[APP][>=2.1] EasyMute - Android Apps and Games

Hello guys.
I just developed my first app for Android.
It's a tool called easyMute that will allow you to mute your phone while you're listening music without touching your phone.
It works using the proximity sensor. With a hand sweep near your phone (2 or 3 inches over it) you will mute your phone. Sweep again and volume will go back to normal. If you just place your hand over the device and keep it there, volume will be muted until you take it out, then will go back to normal too. It'll work even with screen off and device locked.
It also uses accelerometer and magnetic field sensor to detect whether the device is flat on your table or you have picked it up or placed it in your pocket. In that case, the proximity sensor will be blocked allowing the music to play while you walk around. When you go back to your office or study table and place the phone flat, the service will work again. This behavior can be disabled from options.
You can also set the quantity of volume reduction you want to apply when you do the gestures, from No sound at all to 10% reducion only.
Please, I need people to test it before I publish it on Andoid Play. Every comment is appreciated.
You can use the "Send tracedump to developer" button to send me a mail with a tracedump of the app log, or just post here your problems or experiences.
The app uses only INTERNET, NETWORK _STATUS and READ_LOGS permissions (this last one will be removed when beta phase finishes)
Download and test!!

Nobody tempted to test it? I need betatesters before making it on the market...
Cheers!

could add a feature where it runs and closes automatically when user defined music player is used and not used!
overall is good working app
great work

I'm working on a 4.0 >= version only that will work with RemoteControlClient ... this will allow me to detect media keys (play, stop, next song and so on) and would be able to start/stop service only when music is playing without having to worry what is the source application...
Thanks for testing it... if something goes wrong or doesn't work just send me a tracedump so I can see what was.
Cheers

Oh... by the way, did it localize to english ?? I have only tested it with friends here in Spain and didn't see if English localization was working ok

Modded Skype by SammyBlaze - finally the sound switches to earphone automatically

Hi guys, I tried some experiments with skype and Mort Skript.
So I created this modded version:
rapidshare.com/files/366681199/SkypeMobile_Modded_by_SammyBlaze_v1.1.CAB
udate: mortskript short cut added for first start to start menu
Skype switches now automatically between earphone and speakerphone by simply using Mortscript and Troca2:
Everytime skype is in focus troca2 will be executed so the sound is directed to earphone.
Install on Device.
After installation please reboot and run "RunMeFirstThenDeleteMe" first from Start Menu.
Now you can delete "RunMeFirstThenDeleteMe" (file explorer - my device - windows - startmenu -programs)
I recommend to uninstall your old skype first.
please report your bugs and advice here.
I am trying to integrate Hd2ProximityScreenOff so the screen turns off when you do a call.
awesome! testing this tonight!
Tried it, but unfortunately it does not even run on my Stock ROM Telstra HD2 in Oz.
Sounds nice, but you could say it needs to be installed in internal memory, that this installs and uses Mortscript, and that it's needed to run Mortscript.exe in \Program files\Mortscript to associate the extensions before the shortcut will run. Took me 15 minutes of tracking down what the shortcut was pointing to, opening the file in question to find leads as to how to etc to finally randomly run the Mortscript exe to make it run. Most people don't know/use Mortscript.
Anyway, it seems to work. But there again some explanations from your part would have been nice... at first it wasn't working, and I had to read the script to understand what it did to do correctly. So, it seems it opens an exe that switches output to front speaker whenever the Skype window is in focus. But as I turn screen off when talking (otherwise with screen on I keep pressing on hangup or other stuff when I put the phone at the ear as proximity sensor is not active), and this brings up S2U2, the Skype window wouldn't be in focus anymore, so audio switches back to rear speaker. Also, tapping anywhere in the Skype window during a call makes the little 6-icon popup appear, which the script interprets as Skype losing focus, and audio also switches. Same when adjusting volume, the volume window switches audio. Would be nice to have a simple way to find out a few window names and add them to the script.
Deactivating "lock when screen is blank" in S2U2 seems to make it useable, as long as you have a hardware key assigned to "Turn screen off" and use it.
Also for some reason, everytime I press the power key when Skype is in focus, the device comes back on.

