latest firmware upgrade of the NOTE 2 allows for 2 applications to be on the screen at the same time which means you can interact with them. For example you can have a youtube video playing in one window and searching the web in another window.
I was just wondering, would this feature ever be cooked into a ROM?
The SkyRocket is a powerful device and should be able to handle such a thing.
Would definitely love this I am pretty sure its loaded into the os so I don't think it should be too hard to port it over. Only downpart would be the smaller screen but who cares? I would def use it in the car for my torque app and spotify or navi

+1
I would rate this as the #1 feature that I want to see in any rom. As this video shows, it's actually Really useful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-G-avtGf0A

Cyanogenmod was considering something like this on ICS with CM9 (see example here) . They were talking about adding a similar service called "Cornerstone" by Onskreen, but the idea was shot down by threats from Google of "consequences" if CM implemented it on any devices that Google supported (see comment to Steve Kondik from Dianne Hackborn here).
I hope this means Google(Android) realized that it was dumb to prevent this as it was an inevitability and CM will now be able to get back to work on implementing it.
I've downloaded the video player from the apps section that allows a floating video window over the top of everything else that came from the s3. Works good.

The multi-window feature on the Note 2 is more powerful, check out the youtube video (mentioned above) to see how it works. It's awesome, a killer must have feature, really.

Music player and keyboard?

Hello note 10.1 forum! I do not own a note 10.1, but my friend does. Anyways, when I saw his note tablet, I became envious of the Samsung tablet music player as well as the Samsung keyboard. However, when I went into the /system/app, I couldn't find out which ones were either the music player or keyboard. Could somebody post a link to the stock apks for those, I'm interested in porting it to my Lenovo Tegra 3 tablet. Any help or direction in porting is appreciated as well. Thanks!

Uh...... i hate to repost but i would love an answer. I cannot discern which apps are the music player or keyboard in that system dump

Keyboard
/system/app/SamsungIME.apk
It requires the TouchWiz framework tho
