[Q] Need Help - HTC Sensation

Hi all, I have a bit of a problem. A while back i broke my screen i have all the replacement parts, the only problem is iv lost the little rubber cover that goes over the mic ribbon just before the back housing goes on, Iv searched on ebay but have not found it. Just wondering if any1 out there knows where i may be able 2 get 1. Thanks Guys

I'm not sure that part is sold separately . You will just have to search the internet and see if you can find it. Worse case you might have to purchase the whole set again. The problem might be it comes as a set. If you have done your searching and can't find it as a single piece my guess is your going to have to just get the whole thing again. I wish you the best. Good luck. Just try a good internet search and see what you come up with. If no joy, then likely you will have to get the set again.

htc s beam?

I was wondering like the s beam has come to galaxy 3 ans pretty cool is there anything similar for htc? I know theres android beam but is it working on one s because I can't find it
the One X has android beam. S does not.
One S doesn't have NFC, so no beaming for you.

You could try something like "Bump" to exchange info with other phones using the app...as far as something like Google Wallet, no NFC means no soda without spare change.

Ha I know the BT thing was just poking fun. Bump is your best bet, but remember the other person has to have Bump installed as well for it to work. Not exactly new & cutting edge, and people might not think your as cool as you would be if you had beam
Anyone can have Bump, even iDudes. Only a few Samsung fanboys have NFC and most don't even know it.
Here is the thing.. s beam and android beam sound great in theory... just like google wallet, but i have had NFC for about a year and really havent used them once! but it does have that cool factor to it.
I didnt even realize the one s DIDNT ahve NFC till after i bought it really. but i dont mind

My bad buddy.. the fix was so easy - even a caveman could do it.
I found ONE CONTACT that touches the sim card, bent down slightly. I used a small paperclip and a small Bobby pin to bend it back...
I used the phone for about two days with no problems so far...

That's the solution..Now what was the problem ?

Need a power button.

So I was replacing a screen on a g2x and then after I put everything together. I noticed that I forgot the power button but I couldn't find it anywhere. So silly me have lost a crucial piece of the puzzle So if anyone have a spare I will buy it from them. Thank you.

I don't have a link on hand, but, a quick search for G2x parts should get you a supplier that carries new buttons. Recently, a lot of parts have become available for the G2X.

[Q] app development questions

Hello again!
I decided to stop silently browsing the forums and wanted to get into app development so I'll keep it short and sweet.
I'm a computer technician by profession with over 5 years in the industry (on and off paper). Reason for me mentioning this is because I'd like to get into android app development BUT I have no coding / programming exp aside from some silly HTML experience. I downloaded the toolkit and installed all the programs, packs whatever you will and started poking around. Is the toolkit provided by android my best shot? Basically where would the best place to start be AND would someone either have the time or be nice enough to share some emails / xda messages instead of filling this thread up and exposing my ignorance to android app development. The app idea I have is a simple overlay incorporating swipe gestures which is becoming more prominent in recent ROMs and even on the stock One X base from AT&T so I would like to get the development going asap.
As with the other post (MIUI theme dev questions) ANY help is appreciated and welcomed!
Thanks,
-Josh :good:

Thank you I will check this out. I guess I could have done a little more research but I was just looking for some hands on help, regardless thank you!
Most of the people on these forums will help you if you need it. You still get the occasional troll but I have found them to be nice to people just starting out.

Yeah I think eclipse comes with the ADT bundle for windows, or, you at least get the option to download and install it through the bundle. Thanks again. I also posted about MIUI theme dev but I didn't get any hits. Is this because theme dev for MIUI isn't really that big, or because I just blatantly missed a post descriptively describing how to theme MIUI? Lol I couldn't find anything for v4.

Yeah I've been silently poking around here for a couple months (I honestly cant remember signing up in 2011) and I've noticed as long as you do the research and aren't an...idiot, people are generally pretty nice! :good:
I would like to learn to modify or make sense skins like the ones found in viperxl roms but I have had no luck in finding out how to do it. If someone could please post a thread to point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. I have working knowledge of photo shop CS6 extended and would like to contribute.

This is my problem except illustrator and MIUI instead of photoshop and sense... I cant find anything either up to date or anything worth while.
I have Illustrator but I mostly use it to convert images to vector for people who need graphics or screen printing. Maybe someone will hear our cries for help lol.

[HW] - Earpiece/Speaker part

Hello need a little help. I am replacing front screen on my HTC one sv and need to replace earpiece as it didn't come out of old screen nicely. Where can I get this part? Is it same as any other phone?
Thanks

Hate to say, but I've never been able to find it by itself
It's on the motherboard
Are you looking for actual speaker or just speaker grill?

Hi,
I have found one item that looks correct from the states: http://www.etradesupply.com/htc-one-sv-ear-speaker.html
But to send to UK is a little expensive at around. £12 but I could go for this if its my only option.
Sorry I couldn't quote from my app it just kept crashing when trying to highlight your post.