Read my post above. Run \Program files\Mortscript\Mortscript.exe once first.
Made an update
look at first post.
I will try to implement Hd2ProximityScreenOff-0.2 but:
This would trigger the device lock
...this would cause lag in skype
Ok I could deaktivate device lock and then use hd2ProximityScreenOff
It works, thanks ^^
thanks summybussy ..i managed to install. it works fine. but screen is on when i make call....?
So now I understand why it did not work. I will continue to use Audio Route and/or my headphones. But thanks for the efforts. Not something I would even think of doing...
Skype soundswitch and turn display off

Unfortunately the screen remains on during calls.
I use ProximityScreenOff for that in combination with DisableAutoDeviceLock

With AeButtonPlus I mapped windows button (double tab) for device lock.

I have the same problem. Big issue.
It is because mort script run all the time and checks wether skype is active.
With the attached skypecode.mscr it will check only every 5 seconds wether skype is on focus.
replace it with the file in windows folder.
Skype uses a lot of battery on its own, even without Mortscript. Really not optimized at all, firstly it will prevent the device for entering standby as long as it's running, and secondly it uses a lot of CPU even when it has nothing to do.
i got it to work perfect on the 1st try...my only concern is, when someone calls, it rings iin the earpiece as well...can this be fixed?

[APP] [UPDATED] KeepAwake v1.1 - make apps prevent standby

Here is an application to make specific programs(like ebook reader,SatNav etc) prevent standby when they are running. It will watch them even when they are in background, so be careful, if you just forget them running in the background, your phone will not go into standby. (v1.1 change: now you can disable background watch by checking "monitor active window only")
Installation:
1- Just install the latest cab file onto Device Memory and NOT Storage Memory.
2- You need .NETCF 3.5, if you don't have it, install it.
Usage:
1- If you will use background watching, find the executable name from Task Manager/Processes, drop .exe part, type it into textbox and click add. (AdobeReaderLE.exe -> AdobeReaderLE)
1a- If you want to watch only the active window (so that your battery doesn't drain if you minimize the whitelist app) Find the window title of the application (Either task manager/applications or just look at the title if it is not hidden) and insert it as above. (Adobe Reader LE this time) you can have both versions live together. There is one limitation to active application watching though, if the application doesn't report a window title in task manager, you can only background watch it. (e.g. htcreader)
2- if you want to remove a certain app, select its name and click remove button.
3- if you want to have KeepAwake open but still not active (to force into standby) click stop.
4- this app autostarts with each boot, if you don't like it, delete the shortcut under \Windows\Startup\KeepAwake.lnk
5- this app starts minimized. if you want to configure settings, select the icon one more time or switch to it using a task manager.
6- if you click quit, obviously the software quits and no more monitoring is done, so click X after configuring if you want it to monitor your apps.
7- if you want to turn off screen and lock keys (for listening to music maybe) you can click the lock button. If your app is running, the phone will still stay awake.
Tips:
1- You can map KeepAwake to a hardware button for easy access and screen locking.

Thanks goes to Frank T. van de Ven for ProcessCE library.
Thanks a lot to DaveShaw for letting me use xdaShutdown application.
I'm pretty excited about this... I've been looking for something exactly like this to prevent specific standby times.
I hope it works with most of the applications I have in mind.
Any bugs? Would you guys find it useful to have a lock button so that it turns off the screen and locks keys but still keeps the device awake? I have implemented this for the latest version I'm using (to have my GPS logger going but preventing accidental touch on screen and keys.) Or is it better to keep it simple?
Will this also prevent Windows MSN not to idle which will cause lost connection too?
Sorry, I'm new to the WinMo scene, just saw this on Pocketnews. Let me get this straight, will this work for apps that run in the bg that don't close out IE:
Facebook
Google Maps
Email
Albums
etc.?
because they slow down my phone, I want to close them out completely, not run them in the background so they can take up valuable resources.

