Database Info

Why doesn't settings save?

Wondering if somebody can help me with this, every time i go into my camera app, i have to edit my shortcuts all over again and whenever i put on auto contrast it goes to off once i exit. and my flash will reset. anybody know the fix?

Bumping so frequently is rude. I wish I had a solution, but I don't.
You could likely find an answer by using the XDA search function. It's your bestie.
Using SeanZ's SkyICS 4.2F r2 v6B ROM / XDA Premium

What ROM are you using ? some more info would help...
I'm stock on 2.3.6 and don't have that issue , and didn't have it on ICS leak UCLF5 or UCLE2

im on 2.3.6 stock. are you using a sd card?

Flashing problems

I want to flash my g3 to stock rom, but when I do, it gets stuck and freezing. It does not do this to other roms. Can anyone help me?

Did you try other stoock ROMs as the one you have might be corrupt?

The stock rom I download isn't corrupt. I used http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=22532034

Lost face unlock on Codename Android 3.6.6

Any idea why it is missing going from 3.6.5 to 3.6.6? Nothing about it in the change log.

I'll have to keep looking.
I don't remember flashing anything other than MMS fis when I originally installed the ROM.
Edit: Found it on another thread. Re-Flashed Google Apps and it is working now.

Can't get mobile data working for ANY AOSP Roms 4.3/4.4?

My d2vzw Mobile data won't connect when I have LiquidSmootj 2.37 v4.3 and also won't work on Unofficial Parandroid 4.4.2? I've tried clearing dalvik and regular cache in recovery but nothing... I also restored IMEI but still nothing.. I can still make and recieve calls but no data... I'm running jellybeans rom 4.1.2 and the 4g is exellent and my data seems to be working good but I just wanted to know what's causing the mobile data problem with the 4.3 Roms and 4.4 Roms?

Make a bck up file
try factory reset install liquidsmooth 2.37 gapps 8/13 then u should be fine.. At least i was
U can also try flash bckup file of older version of liquidsmooth 2.9 or 2.10 then flash 2.37 gapps without wiping nothing to see if that works
flash thru recovery
Also check that ur on LTE/CDMA/Evdo/GSM/WCCDMA

Thanks! I'll do this but I dont think it's a liquidsmooth thing... My mobile data have been acting up with all the AOSP Roms, even the 4.2.2 Roms

Im not sure but maybe BASEBAND might be the problem im on VRBMF1

Have you tried pulling the sim for a few minutes and then reinserting and rebooting?
Also maybe flash full mf1 firmware and then the new modem from the 4.3 ota. I think ML1, but double check in the firmware thread over in Android development.

I tried repulling the sim for a few minutes but nothing... I dont really want to do that reflashing all over again so i guess im done... Imma just stay with jellybeans... Anyway, tommorow im getting the new nexus 7 with pure AOSP sooo thank you anyway for your suggestions and I appreciate you guys help

Flashing firmware and modem are really easy. Just download the firmware, flash it, done. No setting rom stuff up. Worth a try if you're at your wits end.

Just flash the mf1 all in one firmware, clear caches and reboot. Then flash the ML1 modem that is also available in the same forum. No need to factory reset anything. Won't change a thing other than your baseband.

So silly question, but did you check mobile data settings and check to see if LTE/cdma /evdo were selected? Many users are reporting apps are flipping that setting (myself included on liquid) and it requires a manual switch.

Volume lowers itself on stock 2.3.6

For some reason the volume for the tone and text messages lowers itself for no apparent reason on stock 2.3.6
I have wiped and all that jazz does anyone know why this happens ?

thanks for replying mate, No i haven't seen it on any other ROM, i have only been using baked bean and stock 2.3.6, only happens on stock

Weird that's happening in stock. I'm not sure if the links are still working (I'm sure you can find them in here somewhere) but have you considered returning to stock using odin (no root, no custom recovery) and rerooting to see if that'll fix it?

yes i know it's strange, it doesn't happen on jb roms since those are the only ones i've tested on the phone. i wanted to get that crt enabled 2.3.6 but those links aren't working anymore, which is why i had to migrate to jb, i still want to get back to GB but the links aren't working
if anyone can help me grab the stock crt enabled 2.3.6 gb rom i would be extremely grateful
