go to recovery
wipe cache
advanced - wipe dalvik cache
advanced - fix permissions
reboot system
and try again
if it didn't help, you can try flashing another modem - on ics we use the padded modems (you will find them here)

I tried to flash another modem but the baseband didnt change. Someone else have eveything working? sgs4g+cm9 unofficial?

CM9 works just fine for WiFi. It is only the T-Mobile WiFi Calling feature that does not work on any ICS ROM for the SGS4G.
Changing the modem has nothing to do with the Wifi driver. It sounds like a bad flash or the way data was restored.
I'd read the Q&A thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1729121 and post any unanswered questions there.

1st- We try to keep these kind of questions in the general section. The "Development" section is for actual roms, hacks, and mods. It gets kinda confusing, I know.
2nd- Rom Manager needs clockworkmod to work. As of right now It is not working for the sgs4g. As previously stated they are working on it.
3rd- There are no real "rom's" to speak of yet ported to our device. There are a couple in this section that are basically stock rom updates.
I would read ALLOT before starting to mod your phone. This will get you started, and you can read how to use odin in the vibrant section, just remember do not flash anything from that section.
Thank you and will do

CM7 CWM build

Ok, for those that want it, here it is:
link removed to avoid any trouble
If anyone has a problem with me posting this, let me know and I'll remove it. It works 100% though. Built yesterday.
EDIT: For first time CM flashers coming from Samsung ROM's, MAKE SURE TO DELETE YOUR CACHE (normal and dalvik) AND DO A FACTORY RESET/DATA WIPE! Flashing from Green/Red CWM you may have to do a quick battery pull like the OP said in his installation instructions...

Yusssss!!! Finally been waiting for this.
I don't have access to a pc to perform an unbricking.. so..
I'm coming from s7 with a stock kernel, uv is enabled and in using the GB tweaks posted recently. Should I be ok to perform the install without incident?
Just making sure

problems found on LINK UP[ROM][CWM] updated 12/23/2011 | AOSP Style 2.1 | KJ6}

I installed this rom ( LINK UP[ROM][CWM] updated 12/23/2011 | AOSP Style 2.1 | KJ6} ) and got into lots of bugs so I'm gonna share it here what I did to fix it
1. Root was not working properly can't get permission from superuser
FIX: (I have to root the phone again with superoneclick 1.6.5 is the only one working for me)
2. SU binary won't update missing md5 blablabla cannot remember what it was
FIX: (I installed busybox to fix the missing file)
3. Android Keyboard force close error (the application android keyboard process com.android.inputmethod.latin)
FIX: (I look for gingerbread keyboard and flashed it)
You should post in the rom's thread so that the author takes notice.
EDIT
Just noticed you don't have enough posts to post in the dev section yet.
Try PM'ing him a link to this thread I guess.
Have you tried a data wipe and then reflashing? I was on that rom with no issues
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA App
Yeah, I had no problems with this ROM either... It's great, actually.
Rather than creating a thread saying that this person's ROM creates problems, PM is the best choice. Especially if you've read through the ROM thread and did not see a bunch of complaints.

jeeze, how many times do I have to tell people that I am working on a massive update. The android keyboard fc is a problem with Valhalla final. Also the root isn't an issue. Plus all users should flash the beta 2d kernel.

Maybe you should post this info in the OP of your development thread so you don't have to keep telling people. it first look like you ever update it and I wouldn't expect many folks around here to read the entire thread even though they should. maybe you should Post a section about other suggestions such as update to the new kernel and that the keyboard fc is a known issue. Btw, in observation, it looks like you might be starting to understand why people ask you to keep quiet about cm variations un less you have some development to offer

maybe its just me. I wasn't able to post a reply on that dev thread because I don't have enough post so I just make a new one and maybe can help other new user too having same issue.
I'm not saying that its the dev I just wanna share it to other users that might have same problem
I was on KD1 rom and reset my phone to factory settings delete cache in cwm and installed the rom. that what I did. and for the android keyboard I was gonna post the link for android keyboard here where I got it but it won't let me

Being on froyo and flashing a GB ROM may have been the "root" of your problems. Try my upgrade guide then re flash the ROM and give us an update

so far im not getting any issue going on right now after the fix I did.
I also have some question I have a Samsung Vibrant (T959) which has Bionix V based on froyo I believe and I really like it so I just wanna know if there's a rom like that for Galaxy S 4G? I've tried to flashed the bionix frost but I didn't like the custom theme running on proluncher and I don't like apps running in the background I like my phone on stock theme
EDIT: I didn't like the music player that comes on this AOSP syle rom I like the one that comes with the bionic V that I have on my Vibrant and I tried to install that music player apk I took from my vibrant to my galaxy s 4g but Im getting force close error is there a way to make it work?
use anything you want. Also, can people stop making a complain thread and close it.

[Q&A] Unofficial [BeanStalk], [DirtyUnicorns] 4.3

So I've noticed a lot of posts in the development thread that are general questions instead of relating to the Development of the two ROM's. So please, ask in this thread your questions related to BeanStalk and DirtyUnicorns. Hopefully we can help each other out to make these two incredible ROM's better and not clog up the development forum.
hi ok so you guys posted a new version of beanstalk how would i go to that build would i just wipe cache dalvik and flash latest version of it? what do you do?

What if you're running a different provider than T-Mobile? Like family mobile, Solavei, etc. Would you still download and flash the t989 radio? Or what. Please help

Factory reset/data, wipe cache, wipe dalvik. Go into mounts and storage and format data, cache, and system. Every now and again I'll format sdcard 0, but not every time. If you do this, make sure the rom is saved on external card, because if you do format sdcard 0 and the rom is saved there, you won't have a rom to flash. Flash ROM and gapps, you're good! I also suggest going to the blaze Bible and getting Blackhole. It's a beast when wiping for a clean install!