I haven't specifically tried MSN app, but I see no reason it shouldn't work.

I think you need a task manager so that you can close apps. This one is for making certain apps prevent the phone go standby.

I haven't given this a try yet, but any more additions are welcomed! This is something I've been looking for. I think it might be nice to give a way to put settings per application for standby perhaps (like some applications don't let the device go to stand by for 3 minutes, others are like 30 miuntes, etc). I think having't the screen off is a good addition, but keeping the device working is good, so things like voice recorder can work without having the screen on.
Seems to work well for IM services.
I haven't tested it completely for Opera and internet-browsing programs.
Nevertheless, this is a great idea.
new version is up..
What about on option... KEEP IT ON ? (Like LOCK)
This option would simply keep the phone ON, if the application is running in background even if we haven't listed anything
Is it possible? Maybe it's already included?
Thank you
Great app !
It doesn't work on my HD2. Youtube is running and my device locks and stops YT...
Any ideas??

I thought about that but later decided that not many people would find it useful. if enough request comes, I will add it. In the meantime, you might just add an always running app like device or cprog into list manually when you want to keep it on always. or just minimize an app in the whitelist

that's odd. I just tried and Youtube keeps itself open while playing a video for me even without this app. (Locks on the search screen) But still, KeepAwake seems to detect it when it is running. After installing have you clicked on the icon to run KeepAwake? Then minimized it by clicking on X? Have you tried another app, like Adobe Reader for instance? Is youtube minimized or active?
Hi,
Will this application disable lock option on device while using some application - eg. iGO Navigation?
Thanks

as long as you don't lock it yourself, yes, it won't be locked.
Very nice app...much thanks!
The app works for eReader on my Omni II running 6.3 One word of caution I have the x= app closed option turned on so the x shuts down keepAwake. It took me some time to figure out I was closing the app not minimizing it.
How would I go about disabling the standby while in a call? What's the name of the application I need to put in there? I'd like to use it so the sleep during call doesn't stop the call recording utility from working, but I still would like the screen turning off when keeping the phone at the ear.
Doesn't work on touch pro2
The software breaks error when we try to add software to the list, only with the program in background it goes to sleep anyways. It's a good idea, but not there yet...

[App] Wave Control - Use the light sensor to control your phone!

Just found this app and it is one of the most amazing things I've ever experienced. It can use the light sensor to control music playback and call options. It is limited and buggy but it works well.
Block light - play/pause
Wave once - play next
Wave twice - play previous
Wave thrice - enable/disable

Thanks
Glad you like it!
Let me know if there are any features you want to see.
Oh and what kind of bugs are you experiencing?

Oh is this your app?! If so I really enjoy it so far.
Stone things I've had issues with is getting the three waves to work. I've tried it inside and outside the app. Also, I have no idea how the pocket mode works, could you explain how to properly use it? And would it be possible to add a confirmation on closing the app?
Edit: this is your app! Great work. I just got the three wave to work, takes a bit getting used to. And maybe an idea for a feature, but would you think adding a sound notification for when gestures are detected? Like a Facebook pop sound when it detects a single wave, a double pop for a two wave gesture, etc?

I just downloaded the app this morning great work, and I agree some notification would be great

That's a great idea! I'll see about adding it.
Pocket Mode only doesn't allow the controls to get enabled without the screen on and app in foreground. You still need to disable it before putting your phone in your pocket.
Some people had asked for it since they left the app running and even though the controls were disable when walking the 3 wave gesture would get triggered just by their phone moving in their pocket and re-enable and start playing music and skipping around like crazy.

Oh well that makes sense, I've just been putting in my pocket while a song was on so it would turn off. Since my jeans area pretty slim I haven't had those issues. I'm enjoying the new update, especially since it won't accidentally close on me. An issue that I have been encountering is that the app will so recognizing gestures after about 10-15 minutes of the screen off. I have to relaunch it to get it recognizing again. I'm curious about the pro features and I'm amost ready to purchase it but would like to see this issue fixed along with an optional sound notification. Also, would it be possible to implement launching the app with a long hold of search button? I have a shortcut on my home screen because I've been using it a lot and this would make it more convenient. If you put that in pro then I'm in.
Edit: oh and maybe add an Upton for which app it can control?

