All, I detected 4.1 on my TF700 the other day, it installed and failed. So.. it reverted back to 4.0.3. Now it won't detect it again. I've done a factory reset and it still won't detect it.
I called Asus and they claim that it's not available for the tablet yet, but they couldn't explain why it detected it in the first place.
So does anyone have JB running on their TF700 yet?

I have just received my second transformer a B70 with a dock straight out of best buy and it has 3.1 installed
My older B60 also came pre installed with 3.1 but as soon as I turned that on it told me there was a fw upgrade available and i've received 2 more since and am now running 3.2
is there some trick to this ? both are US versions btw
Can nobody answer this guys ?
I ran into a similar situation. Go to Asus` website and download the firmware update manually. Extract it, place it on the top level of your micro sd card. Reboot. The update should trigger when booting up.

Great, thanks for the advice, the update didn't trigger at boot but when I got into the OS it notified me that I had an update file ready to install and from there I could enter the FW update
That's how it happened to me, it was RIGHT after it booted up. Symantecs, while booting, right after booting... either way.
Hi, I have an Asus transformer TF101, I used to have it rooted with CWM on android 3.2. So now that ICS was released for this tablet i wanted it. I knew i couldn't update with CWM.. So i read a tutorial on how to install a OS update from CWM then after, install something which would get rid of CWM. This would fine and i had the first 4.0.3 installed on my transformer successfully with no CWM (I tried getting into it to test but it wouldn't). Now it's been a bit of time, I've seen that asus have released a few new updates for my tablet. Now when i seach for updates on my tablet it says none are available.. So i thought I'd try and download from the website and put onto my SD card and hope that my tablet comes up with the little explanation mark to update.. But nothing. I tryed the recovery boot with the new OS on the SD card but just had the little green robot lay down looking broken. I'm not sure what to do now.. Should i re root it and then get CWM to update or is there something up with my tablet?
Thanks for reading.
Bump?
Hi all, I'm exchanging my TF700 for another one later today. The screen just started to bleed out of nowhere. When I get my new device, what's the best way to go about installing Jelly Bean "cleanly"?
I ask this because my tablet ran a bit slugglish with the JB update. Transitions were really laggy and sometimes the screen wouldn't respond. I read about performing a factory restore and cold boot to make sure JB is installed properly. Do I still have to do this if my tablet is going to be brand new, fresh out of the box? Or can I just go ahead and install JB right after I set it up? I would assume a factory restore would be a bit redundant, but what about cold boots?
Some have reported doing a factory reset even on a new device helps performance.
Sure couldn't hurt.
It's been a while since i've played with android, but I just want to load a fully functioning custom ROM.
Info (from about tablet)
Model Number
TF300TAndroid Version
4.2.2Kernel Version
3.1.10-10.4.2.20AOKP Version
fully_aokp_tf300t_unofficial_Mar-03-13
Info from bootloader screen
cardhu-user bootloader 1.00 e
ww_epad-10.4.2.20-20121228 A03This bootloader has the 4 icons (includes the USB fastboot icon)
Recovery:
TWRP 2.5
The tablet is actually a TF300TG, but all the roms seems to be for the TF300T and I read some posts saying the only thing you lose by cross flashing is the 3g functionality - although, I also read some stating not to.
Q1. It says it's running Android 4.2.2, but the bootloader is still the old JB type - is this because it's a custom rom?
Q2. Is there anything I can do to get WiFi working on this ROM? The wifi never moves to the 'on' position.
I followed the instructions from the link in the bellow quote (the first time around I was on the new bootloader) - I tried flashing both
ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T Firmware: V10.4.2.20 Only for WW SKU (Android 4.1) - 2013.01.18 update
ASUS Transformer Pad TF300TG Firmware: V10.4.3.9 Only for WW SKU (Android 4.1) - 2012.11.14 update
and then installing AOKP, but this just leaves me back where I started.
This ROM is really nice and I would like to continue using it.
The wifi works when using the asus stock software, and I believe it also worked when trying the Hydra ROM.
Many Thanks in advance.

But will it work on roms with 4.2.1 bootloaders?

Surdu got this ROM to boot on the new bootloader but wifi doesn't work yet. I would wait on him to post the steps needed to get everything working correctly. I have a feeling that it won't be long before he has the newer version ready.
If you can't wait and want to run this ROM with everything working then you can downgrade back to the 4.1 bootloader.
Here is the thread that will tell you how to downgrade the bootloader if you decide to do so.

Q1: You can still run Android 4.2.2 on the stock 4.1.1 bootloader, and you still are using the stock 4.1.1 bootloader. CM10.1 and AOKP do this.
Q2: When you flashed AOKP (which i used for a few months), did you format cache/dalvik/factory reset?
All,
I am planning on selling my TF101 and would like to Reset the Tablet to the original condition it came as.
The Tablet currently is rooted and has a custom ROM installed.
I would like to reset the tablet to the very initial condition (Honeycomb, I think) that it came in, and then apply the OTA updates that were officially released for the TF101.
Help appreciated!!
