In their defense, some of those models are market- and/or carrier-specific rebrands of existing models like the Evo 4G LTE which is a Sprint only model and the DROID Incredible 4G LTE being Verizon only. Also, the 8X and 8S are WP8 phones.
I do think they could have left some models for CES or MWC next year like the One X+ and HTC J
Oh, well

[Q] Which HTC models can run dual mode (cdma+gsm)?

Hi guys! I need dual mode HTC phone. I know touch pro2 can run on gsm and on cdma. Is there are other models form htc which can run simultaneously gsm+cdma?
All I know of is the HTC Droid Incredible 2 on Verizon. I don't think Sprint has one.
HTC Droid Incredible 2, HTC Merge

[Q] What is the most High-Tech 3.7 inch Android Phone?

Hello everyone,
i am apearantly one of the very, very few people who don't think "bigger is better".
I am in the market to replace my aging T-Mobile G1.
I have played around with some of the phones my friends have (4" Galaxy S, 4,3" Desire HD) and find them freakishly large, nothing to comfortably put in my pocket.
Looking at new releases seeing 4.3, 4.5, 4.7 inch devices i can not see myself being comfortable with any of these monsters.
Seeing as my G1 lasted me about 3 years i'd like to find a phone which isn't horribly underpowered by even todays standards to last me at least 2 years again, so what i'm looking for is:
- GSM /HSPA(+) phone usable in europe (germany to be precise)
- Screen between 3.5 - 3.9 inch (3.7 idealy)
- fastest CPU/GPU available in this form factor (idealy dual core)
- as much ram as possible.
- front camera (if possible)
Hope Anyone can help, because all i came up with are Nexus One / Desire / Desire S, and i feel there should be better options than 1 Ghz Qualcom Single Cores with Adreno 200/205.
EDIT (Nov. 12th, 2011):
------------------------
The (prelimenary) Winner here is the T-Mobile US exclusive "MyTouch 4G slide".
It is working on all Bands used by every single provider in germany, namely:
GSM: 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
HSPA: 1900 / 2100
and has a dual core 1.2 GHz Processor aswell as 768 MB RAM.
PLEASE - if you can point me to a place where i can buy a unlocked "MyTouch 4G slide" that will ship overseas to europe, let me know.
*BUMP*
bump, bringing it back from page #6
On the HTC side, it is likely that the Desire S is your only option.
heh, my problem is that i only realy found HTC 3.7 inchers, i was looking for any others, but couldn't realy find any

Ot: Huge phones suck, ill wait for 3.2 inch dual cores /jk (htc titan is veeery tempting for me '_' shame its not android)

Thanks for the suggestions, but the Arc is a 4.2 Inch Phone, the Neo certainly has a 3.7" Screen, but comes with the same QSD8255 1GHz Snapdragon like the Desire S, but with only 2/3 of its RAM.
Many four inchers now are almost the same size wih the older 3.7 ones... you might reconsider.
Edit: eg; moto atrix close in size to iPhone 4s

WE HAVE A (potential) WINNER, PEOPLE!
After doing some more digging i finaly found a 3.7 inch dual core smartphone.
The 'HTC Doubleshot' aka 'MyTouch 4G slide' sold by T-Mobile US has a 1.2 Ghz Dual Core Snapdragon and 768 MB of RAM. In Addition to that it also has a full QUERTY Keyboard, nice plus there.
According to the Spec-Sheet on GSMArena ( http://www.gsmarena.com/t_mobile_mytouch_4g_slide-4018.php ) it supports all 4 GSM / 2G Bands used in germany, as well as HSPA on both of the 3G/3.5G (yeah, in europe HSPA+ is 3.5G, not "Faux-G" aka non LTE/Wimax 4G) Bands used by the german providers, namely 1900/2100.
So that means full operation is possible on EVERY german Cell Provider.
Now for the hard part:
The MyTouch 4G slide is a T-Mobile US exclusive and won't EVER come to Europe i was told by HTC Germany.
So......can anyone point me to a place where i can buy a MyTouch 4G slide, unlocked, with overseas shipping to europe?

EBay would probably be your best bet. As far as unlocking is concerned, you might be able to buy it unlocked or take it to a vendor who will do it for you for a small fee. Failing that, get a Galaxy W

[Q] HTC Titan 2 UK release date?

I am trying to find out when and if the HTC Titan 2 will be released in the UK. The US release date is 18th March 2012, but there is nothing on a UK release date
Does the UK have LTE?
Aside from LTE, HTC Titan II is very similar to the HTC Titan.

no LTE in the UK...yet!
HTC Titan 2 also has a 16mp camera (titan has 8mp). Basically I dont want to buy the titan 1 and 2 weeks later have the titan 2 come out!
No LTE in the UK yet, but the Titan 2 does still have 3G according to specs I've found online, so why not sell it in the UK?
Titan 2 Not to be sold in uk official HTC Site ...sic or what

[May 10] Countries that are now selling HTC One X LTE

There are only 4 countries selling the HTC One X LTE by today, seems it would limit the circulation of One X LTE, and limit the development & amount of customized rom in xda, wish i m wrong
Based on the simple comparison below, I am surprised that the built-in memory of the Australia is same as the International One X. The table will be updated in case of in needs.

In the US you have white only, you can also get the dark grey one as well.

no, One XL is in a higher price in Hong Kong
HTC One X (Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core)
SIM-free: US$669 / HK$5198
24-month contract: US$50 / HK$398 (4000 min talktime + Unlimited data per month with a free One X)
HTC One XL (S4 + LTE)
SIM-free: US$734 / HK$5698
24-month contract: US$54 / HK$418 (4000 min talktime + Unlimited data per month with a free One XL)
It seems the HTC One XL in hk is the same hardware as our (Rogers/ATT) HTC One X
I just flashed the asian RUU on my s-off rogers htc one x...works perfectly..except LTE due to the freq difference.
Telus will be selling the HOX this coming week as well in canada
Australia 32G
The Australian one XL has been delayed until June.
Wish it had T-Mobile US hspa42 band looks like I'll have to stick with the one s this summer

Wonder hk radio can unlock the hspa aws band ?

I wonder if hk radio can unlock the lte band when you bring the phone to Asia/aus. Shouldn't it be the same if they are using same hardware.

Where did you get that information from? I don't see anything indicating that Telus is getting the One X.

[Q] gsmarena.com incorrect HSPA? (UK)

I haven't been up to date on the specifics but I just switched networks to Three (UK) who support HSPA+ which I believe is supported on my phone.
I went to compare the HTC One S with the HTC One X on GSMArena which told me that the HTC One X was capable of 21 Mbps, while the HTC One S is capable of 42Mbps. Is this just an incorrect entry?
I can't post links as I have under 10 posts.
Thanks.