[APP] Smartswitcher

The app is now on google play, get it there if you want it:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...wsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5wZXJtby5zbWFydHN3aXRjaGVyIl0.
If you want to support the developer of this app you can get the prokey here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...EsImNvbS5wZXJtby5zbWFydHN3aXRjaGVycHJva2V5Il0.
Since this app is still very much in development you can see it as a donation, but a donation that gives you access to all the future development and features of this app. It will also give you start on boot and unlimited actions.
# What it does #
Basically what it does is it makes it possible to launch androids taskswitcher (recent apps) or call another action such as home, back, menu or turn screen off by waving your finger past the proximity sensor. You can also set an action to run when your proximity sensor is covered. With a little practice this really makes multitasking much faster. There is now also actions for media like volume, play pause and such, aswell as a flashlight (only tested on galaxy note, probably wont work on all devices) The media-actions are not properly implemented yet, so all actions may not work on all devices.
There is now some other features aswell.
Smart keep screen on will keep your screen on as long as you hold the phone in your hand. When you put it down, it will let the screen go off. I have only tested it on a galaxy note. Feedback on this would be welcomed.
You can now also run an action to keep the screen on permanently, or atleast until you run the action again.
Feel free to try it out.
# Instructions #
Configure actions for each number of waves up to six. The action you choose will then be executed when you wave.
You can also configure an action to launch when you cover your proximity sensor and for when the device is shaken.
If you have trouble with the gestures and smartswitcher recognizes the wrong gesture, you can adjust the gesture sensitivity. If you put this on low, the response and gesture recognition will be fast, but you will have to wave fast also. On high, the opposite is true. If you are not Lucky Luke like me, medium or high should work.
# Planned features #
Multiple actions for one event
Actions: toggle wifi, mobile data, bluetooth, launch apps, etc
Device facedown event
"Franticwave", action for when you wave past all six waves and then stop.
Suggestions, anyone?
# Known issues #
If the gestures stops working, particularly after using the screen off action, the gesturecounter probably consumed some magic mushrooms and forgot to count the waves and got all confused. You can either restart smartswitcher or wave until it starts picking them up again.
# Other #
The powerconsumption of the proximity sensor is extremely low so the impact on your battery should be fairly low. Did anyone using this notice a reduction of battery life, and I mean that in a more scientific way than just checking under battery in your system settings? Was it 5 minutes or 1 hour?
Zenblom made a video of smartswitcher:
He also compiled a list on working devices:
# Confirmed working devices #
- Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000
- Samsung galaxy s3 i9300 international version
- Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 P6800
- Sony Ericsson xperia neo v
- HTC One X
- Sony Ericsson Arc S
- Galaxy Nexus
- HTC evo 3d
- Samsung Galaxy s2
Thanks Zenblom!
# Changelog #
Version 1.1.7 2012-08-25
-Added cm10/JB compatible recent apps option.
Smartswitcher behaves really badly in cm10. Since everything worked great in cm9 that I just ran ten minutes ago I am not sure how to handle this. A use at your own risk warning for cm10 maybe?
Version 1.1.6 2012-08-23
- Added non root actions: Toggle airplane mode, launch browser, launch calculator, launch messages, send message, launch camera, launch contacts. Also end call, but it did not work properly so its set invisible for now.
Decided to freeze the features here, or this thing is never going on google play. If you cant find something seriously wrong with this version until tomorrow, its going on play. After that, I will continue developing the app but the updates will come via google play.
The smart keep feature... I may have to scrap that idea. I cant get it to work reliably. It can be made to keep the screen on on very small movements but then it wotn turn the scren off instead. Will fiddle a bit more before I give up. Its now set quite sensitive so it may not turn your screen off properly now, if so you can just press the powerbutton or disable the damn thing
If you have any ideas on how to make this work better, please let me know!
Version 1.1.5 2012-08-21
- Fixed the bug that caused to ui to crash or slow down when you were shaking the device. Should work fine now, so there should now be no need to close the ui when trying actions any more.
- The smartswitcher listening button will now completely (hopefully) unregister sensorlisteners so if you press this button there should be no batterydrainage at all.
- Made the handling of sensors a bit more effective. Now if you have no action on any event that need the accelerometer, it wont register and use battery power. If you set none on accelerometerevents the sensorlistener will unregister and stop using battery. The same goes for the proximity sensor.
I was hoping that the users with a glowing proximitysensor will tell me if I got this to work right
Version 1.1.4 2012-08-20
- Toggle wifi, bluetooth, rotation lock, ringer volume, audio volumeactions added. The do not need root and does things the right way. Audiovolume does not seem to work, will check why.
- Added something I called quick actions menu, but the first time its launched you may wonder why I did not name it slow actions menu After its loaded once it should work faster, it could slow down every once in a while, I will fix this. Note: if you cancel this menu strange things could happen, I forgot to implement oncancel. The plan is that you will be able to make these favouritemenus yourself and add the actions you want, and trigger your new menu on any event. I need a database handler som I have to fix this first. I never intended for this app to do all of this stuff, if I did I would have done things differently from the beginning. I noticed that this menu is counted as a pro action so you can only use it 20 times before it resets, sorry, did not mean for that to happen. For now there is only a few actions hardcoded in there.
