Who is the source of this? If I were to use it, I would like to know who to credit.
I would as well, but I can't find it. I read about it in the article that I've linked on pocketnow. I should just point out maybe that it was in no way through my doing that this is available. I just wanted to spread the news, that's all.
Don't know, I installed it and it's working fine on my HTC One X, still testing though.

just flashed,
on my nexus s slimbeam, seems to work, maybe not so smooth as swipe or touchpal but the dictionary seems better
Good to see it works for others too.
I installed the new camera apk (by moving to system/app etc) on my nexus s running blackbean 6 and it works! But it keeps fc'ing when i open sphere camera mode!
I deleted the old gallery app should i have kept it? Or does it fc for you too?
I haven't been able to try the Camera mod yet, I'm only linking so that others can try them. The keyboard however does work for others, and I'll try it soon.
The keyboard is working... strange to write with it if youre not used to it! ;D
But id rly like to try the sphere mode!

Agreed. Camera works for Cam and Video but not Pano or Sphere (FC). Does anyone know if we must delete something, or fix permissions?
Camera apk on Nexus S i9023 stock 4.1.2 (deodexed-zipaligned) works well... I've found PhotoSphere fix, but after all, it says me: "Your device is not supported yet: Nexus S"...
No FC but this... I think that in two-three days it will work...
PS.. sorry for my english..
PS 2.. even "normal" panorama work.. no FC..

I am really enjoying this build but I seem to be having trouble when exiting a landscape-based application such as games (like Grand Theft Auto 3 and Modern Combat 3). Everytime I exit the app, my launcher forces into landscape mode and I can't regain portrait mode in my launcher until I force close the launcher2.apk. I would prefer it to stay in landscape only, as Google intended. I have tried using both the launcher included as well as the launcher2.apk from the JRO03D OTA. Any ideas or suggestions? I really want to stay on stock AOSP JRO03L but this problem is quite annoying. Thanks in advance.

Yeah unfortunately I had to move away from this build until that issue get addressed. I look forward to using this build when it gets fixed.
Easy fix.
go into build.prop and delete the following line
launcher.force_enable_rotation=true
If you don't know how wait for ROM w line removed uploading now...
Updated d/l link and have no landscape as default.
Thanks for reminding me to this this. I found it annoying too.
My solution was to open an app that did not work in landscape and would force it back to portrait.

Thanks for the rom. Out of curiosity, is there a reason you're not using Google Drive to share the zip? It seems a common sight for people to run out of dropbox bandwidth but Google does not - AFAIK - have this limitation.

But well "working" was overexagerated! quality Is horrible! i hope thats just because Its Not optimized for our camera yet.
well... the stiching process needs to improve!
And the normal panorama as well!
Yeah I've had issues like that with the stock panorama as well. Maybe adjust the speed and method of rotation having your body act as a tripod. Also try the gmscore. apk in the second post for viewing the photosphere, it will open it in a nice viewer.

okay, just flashed the v4 zip from the thread in first post!
panoram viewer works now. gotta test if it stiches better now ^^
well..... No!
still stiches horrible! a 5year old child could do better!
and for the normal Panorama... do NOT shake! you're supposed to keep the camera totally calm and stable. or else you can't take a useable panorama picture!
in that case it would be way more usefull to let the user shot themselve and not autoshot!
hmm, I'm not having many issues with the photosphere stitching, it seems to work pretty nice for me. Even at night at a concert I was able to make a nice picture of the area.
It is probably a sensor issue from like an accelerometer or something, not getting the right readings of angles and what not to match everything up right. I'm sure it won't be too long before it is set right for tablet use, the different size and shape would change the math a bit I'd imagine. Maybe we can get the version from the nexus 10 and see if that works better with the note 10.1

There is still one more thing needed to get the photosphere running right, gmscore.apk and that can be found at the source but takes some time so here is a link to it in my drop box, along with the zip with the carmera for the apk, move it to your system/app reboot into recovery to fix permissionss and then after you take a photosphere pic, hit the icon at the bottom to get to the viewer, it's pretty cool.

You don't need to worry about modding that anymore with the zip on the second post. But it is the file that holds the properties of your device, kind of like a config file or something of that nature. Others can go into more detail, or you can open yours up and look at what's inside.
It is in the /system folder

It works really good, and takes swype to a new level.

to get it working however, after following your steps, I had to delete the old gallery (gallery2.apk in system/app), and set system language to english (US) otherwise I got FCs on AOPK JB. (GmsCore.apk is still needed, and wiping cache/dalvik is recommended as well)
In the original thread you linked to (THX!), there's a newer camera version: 4.2Camera_t04.zip (you linked t02) which can be found at http://d-h.st/aIy. In this version, photosphere works - kinda: for me it takes the first picture, then shows you where to move the cam to, but refuses to take any subsequent pics...

Okay so I've searched all over Google and asked around threads but could not get an answer. So I'm hoping someone can come in here and help me this. I recently switched from the ATT MIUI ROM to the new 4.2.2 ROM and the one thing I noticed about the camera was that it wasn't as good as the MIUI camera. Specifically the video recorder. CM records in DVD and the MIUI recorded in HD+. I been trying to install or replace the CM camera with the MIUIv4 camera but I can't get it to work. Even when I was able to replace the CM camera with Miui camera by renaming it to MotCamera and rebooting. It would just end up recording in DVD again. How can I get the MIUI camera to work on my phone or have the video record in HD+ and not in DVD? its driving me insane.

Yes. I'll change permissions to rw-r-r and reboot and nothing happens. If I try deleting the stock camera rebooting, the camera is missing. If I try renaming it to the stock cameras name and replacing it, same thing happens.
I guess since the miui is ics based and hence it cannot work properly on 4.1/4.2.
You should try some other camera apps like lgcamera. It works flawlessly on CM10.1.

I uninstalled the MotCamera that came with the ROM, got rid of the two gallery apk's and moved the BlurCamera(MIUI camera) apk into system/app and renamed the permissions to rw-r--r-- and rebooted and the camera wasn't there. No camera app at all.
That person could be correct when he said that the camera I am trying to place in my 4.2.2 ROM is ICS based and that is the reason why I'm not able to get it on the ROM. Here's the APK though. This is the APK that is in the ROM from this thread - LINK
