I have a trident Aeges case on this thing already. What's a good REAL leather case I can get for it. Everyone says genuine, but at sub $4.00 with free shipping, I have my doubts. Personal experience greatly appreciated.
Anyone interested in a couple of holsters?

It appears this case has no screen protection, and no way to attach it to your belt...? Is that true, or did I miss something?
I'm about to purchase an HTC Desire, and I'm shopping for a good case/holster so I'm ready to go once I get the new phone (just waiting on the contract to expire)...
I work in a manufacturing plant, and I'm pretty rough on phones. I typically carry them horizontally on my belt, and I'm looking for something similar. However, I want something that will protect as much as possible as it get bumped on equipment, conveyor, etc. Screen-in is a must, obviously. I'd really like something that protects the phone all the time, and then some sort of holster that holds the phone with the protection.
The best thing I've found is a Innocase Rugged Combo, but it's only available for the Nexus One, and won't fit the desire...
Something similar I've found is a snap-on hard case combo but I haven't found any reviews. It's a hard cover and a clip-type holster together from Techie Warehouse (mfg unknown).
Then there are clip-type holsters like the Amzer Rubberized holster.
Or leather holsters like the MobiMan Premium.
Then, I've always got the option to make something. My best friend makes leather and kydex holsters, so I'm tempted to make my own holster like the leather or clip one. I would just keep the phone in armor like the Case-Mate Barely There, Case-Mate Tough, or PDair Aluminum Case within the holster I make.
What do you guys think? Any experience with any of these, especially the Techie hard combo case? Thanks,
Danny
Have you had a peek at the OtterBox line of cases? They are pretty tough, especially the Defender. The Desire cases are at http://www.otterbox.com/desire-cases/desire-cases,default,sc.html. Only the Defender has a belt clip, and it's made to fit the case. Someone else on XDA had one, and they dropped their Desire down a set of stairs, and it hit a wall and then the ground, and the case was undamaged, and so was the phone.
Just quickly, and off topic, but welcome to xda-developers, shorin!
Yes, I looked at the Otterbox cases. They look very nice, but they just don't quite meet my needs.
The Defender does have a belt clip, but it places the screen out. I'd break the screen in a day with that...
I have considered the Commuter if I make my own holster.
Thanks for the welcome. I've been on here quite a while. Just never needed to post until now...
Thanks,
Danny
It looks like the Otterbox Defender may be the ticket. I did some looking again, and I didn't see any reason the phone wouldn't fit with the screen in.
I found a review on YouTube that confirms this and I also asked the question via the Q&A on the Otterbox website and they confirmed that the holster will work screen-in.
Problem solved...
Danny
No problem!

Just a lily note. I personally use the otterbox defender. It fits the holder screen in or out. And my opinion the best protection money can buy.
Set Via XDA App
I've had the Skyrocket since day 1 and tried going naked but I realized I needed a case. Started with Neo Hybrid which was too big for me. Then tried the Barely There and it fit well but didn't provide enough protection. Finally went to the TPU case and I'm happy.
Anyway, is anyone interested in my Hybrid and Barely There? There are in good condition. I'll ship in the US for $25 via PayPal for both.
i might
can i get pictures/what color is the neo hybrid
Yes pictures please, i recommend imageshack
Post some pictures and send me a pm.
Pics! It's black/black.
Here's the Barely There.
I need some suggestions as well. I'm looking for a slim case. I tried the otterbox defender, good protection but huge and bulky as hell. Also a pain to put/remove from your pocket because of the rubber. I probably need a metal/hard case that has decent protection or shock absorption for drops. Also ebay is full of dirt cheap cases. I just ordered some screen protectors for less than 2 dollars with shipping. So I have the option to cheap out on a case as well, but I don't want something stupidly expensive either. The otterbox defender was 45 dollars in canada.
I have my s5 for a week now and although i do like to keep it without a case, it doesn't offer as much as protection but also i have been noticing that it is a bit slippery.
What are your recommendations for a case with a good grip? I was looking into getting something that wouldn't change the look of the phone much, but those slim cases that i have seen still seem slippery.
I was looking at the speck candyshell grip and although i didn't really love it at first, it seems like it would have a good grip. However, its very expensive and with shipping costs a bit over 40$ =/ So if you guys know a good and not so expensive case, i would appreciate the suggestions!
the zerolemon 8500mah rugged battery case it pretty good, and if you dont want a big bulky extended battery, otterbox is also a good brand to look at.
Thanks for the recommendations. I dont need the extended battery, but i will check otterbox as i have read good things about their "life proof" cases (though thats not the kind of case im looking for).
ZeroLemon zeroshock or razor armor
Laza x-armor
I just got myself their new X-Armor case. Great grip, study build and it doesn't look like anything else on the market which I love! The case is raised on both the front and the back so it keeps your phone scratch free and the case itself. Great look for the price.
Who makes the x armor?