Please close Smartswitcher settingsscreen before you start playing with the actions, strange things can happen if you dont. This is betastuff, so you cant expect things to be perfect even though I do my best for them to be as good as possible
Version 1.1.3 2012-08-18
- Added action keep device alive. If you run this, your device will not sleep until next time you run it, period. It wont activate if the device is already being kept awake by the smart keep screen on function, have not tested this very carefully. If you feel a burst of short vibrations, the device is being kept awake. If you use this, dont forget to turn it off, or it will drain your battery.
- Adjusted the shakedetection. It should now work much better and should notmake doubleactions. Try it and tell me if it is better or worse.
- Adjusted the smart keep screen on function to a little less sensitive. Sometimes it did not turn the screen of because i set the sensitivity too high so it detected movement event when it was fairly still. Try it and tell me if I made it better or worse.
- Added support for up to six waves by request. Tested it some, it seemed to work fine.
Version 1.1.2 2012-08-17
- Added action flashlight. Will probably not work on all devices, but it works on my note atleast. Will add more variants for other devices.
- Added EXPERIMENTAL Smart keep screen on function. There is no adjustable settings yet, just on and off. You can try it by setting your screen timeout at a low value like 15 seconds. As long as you hold your phone in your hand, the screen should keep on. If you put it down the screen should go off in 30 seconds or so. I adjusted it to work on my device, but that does not mean it will work good on yours. There is no settings for it yet. Try it, if you dont like it, disable it. Will also spend some time on next version with the shake detection, Its teally not what I wanted it to be. It works, but barely.
Version 1.1.1 2012-08-16
- Added shakedetection. You can now set an action for shake. Note: Will cause the ui to crash, press backbutton to close smartswitcher settings before using it and it should work fine.
Version 1.1.0 2012-08-15
- No visible changes, but lots of changes in the code. I hate spagetticode, so I spent some time removing and rewriting things. Sensorcovered will now really have zero delay if you set that.
- Made the number of proactions allowed to 20, as I said I had done. It seems it was only 10
Version 1.0.9 2012-08-13
- Fixed sensor covered, now it wont trigger any action if you remove your finger within the delay time.
- Added a BUNCH of actions. Some will work on your device, some will not. (Depending on rom, installed apps etc) The new features are for the pro version (Yes I will make a pro version.) I am a nice guy so everything you had before still works, plus you can use the profeatures for a total of 20 times, after that they will reset to no action. You are free to select pro features again for another 20 times. Sorry about this, but I have spent quite a few hours on this app now, and I would not mind getting a few bucks for my work. Please tell me what price you find fair for this app, if any price at all
- Made it so that gestures will work on active phonecall. This means actions like for instance hangup will actually hangup the call. Sensor covered should not interfere with anything now.
Version 1.0.8 2012-08-11
Note: Remaining bug, sensor covered works but the delaysetting does not do what it is supposed to do. That is, even if you remove your finger from the sensor within the delay time, the action will still trigger. Sorry about that, will fix. Too tired now
- Fixed the bug that caused settings to not save after a while. Should work fine now.
- Added configurable settings for sensor covered so you can now set any action for that event. If you have a device with slow sensor you should now be able to launch recent apps by setting sensor covered delay to 0 and action to recent apps. You can now also set screen off as action on any wave.
- Fixed vibration feedback for sensor covered event.
- Removed Screen off setting as it is no longer needed.
- fixed some other bits and pieces and cleaned up the code.
Version 1.0.7 2012-08-09
- Completely rewrote all of the code for taking care of actions. If I am lucky this will take care of the strange superuser permissions error. Unfortunately this way will mean an ever so slightly slower response, but if it turns out this way works better, I will see if I can speed it up some.
- Lots of bugfixes. Wavesettings and gestures off in landscape SHOULD work properly now. So SHOULD the screen off feature.
- Added button to stop Smartswitcher from doing anything at all. Now, please tell me what I have broken this time
Version 1.0.6 2012-08-08
- Added settings for all gestures. You can now disable/enable/configure individual gestures. I did test this, but not very carefully. I should stop doing this so late at night. Please tell me if you find problems.
Version 1.0.5 2012-08-07
- Added option to disable gestures when phone is in landscapemode. Now you dont have to kill smartswitcher if you find it unusable in landscape and then start it again when back in portrait. Let me know if it does not work as intended.
- Changed the vibrationfeedback on recognized gesture to a more gentle level.
- Find my sensor-mode is gone. Kind of useless feature anyway, good riddance to bad feature.
Version 1.0.4 2012-08-06
- Wave once for recent apps, twice for menu, three times for back, four for home. No customizable settings for this yet, I need to sleep now Oh, I broke find my sensor-mode.
Version 1.0.2 2012-08-05
- Configurable delay for the screenoff when sensor covered-feature added
Version 1.0.1: 2012-08-04
- Disableoption for screenoff "bug"
- Changed Get the feel-mode to Find my sensor-mode, hopefully this is not as confusing
More coming. If you have any ideas or suggestions, let me know.

