Should have checked the manufacture date and the sellers reviews

Sadly this is very common. There is a lot of fake batteries going around. This is why it's best to just buy a battery from a reputable dealer. It will cost more but at least your getting the real deal. Personally I've never had trouble with anker but I decided I needed more juice and just went with mugen. I got the big 3800mah battery. It was expensive but worth it for me. Mugen also had 1900Mah for about forty or thirty dollars. Get the battery directly from mugen because of the fakes floating around. I am very sorry this happened to you. Sometimes we live and learn. Hope you can get your money back. Best wishes

Did you buy it FROM Amazon or ON Amazon?
There's a HUGE difference.
Amazon is both a seller itself and a website that hosts other sellers.
Amazon is a reuptable seller.
But there are bad sellers who use Amazon as well.

Are you satisfied with Mugen 3800mah battery? What is the maximum battery timing without charge? Please reply.
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using xda premium

Hi yes I'm very very happy with the 3800mah. It lasts about two days. With extremely heavy use about 20 hours. However it's not for everyone because it does make the phone thicker, new back is included. For me it didn't matter because I was after battery life and it don't bother me at all. I can still put phone in pocket and it feels good in my hand. It's really not a big deal but for some people it might be. If your after battery life then it's the only way to go! I know it's expensive but honestly for me it's worth it because battery was my biggest issue. If you do decide to get one make sure to calibrate instructions included. You won't worry about battery again! Make sure to get the 3800 it's been amazing! Honestly I can't say enough great stuff about it! You will stay on 100% for two hours with heavy use! For me it was the answer to my battery issues. Hope this helps and best wishes!

If you bought it somewhat recently, contact Amazon and tell them you want a new one.
Amazon is really awesome about returns and exchanges, especially when the item is faulty/broken/not as advertised. They'll pay the return shipping and everything.
Here's their policies.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=901888
I've never had even a remote problem returning something to Amazon. They are absolutely fantastic. Of course that's here in the US. I don't know if they have a different system in Germany, but I can't image they would have dramaticly different return policies.

Thank you so much for your detailed review.. I am considering the purchase of this battery, but as you said, I am worried about the thickness of the phone..
Well let see..
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using xda premium

You know I got used to the thickness quite fast surprisingly.at first it was a bit awkward But for me I had had it with crappy battery life and it was no beauty contest, so the thickness really didn't bother me at all. In fact it just reminded me that finally I don't have to worry about my battery!
It still feels good in your hand but takes a bit of getting used to. After awhile you won't even notice it. It's just at first your like wow this is thick! Then as you use your device it simply becomes the normal. Just with amazing battery life! If you do decide to get one purchase directly from mugen to prevent any fakes or counterfeit battery. That's what I did. So many fakes going around! Also tip, get the 3800mah it's there newest improved battery and it's really amazing! The 3600 is the older model. Honestly I know it's expensive but in the long run it's worth it. It's just getting over the thickness. But it still goes in the pocket. Also I got a case for mine that clips on to stuff to carry it easier. The back that comes with it could be built better I think but the battery itself is completely awesome! I don't regret buying it. Really the thickness is the only part that you have to over come. And like I said believe or not you do get used to it. Hope this helps a bit. This is my honest review. If you can over come the thickness it's an amazing battery. Best wishes to you.

There's nothing wrong with it. The HTC reports the Anker battery as 1520 which is the stock value when you don't put a battery it recognises in. There is another thread somewhere on here which has gone through this fairly thoroughly.

which battery?

There are now like 5 extended batteries for the sensation.... which is most reliable. There are 2-3 1900mAh, one 1800 and one 2400mAh.... What is best and actually gives the biggest bump?
Anker 1900, for $10 wins have gotten excellent reviews on that thread
I would say the Chitech is also good but those are $20 and prob have the same performance as the Anker
Go with the Anker it has the most positive reviews I have one and I love it
I ordered the Chitech mainly for reputation and it has gotten good reviews as well. I don't mind paying an extra $8 (got 20% off with the OFF10 code) for reliability.
I ordered the Anker. Heard better reviews on it. So i went with my first instinct.
I like that Chitec is a little thicker than the OEM battery. This means the back cover will squeak less (I have stuck a piece of paper in there now ).
Is this also the case with Anker?

Got Chitech and it works great.
try the yoobao 1700mAh!
36 hours of power with moderate usage!
4 hours of wifi
calls,3g and DATA on....
very glad to buy this model!!!!!!!
Got a chichitec and its awesome. Also picked up an anker. Just started using it this morning. I bet it will be the same deal as the chichi. Feels like the same battery with a different label wrapped around it.