Try the speck candyshell grip case. It has good grip and not too bulky

I can vouch for good grip on the speck, as well as body glove, and pretty good grip on uag.
Check out urbanarmourgear
Thank you all for the suggestions. I was going to go for the uag one but the price went higher and so I went with the candyshell grip, which was one the ones I liked also and I'm glad to see others are recommending it,so hopefully I made a good choice.
I will leave feedback of it once it arrives =)
Laza wireless
Its a company called Laza. I found their case on amazon(amazon.com/laza) and then visited their site.

Haha that case looks beast! Love the use of polygon shapes on it. Looks like something batman would have!
So, my speck candyshell grip arrives and...its awesome! it gives good grip, it looks nice(at least i like it) and it seems to have good build quality and materials. They could included a screen protector with the case considering the price and it would have been helpful whole my glass one doesnt arrive. Other than that, i recommend it.
One thing if you plan on getting this, monitor the price and of its not urgent maybe wait a bit. Use the website camelcamel to monitor the price. I got this for 20$ and i checked a few days ago and it was at 30$, so price can change like that.
Happy new years to you all!
Magpul is pretty good
Hi,
I use a TPU-Case from Art-Wizz,im very satisfiesd with that case
Spigen Tough Armor Case is pretty decent. Its quite hard and looks great too.
Hello fellow XDA members.
I'm after a leather pouch that will fit in my lovely new Mi Mix. I can't stand to cover her up with anything so rocking it naked with a pouch is my only option.
On most of my devices I've used a leather pouch from Sena Cases but non seem to fit. Are there any leather pouches that you know of that will fit?
Any help will be appreciated.

I used a Fitbag for an Oppo 5 I used to have. Can highly recommend them. When you place the order you will specify what device you have and they will custom make the pouch.
The site is in german but there are translators if you dont speak german
http://shop.fitbag.de
If the phone wasnt so slippery I would have gone for a pouch again.

Thank you. This is exactly what I'm looking for.
I've ordered one. I'll update with photos when it arrives.
Did you get your pouch? Just curious how it came out
When I was on the lookout for a leather pouch, I found an eBay seller from Poland that custom made lether pouches for me for a very reasonable price that fit my Mi Mix perfectly. They have lots of models to choose from.
I ordered one of these but without the velcro and strap part:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Leather-Mobile-Phone-Cover-Pouch-Sleeve-Range-of-models/322392369517
And one of these unmodified besides the custom dimensions (I sprayed it with the same product used to protect leather shoes to protect it against moisture):
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Lea...e-Holster-Range-of-models-Pocket/322544703692
I was even offered to pick the type of leather I wanted, it's thickness (thickness could be reduced with some machine), etc. All of this at no extra cost than the price in the listings. They both came out great. Let me know if you need pictures.
Try this:

I've used their cases on other phones before and been really happy! The detachable clip is particularly nice as you can leave the clip on your belt and just pull the pouch off
I just received this case and its really quite nice and perfect for the Mix. Its a little tight but after a few times it is a perfect fit. Very nice build.
