Hello Everyone.
I am on scv7 2nd leak 09/21/2012.
I want to go back to OTA ICS 4.0.4. I have downloaded the file from the Firmware Super thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1934874
File name :
randing: Retail Asia
Version: 6.7.2_EDEM-18-SEARET FULL
Android Version: 4.0.4
Bootloader Version: N/A
Webtop version: WT-3.0.0
Requires RSD Lite 6.0
Requires Moto Android (De)packer 1.4 to edit.
Can some one please tell me the step by step procedure ? Can I flash the file by Atrix Bootstap ? will it brick my phone or create any complications ?
Please help me out.. I will be really thankful !

What you downloaded is FXZ, so you can't simply flash them like ROM.
Please start to read this thread and look for a section called "HOW to FXZ". The guide is been written for 2.3.5/2.3.6 but for ICS you just need to replace the fxz file with what you downloaded.
Its been pretty much explained in that guide, read it few times you should be fine. Still if you feel as you need detailed help, wait and may be some one help out here. Or probably you could ask the same question in NOOB Q&A thread. Its been while I am done that, so I couldn;t have step in top of my head to list out.

Submit the following files (using adb pull):

/system/build.prop
MSU.txt of Motorola Software Update (You only need the version of Flex)
Configuration > About phone > Webtop version

I've got a request for the AT&T ICS FXZ.
The files are all attached in this post

It might be a good idea to include the MD5 sums for each of the versions in your directory, to alleviate further question...

i'll check the missing partitions and test the rom downgrade/sidegrade ability soon.
What about the ATT US
Edit:
It should be named something like InlineFlashing_edison_6.7.226.125_cfc_p3_APBP.xml.zip so you can look for something with the prefix of InlineFlashing_edison_6.7.226.125 or just InlineFlashing_edison_6 .
Cheers!!!
First of all, Thanks so much pzyduck! But I do agree with those before me, Any luck or leads on a AT&T fxz?
Bump.

waiting for the "ATT U.S. FXZ for ICS" :fingers-crossed:
I did not want to risk change with other roms, I have the AT & T official ICS.
It is better not screw up with a softbrick, if you do not have the respective FXZ.
for now remain in stock.

What is the status on the ATT US 4.0.4 67.21.125 Fastboot files? I would really like to know because I'm the kind of guy who wants to know before blame.

Hi,
I've looked around the forums and couldn't find an answer for my question. This is all new to me so sorry in advance if I missed the thread.
I just bought the Motorola Atrix 2 from AT&T. I believe I'm running ICS 4.0.4 but how can I tell? This is what my About Phone says:
System Version : 67.21.125.MB865.ATT.en.US
Model Number : MB865
Android Version 4.0.4
Firmware configuration version : GAS_NA_EDSNICSATT_P006
Webtop Version wt-3.0.0
Kernel version : 3.0.8-g41e08bd
So my question is - Is there a root tutorial for my phone? Also, am I on ICS ? Thanks in advance

You are indeed running ICS. My recommend way be to root would to use THIS
Just download, and unzip. Plug in your phone and MAKE SURE your phone has USB Debugging turned on found in the Developers Menu. And just run the bat file. The phone will reboot a couple times so don't worry.
AND welcome to the Atrix 2 community!

First off, n00b or not, you should ask with a little more humility for someone to take it upon themselves to search the forum for you and provide links to address all of your concerns. Not everyone sits in front of a computer to be an "on call support" for folks. Now then, you mentioned you removed Bootstrap using BootMenu? You should have never had two recoveries running on your device. What I would suggest you do, is re-flash the ICS FXZ/SBF to your phone, and only install one or the other of the two recoveries -not both. A clean wipe, flash, and installation of either CWM or BootMenu will likely solve your problems here, and maybe even more that you've not yet discovered yet...

There is no custom recovery for our phone. I hope that someone will be able to build one. I've got the Hong Kong version and flashed it with Taiwan rom because it was 10D and I had 10b.
http://www.lg-phones.org/official-lg-g-pro-2-d838-v10e-firmware-rom.html you need to download the 16GB version.
you can flash it with this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2797190
I'm not responsible for any damage that you will cause to your phone.
Hi Sarvesh,
Even I am in need for the LG Indian version rom but its not available and hence I did not even root. If you install the Hong Kong version and need to go for the warranty repairs. LG CS will detect that the rom has been changed and hence will not give warranty. This is the only reason I have not rooted my phone yet.
guys is there a way to extract the rom from the phone directly. If yes, can you please guide me so that I can extract the rom and save it somewhere in the cloud so that everyone can benefit.
Regards,
Kailash
Hi Guys,
I dont see why you can't root your phones. You can always come back to stock using the LG Mobile Support tool. I had softbricked my phone a few weeks back and was able to restore my phone with stock LG ROM losing the root access.

Hi Sarvesh,
I kind thought of that but after rooting. So after changing a lot of ROMS and playing with the system i finally got a way out (just incase i need warranty) Can you send me a screenshot of your software version screen(Settings>About phone>Software information) ?
Here's what i tried.
1) Installed a custom rom
2) then installed a stock rom HKG version 10a
3) then i ran towelroot again to root the device
4) then edited build.prop file to edit information like build version, build number etc)
5) rebooted and saw the info. it worked. Then unrooted the phone.
IT WORKED > So basically i have stock rom which shows I have the Indian version
Please pm me the screenshot or send it here and i'll tell you every line that you need to edit. :good:

Hi Sarvesh,
Sorry for a delayed response, was out of connectivity areas. Looks like you have already installed a different stock. Because as far as i know the sotware version should have -IND-XX at the end.....However,
Once you have root, download and install the build.prop editor (you'll find it on google play)
Once done edit the following entries.
-ro.build.display.id =KOT49i.D83810d
- ro.lge.swversion= D83810d-IND-XX
(where 'd' is the version...fo it can be f as well. But keep both same)
That should make your ROM look like stock indian.
Then using supersu pro unroot the phone.