Hello!
I made a little app that I am not sure if anyone but me will like. Basically what it does is it makes it possible to launch androids taskswitcher (recent apps) by waving your finger past the proximity sensor. With a little practice this really makes multitasking much faster. Atleast, thats what it did for me. I was hoping for some testers here on xda. I have only tested this on a galaxy note running paranoid, it seems to work fine on that rom on the note, but i would like to see some more testers.
Feel free to try it out. If anyone likes it i will put it on google play. By the way, you need root for it to work. I attached a full version except for autostart on boot that will not work in this version.

Well it vibrates but does not launched recent apps.

The fault may be mine, but just to be overly clear, you have to wave your finger past the sensor AND back again within a relatively small amount of time. Maybe you did that.
What is your phone running?
Hi,
I've been testing both an earlier version and current version and it works fine for me. Could be that I'm also running paranoid (v0.5) on a note.
I shot a video on an earlier version:

(I'm not allowed to post links yet so you go figure)
Just tested it on stock LRG with CF-Root kernel. Works well.

Cool! I hope it will be of some use to you. Thanks for testing!
Is this battery friendly? I love the idea and if it doesn't drain my battery quicker than usual I'll be using it instead of the long click of home button.
Please add an option to hide the notification icon. I don't think there is a need for it as this is a set it once and forget about it app. You don't go changing the settings every day.
Thank you and good luck with this awesome project!
EDIT: btw, I'm running stock rooted 4.0.4 and this works great!
Oh god that's a great idea ! Way faster than long-pressing home button. It works like a charm on jellybean cm10.

