Is it somehow possible to change the display resolution of the A700 from 1920x1200 to 1280x800 ?
I'm really unsatisfied and dissappointed of the performance in some app and most games.
I already have the latest Jelly Bean update, it improved the performance of the UI somewhat but apps are still laggy.
So is there a way to change the resolution?
via changing settings in a file, Driver hack, custom Kernel oder whatever?
Thanks in advance.

Has anyone noticed lag with GIFs on this tablet? I frequent Homestuck so I use both Flash (semi frequent frame skip) and viewing GIFs (much lag even after loaded). Somehow both of these lag on this beast of a tablet and I was wondering if there is a fix for either issue. I tried setting the CPU governor to performance (locking it at 1.6Ghz) no dice, tried different browsers, no result. GIFs of other sites lag as well, but do NOT on my much less powerful Galaxy Nexus with CM10. Is the GIF issue an ICS issue? I don't seem to have problems with either on my Nexus. I was also wondering, since the Tegra 3 boasted hardware accelerated Flash why am I experiencing lower performance than I get on my Nexus (which NEVER supported Flash). Thanks!
Hello,
I have a chinese tablet and in the specifications its written that native resolution is 800x480 but the real resolution is 800x455 and bcz of that strange resolution I can't install some apps and other application are crashing or are displayed incorectly.I'm on Android 4.0.4 and tablet is rooted.
Question: There is any way to force the 800x480 resolution?(Changed the DPI but the problem persists).
Sorry if this is a silly question.
Thanks!

Hello. Is anyone experiencin ingame resolution issues on 5.0.1? All of the games on my Shield Tablet seem to be rendered at low resolution (jaggies everywhere, definitely NOT 1920x1200) and changing resolution in NVIDIA power settings does nothing. Any leads?
What about changing resolution in the games themselves? Are we talking about what's rendered on the tablet itself?

Basically, it's about the game resolution on the tablet. I am not using console mode.
Hello,
I want to know if it is possible to optimize the resolution of android games?
I have a galaxy tab android S2 and some games have too low a resolution. It's like 400x300 on a 2K device.
Thx
I believe the reason of that is because this particular games are not optimized for your device. I doubt you can do anything about it.
is there a way to "simulate" another device ?
What I was about to say was that it's not the matter of the device model but it's the matter of the screen size and density. The system performs scaling and resizing of the application to make it work on different screens. However, scaling can result in blurry or pixelated graphics. To avoid this problem, the developer of the app should provide alternative resources (bitmap images, etc.) for different densities (i.e. optimize the application for different screen sizes and densities). If this wasn't done, the application is simply stretched to fit the screen that results in poor graphics quality.
And if i root the tablet to use an app that changes the DPI and resolution of the device.
Do you think the game will also change the resolution to improve it?
I don't know if this will work. Maybe someone else knows.
