Android 4.2 keypad for Galaxy note. - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Themes and Apps

Hi there, many of you might already be aware of this but just to make it to notice for people who still did not get this awesome jelly bean keypad. I have been typing this whole message using the same keypad and it rocks. You can either flash it or just use it as a standalone app. Links for the two are provided. voice input works perfectly using this keypad.

i see lots of 4.2 keyboards leaks
which one to use?
also is it better than latest touchpal/swype?

Love the keyboard. Using now. As it builds up a pattern of my use its prediction seems to get better. Most of the time one ,or two letters and the word is up. LOVE THE SWIPE! With the big letters

Better do not flash it untill you have taken back up of samsung keyboard. But then again, sometimes flashing does not work. Better install it as standalone app. I have done it like that and it works excellently.

This is not one of those apps available in play store. It is the one ported from 4.2 jellybean Which is still not released and its an excellent one. We will see this once 4.2 is released.

Just install it from the Play Store. (Yes, it's the 4.2 keyboard. Not 4.1)

where is the link?

Sorry guys, the links are dead but I have the apk file and I will attach it in next post. I don't have it stored in my cell as of now.
I have personally not tried any other language other than English, but yes there is an option to enable Swedish.

Here is the APK file.
Here is the APK file attached. By default it has many languages listed in its language setting. All we have to do is enable them in language settings. I have not tried any language other than English. But yes, Swedish is listed too.

yes Swedish is almost always possible to enable so I get all the letters of the alphabet. that's not the problem though, the problem is they aren't swypable.

Downloaded and trying this keyboard. Response is quick, and auto correction is faster and more accurate than Swype, with the odd quirk here and there. I like the way you don't have to double circle over a letter to get the word to come up like you have to do in Swipe... For example, the words odd and letter were quicker to enter. Prediction and context seem to be much better as well. I like.
Not perfect:
Cannot see entire forum text box on my screen
Glitches while trying to go back and correct text
visibility of alternate characters, numbers still on separate page (would prefer a separate line of numbers above the letters, since a lot of modern text like passwords have numbers intermingled with letters).
Still, auto correct is pretty fast... I think this will be my go to keyboard!

I'm using stock 4.1.2
Does it has this keyboard coz the screenies looks same

Best free keyboard?

I was super happy with Better Keyboard on my Galaxy S but one day it automatically updated to a new version and now it will only work if I buy it. If I knew this was going to happen I would have never updated it. I even tried looking for the older version online but I could not find it.
So I was wondering what is the best FREE keyboard alternative out there? I don't use swipe but I do need the keyboard to be able to use accents (like ç, á, ô and so forth). Any suggestions?
I use thickbuttons its free..
i use gingerbread keyboard. Very good keyboard, highly customizable!
I've read that the only thing that doesn't work after the Swiftkey trial ends is the prediction? Is this right? If so I'm going to stick with it. I've just downloaded the trial and it's really great.

Swiftkey stops working after 30 days. They're sticklers about that.
If you like typing, I suggest the Gingerbread keyboard or the HTC IME that you can download from the nexus forums.
Swype is also available online. Google it.
hy. I use the HTC ime mod. today i try the swiftkey free, and the prediction of this keyboard are fantastic!
but htc ime have a key for the emotic, and use special char is easier.
there isn't a keyboard with the layeault of htc ime mod and prediction of swiftkey right?
Gingerbread keyboard is really nice.
I had Swype installed by default on my Defy and it was the first thing I installed when I got my Nexus S. I love it.

[Q] HTC Sense keyboard for CyanogenMod-7?

I have a rooted HTC Wildfire with Cyanogenmod 7 installed on there, but I want to know if I can get the default HTC keyboard on there, or a mod? It's the best keyboard in my opinion due to the auto-correct
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=728833
I've tried the links on here and also Gimpsta but for some reason the keyboard doesn't show, however the the GO keyboard works and so does the default Cyanogenmod 7 one? Any advice?
Thanks in advance
This one should work fine: http://bit.ly/qBgnAv
Flash it in recovery.
Hey, I've managed to install the keyboard and it does pop up, but I only get half the keyboard and it covers most of the screen. What am I doing wrong?
I've tried two different versions
Version 2.7 - Nothing pops up
Version 2.6 - Half the keyboard but it's too big and covers 80% - 90% of the screen

Swype on note 10.1?

I check this tablet @bb today. It does not have Swype.
Any way to instal it?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
Here ya go! You can download the installer from here.
http://beta.swype.com/
I have the above installed but have noticed that when trying to use on S note or Polaris, it does not function properly whereby when you Swype words, they don't appear on the app and if you try to delete, it does not do anything.
It works on all other apps but seems to fail on some Samsung optimised apps. Let me know if you have the same issues one installed.
Also just want to let you know that you can use Swype functionality on the standard keyboard that comes with the Note 10.1 and is very accurate too however we cannot have the minimised keyboard like Swype and for this reason, does not feel the same. The editing options are also much better on Swype.
It has a Swype-like feature built in. I've been using it and like it. Especially with the floating mini-keyboard. Just turn on "continuous typing" in the Samsung keyboard settings. I've been playing with T9 predictive typing and I like that too.
found it

Go to their website to install it. I did and it works great.
Is there a way to enable additional languages on top of English and Spanish?
The add languages menu for not seem to work
Ok disregard, out works
Ok typing from Swype now but lost the Samsung multi clipboard...which is useful
Edit: no it is still there this is independent from the keyboard
Does this function exists somewhere in Swype?

I have been using the swype. For almost 2 years on my galaxy s mesmerize for a couple years and love it. I couldn't stand the continuous type on my beautiful new tablet. I have been using the beta swype the past week and find out much more accurate. Is this the closest thing to the swype on my galaxy s? I do like the beta swype , and I'm sure will get used to it, but still prefer the galaxy swype
I tried beta swype and the swype apk from my Galaxy Note. One was super buggy and the other just wouldn't install. I don't particularly like the built-in swype-like (continuous typing) feature in the Samsung keyboard as it's not good with prediction and gives me errors most of the time.
The latest version, Swype 1.3, works great on the Note 10.1. It even allows you to resize the keyboard on the fly! So glad to have Swype once again, and I can now disable continuous text input in the Samsung keyboard.

I dont think that's possible until the Jellybean update comes out for TouchWiz, you could try the Swype keyboard, it doesn't have handwriting mode but Swype is nice on it. Lol Go to Swype (dot) com to get it.
I need your help..
Touchwiz and AOSP does not integrate...framework is completely different. if you dont like the jellbean keyboard try swift key from market!

Who's help?
I suggest you try swiftkey 3 from the play store. There's a 3 day trial I believe
If you don't swipe at all then swiftkey is good. but if you swipe then you'll want to try Touchpal Keyboard

[Q] Keyboard that takes privacy really seriously

Hey there. I'm searching for a keyboard that can replace my most frequent used Samsung default one. I personally don't like the KK keyboard or the AOSP board cause it doesn't support swype. Hackers keyboard is really nice, but doesn't have swype either. SwiftKey has a bunch of great features (swype ftw [emoji2]), but due to the permissions, there are a few issues again.
Can you recommend a keyboard that has the possibility to swype and is less permission-eager than those above?
PS: AOSP Keyboard wants to download files without my attention, I'm pretty sure this is used to download language packs. Is the dev able to collect other information about my use apart from just downloading files?

TouchPal X keyboard....
And it is free for life time with all basic features.... And more customizable...
