I've been addicted to Google for a couple Of years now. but I seem to be more and more obsessed With anything related to Google and specifically anything to do With Android.
what I've noticed about My addiction:
-constant checking Of apps in the play store. countless times per day
-constant checking if there are upgrades to My existing apps. countless times per day.
-countless playing With My android phone. scrolling through the home screens, launching YouTube, etc...
-continuely looking for videos related to Google products (fiber, Google now, nexus, etc...)
- continuely looking for videos related to ANDROID phones (note 2, galaxy s3, LG optimus g, etc..)
-searching for Google tv stuff
-I'm following Google and android on My Google+
-I've downloaded almost every Google app on My phone
I think that's all for now...

There's this application on Facebook which has thousands of random random and funny statuses which I'd like to see on android. iOS already has an app for it so why can't android too? I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be too hardto develop it if you knew what you were doing, I sadly don't.
I'm sure there's many other people who would love to see an app like this on the market also. Cheers.

I think it would be cool too! I've seen it on both iOS and on WP7 so like you, WHY NOT US?!
BUT while we wait for some developer to do his or her thing.....here's what I found

I'd guess it's just needing the API or something. I don't know. it says it's incompatible with my intl S2? Lol.

You must be mistaken, they probably posted those in the marketplace, and as much as I want to yell at you, cause seriously the play store is only for apps music movies and books. If you want covers and all that crap, go on eBay. Like seriously, is this your first android? Everyone else be free to poke him, but give him slack if its his first phone which is on android.

When on your phone it seems you can't shop devices, but there is indeed a "devices" section on the play store if you go on through your PC. And the nexus 7 is available

I tried to find it on the market app but I couldn't get to it. I searched Galaxy Nexus and Devices and nothing turned up.
Now on your PC, on the top left there is a drop-down that you can hit and it will show devices there. That is where you can purchase the GNex and N7 and probably link you to the accessories. I am at work, so I can't give you precise directions (because my work server blocks the market but not XDA/vBulletin) but I've been watching the GNex price fall for awhile on my PC in the market from that drop-down.
As the title specifies I'm really annoyed that Google gave iOS a better search than us on ICS. They basically gave them the search of JellyBean (minus the Google Now). What the hell?!

You answered yourself right there. We have Google Now, they don't. Why would they make the exactly same search app for Android when Jellybean has it. I also understand that its not there for Android, but what happened to downloading that flashable package that you can just flash to get GNow? iOS doesn't have that now do they...
Just my opinion

Google doesn't make very much money from Android itself; it's mostly for revenue from the Play Store and the data/advertising that they pull from mobile users.
Google needs excellence in a bottle to get iPhone users to use their apps over Apple Maps and Siri search (which is why the iOS Google Maps looks better than Android).
Give them time; if you haven't noticed they're revamping everything. Gmail, Offers, Currents, Play Store, Google Music; they're finetuning everything. Don't get butthurt so quickly.

Second this! People take everything so personally. Google makes a lot of money off of people using their products on iOS devices. They'd be stupid to provide a less-than-exemplary experience, even in a competing ecosystem.
Google now is still better than the search on the iPhone. But I must say that chrome is a lot better on the iPhone.

It's not; because Apple doesn't allow Apps to really do their own thing on the phone - Google Chrome for iPhone is essentially Safari with a Skin over it
I'm a little confused by this rant. Google now is extremely powerful if you know what you are doing and its only getting better.

Ah OK I see the ICS now, but still I don't get the point of this rant or why its here. It has nothing to do with the skyrocket and honestly I don't get what the op wants. Root the phone run any number of jb ROMs including a leak firmware. This thread really provides nothing to the community.

Google are becoming Apple, every new update they've done something to restrict the freedom of the platform or make you jump through several menus to get to what used to just be there, kinda like Windows 8 lol.
After using Symbian on the 808, I just think Android is so far behind it in terms of functionality, Nokia let you do anything, they don't care, though they ditched it now so why should they lol. I wish they didn't ditch it now though and I wish the 808 had newer specs because the browser is so slowwwwww!

With ads forming a big revenue for some many developers Google was contemplating it for a while. I guess it will soon be side loaded ad blockers only. I hope they allow update to older already present ad blockers.
I was using AdAway. AdAway is available in, and even receives updates through the F-Droid app store, so that's what I'll use for the time being.

Ads are part of how they earn money on this _free_ OS and the hundreds of _free_ quality apps in the store.

I understand removing from Play as long as those of us somewhat more techminded can still sideload...

What does it take to be successful in the Google Play store? I've been developing for over a year now... I've only been able to make about $10 a month, if that... What am I doing wrong, or not doing? How do I get my apps seen?... Also, scan my profile pic, to see a list of my apps

In my opinion to be successful in any of the major app markets such as the play store and app store. You have to be able to create something that people didn't know they needed. Something that is new and innovative ad that has never been done before. Also if it is a game it is an good idea to make it as addicting as possible.

**Press the thanks button if I have helped you.
In short, app failed because no one know it, no one like it, no one use it.
At first, should not follow the money, but your product. If you want to win, you and your product must be different (unique is even better)
Second, marketing. I think you already googled for the tips. But read them again. It may help.
