[Q] One S resolution 540 x 888 pixels ?

Hi all,
I wonder if you can help me with an issue, I searched the forum but I didn't found anything regarding this.
I need to know why the resolution of my One S in only 540x888 while in specs HTC is saying that is 540x960 pixels. I found this when I installed iGO and the map and buttons are a bit misplaced 2-3 mm down making them a little out of reach.

It is because apps see what the resolution is after you have the three dotted menu button.

thanks, is there something I can do because I have a stock rom. I found only for deodexed roms a solution.

you can deodex the stock rom and apply the 3dot menu mod.. Then your resolution will be as mentioned on HTC..
as for how to de-odex a stock rom... i dont know

Hi,
I have been trying to install iGO on HTC ONE S for some time now but with no success. Can you please tell me how you did it ? I always end up with the application looking for files on the SD card ( non existent ) or with it closing before loading screen right away.

You'll need to put the iGO directory inside the SDCARD directory.
That should do the trick.

On stock ROM, just update to newest update (2.21 / Android 4.0.4), you can then disable the three-dot-button on non-ICS-native apps by putting the multitasking button to act as menu button on touch (and still as multitasking button with long press)

jb default search bar not visible

Hey guys, I installed cyanogenmod 10 on my galaxy fit. But the default search bar is not visible on my home screens. Also I installed velvet.apk.
Still no use. Please guys help.

The same happened with me! I found no solution to this. I installed the ICS version of Google Now and GoogleVoiceSearch.apk in my GFit but as soon as I tap on it, the search crashes. Apparently there is nothing I am able to do for this. I am with the same problem....

[APP]Slimmed Keyboard

I have the JB Keyboard slimmed to his max i guess from 10Mb to 2Mb and work just normal

Could you specify what you have done to slim it please? Where any features removed?

Great!! BTW care to mention the changes u made to make it slim? And the keyboard works only with ics and above right?

Nothing removed try it and you will see , i didnt test everything in it but am sure everything work

Idk if there is a script or something that let ICS & JB stock Keyboard to work in GB then i would say yes it work but for now i can only say that it work From ICS and above , its the Stock keyboard Slimmed (just reduced some things and deleted some other things but everything working great , no lag no nothing just remove the old one and put this one (same name)

Stock rom Galaxy s3 is different give me your keyboard link to download it and try to trimm it

Everything just reduced and well compressed thats it (about the remove thing , it was just a thing that you dont need in keyboard)

Dude , its not a flash zip , use root explorer and put it in /system/app overwrite the normal one reboot and done

Doesn't work, it constantly FC's if chosen as default keyboard. Nor pushing to system, neither installing it as a regular app.

Not even suspicious.

Does not work on PA on my One V, nor on my WFS.
I'd be reeeeaaaally interested in knowing what exactly you slimmed out of the keyboard, especially since you seem to have added theme support.

work for roms that have that keyboard on stock , like cm10.1 and aokp ...
Anyway i give you a small hint if you want to trimm your apps a little (easy for everyone)
First download a app , then use root explorer (for exemple) and change extantion from .apk to .zip then extract the file (you can change something if you like now like icon of the app ... ) and now compress it so his extantion become .zip again and then go download zip signer from play store (first app you will find) and put his name in unsigned.zip and for signed use your here name again but now the extantion need yo be .apk (see picture)
With this simple trick you can save a lot of space (can get you to 10 free mb depend )

I'm using I9003 - android 4.1. the problem is two button menu and back of me is do not working
I want upgrade to stock rom 2.3.6 and add nav bar on it...can you help me!!!

A lot of developers have already posted on their development threads about how to revert back to GB.. Do you even read? If you don't, you better start. If you can't, just head down to Samsung centre and pass them your phone, ask them to flash latest stock ROM for you.. It's more simple.

I am also having same problem. Menu and Back buttons are not working on my Galaxy SL I9003.

hi can anyone that has experience do me a mod for the power button extended menu all i want its off,restart,recovery,download mode and screenshot. as a flahsable zip... as i read the guide and could not find or the guy didnt especified how to do it.. i could not found the res,value ect.. in the framework-res.apk
and if it isnt too much to ask why not go along with the call recarding button for stock 4,1,2 umcu1 rom...

Embryo has a recording button in the dialer right? If not MP3 Incall Recorder & Voice is a great and free recorder. Use the search button (in combination with proper english) and you will find what you are looking for. There are at least two threads with the powerbutton mod.

yep it does i wish i could just extrct it.. ill givr those a try..... i did the search and found out but cant figure it ut what to do i know it says to modify the frmawork -res apk..... but it says to go to a path res-value but cant find that on the framework file i fud res but no vslue folder or file... so i really did search it tells you to how to remove and add the screen shot... i dont want to download apps i already have one but i like the power button mod.... thats why am stuck and i ask for heko if some one eho does would do me a favor....

There are already two threads with mods for UCMC1 and at least one thread for RUXUMA7.
The powerbutton mod is available for download, do you understand?
As for the dialer recorder, I have no idea except that there is a guide somewhere.

No maybe you didnt understand or i didnt make myself clear .. i have power button on my phone.... but i dont want airplane mode in there ,instead replace with screenshot... and i cant remember if it has data mode remove that too. But the trhead says to change RES/VALUE/XML. There is no value path. So i was stock but am already downloaded the one recorder from play store. So i guess ill use that... thanks..
Now i want to see if i can fix my battery drain ....

Did you decompile it? This is way over your head, I think. Do some more research.
