any suggestions as to an hdmi dock for samsung galaxy tab 2 7in
The 7 inch model is not HDMI capable, due to its cheaper components it uses. Sorry. You need to use DLNA or similar in order to stream or transfer its media.

A decent quality screen with a resolution of ~ 1024x600
Bluetooth
HDMI out (mini, micro, mhl)
and....well that's pretty much it. I seem to find a lot of one or the other. For example the Archos 70 has hdmi out but an 800x400 screen. The Ainol Novo 7(aurora/elf) has 1024x600 and hdmi out but no bluetooth. I thought I'd be allright without Bluetooth but the more I think about it, I use Torque to diagnose people's engine codes sometime and would like to continue doing that with whatever tablet I end up with.
I do like the Motorola Xyboard even though it's 8.2 inches however I can't get that without being tied to verizon for 2 years of their terrible data plan, so that's out =/
Hopefully I'm overlooking something and the answer is right in front of my face.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus or the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7
Both available in Wifi only so no need for contracts....

yeah samsung galaxy is a good bet.
I assume they both require a docking station to use HDMI?
Not the ideal solution, but certainly doable. Noted and thank you!

Im not a programmer or anything but someone wrote an app called Real HDMI which unblocked the hdmi port on the Droid X. Could and hdmi driver be written into a rom and REAL HDMI be modified to work with the Galaxy Tab 2 to use the existing HDMI docks? Since both use TI chips it may be worth a shot?
So I am looking to at these 3 tablets... and wondering if anyone has any insights as to why they picked the Tab 2 7" or 10.1". (Reason why I am asking here instead of at the Note 10.1 forums, besides pricing)
I would like to know the following... Has anyone bought the adaptor that allows you to output by hdmi to a tv. Is the CPU on the Tab2 capable of playing bluray quality rips of 720p and 1080p no problems? Is there any player that supports DTS? I know my Nexus7 can with diceplayer, but do not have any clue with the tab2 or note 10.1
The main usage of this would be video playback to a tv, surfing the web, youtube, and I guess some games, but nothing too intense gaming wise...
Its to replace a laptop that I havent used in nearly 2 years heh...
Any advice would be great guys!
I would take note 10.1. The quadcore processor is really useful with tablets. Besides, it has s pen, and it can be extremely useful. Or for fun Galaxy tab 2 10.1 is really nice but note is far better.

I have to agree with him. Take the Galaxy Note 10.1, as it has quad cores. also, it similar to having a laptop due to the S-Pen's sensitivity as well as excellent pen writing.
Also, if you have a bluetooth keyboard like the Logitech Sony Playstation 3 keyboard (yes, a third party brand by Logitech), which include a mousepad next to it, you have an ideal laptop replacement. XD
I'm evalueting to buy a tablet eather for work and chill
I'm in search of only one "special" feature the MHL support aka usb to hdmi support for use it with old projectors and monitors who doesn't support mirroring
It is possible that almost every phone has this implementation but not so much tablets?
I' m watching to something similar to the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 for specs, price and accesories (pen and a proper keyboard)
Do you have any suggestion?
Thanks