I was expecting someone to tell me to remove the notification icon I know, It was really useful get to the settings quickly when I was developing it. I will see what I can do to remove it. As for the battery, I have not really noticed any change in drainage at all, but please tell me if you experience any bad impact on battery life.
Thanks for testing!

Excellent! Wave on
One small notion i made: I recently installed WidgetLocker and it's possible to swipe your finger for recent apps while the lockscreen is active/visible. Not that it's disturbing but it's good to know! In ics lockscreen everything works as intended!
Doesn't work on mine unfortunately....I'm on LRG
Only vibrated

I am actually aware of this problem. I have sent an email to the developer of widgetlocker but no answer yet. I could not find a way to detect when widgetlocker was running so i could disable smartswitcher. I will keep trying to fix that issue. Thanks for letting me know!

Thats a bit strange. It worked for a previous poster on LRG if I am not mistaken. I don´t mean to offend you, but are you sure you are doing it right? Set the sensitivity to high and try a few more times. If you enable the somewhat strangely named Get the feel mode, the phone will vibrate a little when it "sees" your finger, thats just to help you find the sensor. The Vibrattion setting will make the phone vibrate a little longer when you waved correctly. If you cant get it to work, let me know and I will try to help you get it working.

No matter how I slavery finger over it (fast or slow), it just vibrates and nothing happens....I'm on the stock LRG kernel.

You must de-select "get the feel"mode in the app menu, otherwise out only vibrates
Carefully crafted on my Galaxy Note, for your eyes only
I installed it minutes ago,
and it works great.
Switched to high.
I'm on classic rom v3.
Only thing is, deactivate vibration and feel mode, but still feedback with vibration.

Not working on cleanote rom really like the idea though!
Will be keeping up to date with this for sure!

Satechi BT MediaRemote Bluetooth Multi-Media Remote Control

I found something interesting on the Amazon store I thought I would share, I found this is incredibly useful for me so hopefully is to someone else.
this should work on pretty much any Android device but I'm posting it here as it is the only one I can/have tested it on.
I cannot post links yet but it can be found on Amazon UK under the name "Satechi BT MediaRemote Bluetooth Multi-Media Remote Control"
It's a small Bluetooth remote for iPad/iPhone/Mac and very quietly mentions Android so I decided to buy one and see how it goes as I needed something like it for my car.
Anyway it arrived this morning and I love it, I've successfully used it and I've been able to remap keys using the "External Keyboard Helper Pro" app by "Apedroid" which allows remapping of keys to media keys or launching apps.
All keys on the remote can be remapped except the wireless symbol which un-pairs and goes into discover mode.
My requirements were a remote that allows me to change tracks while driving but it also got Google now working in my car Bluetooth system. (it did not connect properly when I launched it via car voice controls)
I have now got the keyboard button remapped to switch to the maps app and the mute button to launch Google now so once Google now is done I have a button to go back to the navigation screen .
I have also been fairly successful in getting this to work with Tasker however it required a small workaround by exporting the task as an app (via Tasker App Factory) and then using "External Keyboard Helper Pro" to launch it.
My only issue with the remote at the moment is that it connects as a hardware keyboard meaning I cannot type while using it (obviously not an issue in the car though)
All this was done on a non rooted Nexus 4 on 4.4.2 so root is not required by the way.
If anyone has any questions feel free to ask, I'm going to figure out how I can bind the other 9 keys on the remote
Oh and finally if you do use the app in question and use Tasker I'd recommend exporting a Tasker task which launches the intent "android.intent.action.VOICE_COMMAND" rather than using the built in voice control key setting.
Dude!! I have totally been looking for this! I like playing podcasts from my phone while I'm working in the garage, so I hook the phone up to my stereo but whenever I need to pause it or adjust the volume, I gotta go clean up or slide out from under the car... This will be perfect!! I'm totally ordering this right now!! Thanks brother (or sister?)!!

Could you please check if there are any answer call buttons or microphones on this thing? Personally I hope not because it happens so easy in your pocket.
