I flashed cleanrom 3.1 on my cell phone and lost the stock verizon voice mail app. I would like to replace this app because all the voicemail settings are missing also. How do i go about replaceing the app and not the whole rom?
Thanks
I don't have the answer but I do have the same issue.
I did resolve an issue I had with Verizon NFL mobile. I was directed to a link that use Rom Manager to install. I was updated with 149 new files.
Point is I wasn't recognized as a verizon customer until I performed the update. It might be that Voice Mail is the same issue.
I am using Google Visual Voice Mail. So I really haven't found the need to search for a solution to get Verizon Visual Voice Mail.

I think if i could find the apk file i could reinstall it. I have regular voicemail not visual voice mail and it works just right for my needs.
Same thing happened to me. I switched to google voice mail and sort of forgot about it. I think you should be able to download one of the stock roms, extract it, and find the verizon apps that way. I think you need voicemail and there is one other verizon app that most of them need to operate (I forget the exact name).
I would do that if i knew how to. Im to much of a newbe to do that yet.
I FOUND IT! True red Verizon Visual Voice Mail. I installed it and was able to play a voice mail a few days old.
I am not sure what I am allowed to do here in that I found the file on another forum.
I will tell you that the apk is a hacked version of VVM for the Galaxy Note 2.
So in sum, NFL Mobile, and VVM now work on the rooted, unlocked, and re-rommed with Cyanogen 10M2 Galaxy s3 i535 (the very S3 Verizon sales persons at a store in my area said would not work with Verizon apps due to the mods).

Google voice is better IMO, if you cant fix Verizon Vm.
Well, I tend to agree Google Voice is better but I just want to go into my local Verizon store and tell the salesman that told me I had to give up on native verizon apps in choosing to root, unlock and rerom my S3.

Could you tell me how to get the visual voicemail reinstalled?
I have since installed Jellywiz rom on my i535 and VVMail works along with all other Verizon branded apps. And, I got Pop Up Browser to work.

anyone using this free service w/ the g2x? do you recommend it?
I used to use it. Then I discovered Google Voice and haven't looked back.

I use it in the rare instances I get voicemail and I have no problems so far on the g2x. You have to call T-Mobile and activate it on your account (it's free) .

Huh, I just checked it out in the market.. Check out the last dozen or so comments.. "Doesn't work on the g2x". Obviously it's working for you..
Working here.
I use Yap (search for it in the market). It's free and simple and works well. Very good speech to text recognition too.
youmail. love it, and it freaks my friends out when my voice mail knows their name...
Working fine here as well! The T-Mobile app that is.
I don't see why it shouldn't work?
For me it works out of the box, no activiation needed.
Just verified again that it works. Called my phone left a message and it instantly downloaded into the t-mobile visual voicemail app. I had to activate it a looong time ago with my G1. Only had issues with it on Nexus One.

+1 for Google voice. Not only does it work great for voice messages but also to send them to you via email. It has pretty good voice recognision and I also like that I can use it to call out over my Google Voice phone number, which I use for a personal business.
It's especially nice for calling someone who you know is avoiding your calls (lame friends) so they don't recognize the number.
Just wondering if anyone got the visual voicemail with the skyrocket. I had it but returned the phone because I wanted the sgsII back.
If so I was wondering if you can post the apk file for me?
Thanks all

SAme carrier, but different provisioning. You might have to treat google voice as if you changed carriers...
Have you tried getting it from the Market?

I wonder if it is possible for this to work on other Samsung phones (e.g. Galaxy Note) on AT&T if you have your voicemail number set to the correct number. I know when I switched from iPhone 4 to any other phone not purchased from AT&T, I would continue to get the AT&T iPHone voicemail notifications (which come through as a text message when you're not on the iPhone) until I changed the voicemail access number manually, or put in a call to have it changed.
Someone please look at their Skyrocket settings and provide the voicemail number listed there? Thanks!
You can't just plug in any number, it has to be the local "pilot" number for voicemail. Here is a list:

I am running Cyanogen 10 M2 on my Galaxy S3. I can not get NFL Mobile to run. It downloads and installs fine. I get a message link to verizonwireless.com/nfl that just sends me back to Google Play.
I get an error message that tells me NFL Mobile is for Verizon customers only.
Any ideas? I Force Stopped, cleared Cache, uninstalled and still no go. The app works on my rooted but stock Razr Maxx.

When you flash aosp (cm) it doesn't come with Verizon apps. That's what the updating is. The reason it doesn't work normally is you aren't recognized as a Verizon member through the app unless you're on stock. This allows you to log in as a Verizon customer.

Do happen to know if there is a way to get Vz visual voice mail running?
I use Google Voice because I couldn't get Vz v mail working. Google works fine but there is this part of me that wants to go back into the Verizon store and show the manager that yes indeed NFL Mobile an vvmail will work on my rooted, unlocked, re-rommed S3 that he said with his little quotie fingers you are not allowed to use verizon branded apps on your device.

Anytime you flash anything application that becomes a system app, android will "upgrade".
UPDATE VISUAL VOICE MAIL MAY BE WORKING.
I found an unofficial hacked version of Verizon Note 2 Samsung that has been hybrideded to work on the S3.
I'm not sure if I am allowed to share it as it is located at another forum.
I installed it. I have to call my phone to insure that it works but it did install and I found past voice mails that played.

I think we are all waiting for T-Mobile to update for KitKat. Since they finally started selling the Nexus 5, and the MotoX is running KitKat, they are probably going to see more of a business need to get this completed.
I was informed that nexus 5 is not supported for that app
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
You can install it but it doesn't work. Also the Tmobile account manager app barely works in 4.4. I haven't had luck pulling up my account info on it.
Somewhere in this forum the tmo visual voicemail is posted I'll see if I can find it and link you to it.
It will not show up (at least for me) in the play store on stock 4.4. I have installed the apk and it does indeed work. But I get dual notifications (one from visual voicemail and one from regular tmo voicemail).
They'll have official visual voicemail working soon I'd expect since the MotoX is also now updated to 4.4
Edit: click here for the post with the apk

Unless you are referring to a popup during setup that informs you that automated configuration of the voice mail is not sported - I have no clue what you are talking about. The voice mail setup popup can be skipped and then Google Voice provides instructions what to dial to manually forward voice mail from Verizon to Google Voice - always worked for me. For years.

It's going to be integrated into Google Hangouts soon. Whether that's really "updating" it or not, we'll have to wait to see.
If you are just using it for the voicemail, try better youmail. It integrates the voicemail in the call log.

Google Voice does that as well, if you want it to. (For people who want to know how, in GV, menu, settings, Voicemail display). I don't want it to.
