this. there are no flashable zips in the OP

Can we just install the apps as system apps? (assuming we're running 4.1.2) Or will they have to be ported?

Installing these alps won't work properly. They depend on certain coding that the 4.2 has.

the dump and system apps are mainly for the devs, the sounds/wallpapers for everyone else.

Disclaimer, check. Now on to see what I can do.

Are these flashable zips ? or what ?

No they are not. The system dump will be used for developmental purposes.

Thanks for this, will see the wallpapers and sounds. I am a no developer here but the system dump and the system app are for developers only until the app is official to use. Heck the version is 4.2 also so it will be difficult to say that the apps would work.

What I did regarding recovery was:
-deleted recovery folder
-deleted references in update-script
-flashed
All was fine with that.

[Q] Timescape UI on G2x

I had the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 before and I recently switched to T-mobile and got the LG G2x. I was wondering if it would be possible to port the Timescape UI to ICS or GB? I have seen it happen with the Galaxy Nexus. I am a total Noob when it comes to porting. So I was wondering if someone could give me some guidance or if they would be able to port it. I tried to get the O2x UI on the G2x and it went horribly wrong. I love the vanilla GB but as of now I am running AOKP build 32.
I'll look at it but can't make any guarantees.

My GF has a x10. She hates timescape. I was always intrigued at how it worked though. Neat idea.

This is the Sony Xperia S Stock Firmware. This was used for the Galaxy Nexus.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1562605
Its a little complicated to extract the system.img
1.Unpack .ftf file(as .zip or .rar) to get the file : system.sin
2.Use SIN2IMG.exe to transfer system.sin into system.img
3.Use unyaffs.exe to upack the system.img into resources you need
I did some research and found that all the tools are here. Thanks again for looking into it!

Just out of curiosity, is this the same one used for the nexus 4?

[Bootanimation] Samsung GS4

Hey, First of all I will introduce myself a little quick hehe
So what to say.. Im from Sweden and i love making bootanimations..
I've made bootanimations mainly for Nexus 7 (which i sold a while ago... why i dont really know haha : )
anyways.. there have been alot of porting of my bootanimations to for example to Nexus 4, Galaxy Nexus and some HTC devices i think
I have myself ported it to Nexus 4 and Galaxy nexus so maybe some of you recognize me from Nexus 7 forums, how knows ... anyway enough about me!!
So here is my latest work and i hope you guys enjoy it!
There will probably be more bootanimations coming so keep your eyes opend
The bootanimation is in a flashable zip and tested in TWRP!
So tell me what you think