Thanks for the heads up dude, I'm definitely going for a Chitech one. It looks cool to me.
Chichitec rocks socks.
I completely discharged , then charged in the wall charger 3x. Then I kept it in the phone the next cycle, overnight, and the thing took off ever since.
I've been getting a full days use with, normal for me use, where im usually dying by 5 or 6 pm I'm now left with battery to spare when I go to bed between 10-12.
I unplug in the morning around 7 am.
Couldn't be happier, and for a normal day I wont need a spare. :-D

I'm using an Anker battery and it's really good, better than the original xe battery.
I charge the battery over night, so i can't tell you if it needs more time, but I think it should'nt take much more time than the original.
anker best
hi, the Anker's and Mugen are the best
Battery
I have this one http://www.ebay.nl/itm/330683288786 cheep and good, and I am very satisfied!
+1 bought the same one. Great battery.
Default one use for extra power in travel and etc.
i've been running a chichitech for the past couple of months and i love it!
I'm using Anker walkpower and they are awesome and great price/quality.

Anker or ChiChiTech. Both are good. Havent tried Mugen
I personally like Anker better simply because of the price.

I have one of the gold batteries and I don't really get more than a day. It is almost certianly bending the truth about it's capacity. I ordered an anker battery today as I'm not comfortable with this ultra cheap looking battery in my phone.
I'd go for an Anker.

Anker or Mugen?

I was wondering which one is better. I heard there were some problems with Anker, like random reboots. What are the pros and cons of each battery?

Anker is reliable and so is Mugen
You have to ask yourself one thing, which do you want to spend more on?

Ankaaaar!Pros
- Works great, runs a lot longer than stock sensation
Cons
- May cause reboots (I've had them, but after I discharged completely and charged again, it hasn't done so since.)
Mugaaan!Pros
- Closest to mentioned battery capacity
Cons
- Very expensive
- If you get the 3600mah, then possibly wifi and phone signal issues
Both are better than the stock, but personally - buying the mugen is not worth the price.
Another advantage to the Mugen is that it has working temperature sensors, which the Anker does not.
I have the 1950 mah Mugen and have been extremely pleased with it.
I've bought a couple of Anker batteries in the past for my Sensation and G2x, and I have to say they work pretty well. The most noticeable thing is that they don't get as hot, but they don't have temperature sensors, funny.
I would definitely go for Anker, although they make me worried sometimes because they are making these batteries in a Chinese factory...and I'm just not used to the idea of Chinese-made products working well.
Had an Anker for six months, never had any random reboots, battery life seems to be around 20% more than the stock battery.
For the money its a no brainer really.
Agreed! I personally like Anker over Muggen simply because of the price difference.

I run an Anker in both of my Sensations with no issues (knock on wood). For $40 bucks it's hard to go wrong.
As far as Chinese products go... Unfortunately, I trust many of them over US products. I know there are many cheap products from China, but I've also gotten many great deals either through import dealers and/or direct from China. The fact that these are being dealt through a reputable import dealer is a good indicator that they must be decent.

Sure do!
I ordered the mugen 1950mah today. I hope it's worth the money. Looking at what people say about the anker, it probably isn't. But, I'm willing to give it a try.
I would choose Anker. For the price of one Mugen I bought 2 Anker batteries with charger from amazon...
meredybanson said:
Mathematicly correct, but keep in mind that Mugen officially garantees 400-600 life cycles. In longterm 2 Ankers will last as much as one Mugen. So we are almost at the same price tag, so i would choose Mugen. Because ultimately 1 Mugen is as powerful as 2 (3) Ankers put together...

AGAIN, you are mathematically correct, BUT 2 ankers will give you doubled Juice as you can swipe between them when one dies, Which is actually a better deal

Searching for a better battery...

Hello,
I have some problems with the stock 1520mAh battery of the HTC Sensation.
Since I have an internet flatrate & mobile internet is always on, my battery drain is very high and empty very quickly.
Now I'm thinking to buy a better battery, where I see a difference between the stock battery.
I found this one on ebay with 2300mAh: >Klick<
What do you think? Has anyone experiences with this battery?
Thanks, ~Maik.
Anker is a great battery. Its a long lasting battery. Get it off Amazon not ebay as they have many fakes going around. Its made a great difference in my time!

Hi there, I am very very happy with my Anker battery! It makes quite a difference! I was fed up with my stock battery draining so fast. I got Anker to try out and its been wonderful! When you buy it buy it off amazon because eBay sometimes sells counterfeit . They put a sticker over the actual battery making it look like a long lasting battery when its really not. Just to be safe, is shop Amazon . You will be amazed At the difference the Anker will make! Hope this helps you out ! Best wishes!
