Hey guys,
I've got a TF300T running the 10.4.2.13 update (so the newest JB) without root, and no nvflash which is bricked.
I've got APX mode, but that's as far as I've got.
Any suggestions?
Help's much appreciated

Indeed that help much appreciated, but one question before:
Have you tried to search and read a little bit before to post your request? I don't think !!
Because if you had searched a bit, you would have seen that a few posts of this subject have previously posted.

Jay, I think what the gentleman above was trying to say (in a more POLITE MANNER) was that it is preferable to post a question after taking some initial steps to Google and search the forums. It's OK to post a question, but people just want to see that you've done some work beforehand. UNFORTUNATELY, various forum communities seem to antagonize new posters by harassing them to search, without really answering the question.
Try reading Here to see if anyone has had a similar problem?
Sorry I can't provide more links, as I don't know what nvflash/APX is, nor have I had a need to use it. Perhaps someone else can post some helpful links?

I haven't tried, because I use terminal emulator for my adb command
Hi guys, thanks for the input;
I failed to mention I spent a fair while (to no avail) searching for anything relevant to sort my tablet out, had only come up with "send to ASUS for repair" - so that's my bad for not clearing that up
philos - it's 2:41am here, I'll give your suggestion a go in the morning and let you know how it goes!
opethfan - I'm in the same boat for not having a clue what APX or nvflash do, nor have I needed them in the past...
I find it weird that my tablet just /died/ one day. Kind of unfair!
Anyway, I'll have a crack in the morning - thanks for the input gentlemen!
UPDATE: No dice, I'll need to install Windows 7 on a virtual machine to get the correct APX drivers working for my tablet, good thing that I don't have uni tomorrow! Round two tomorrow!

Cheers, yeah I'm running Windows 8 at the moment and it spat the dummy trying to install them, which I find weird because every other driver under the sun is backwards compatible...
Just installing Windows 7 now Keen to get this working!

And unfortunately no dice with Windows 7, so at this stage I think it's fairly safe to assume it's a hardware failure with my tablet. Called ASUS and they pick it up tomorrow, very friendly customer service!
Thanks for the help guys, when I find out what they determined to be wrong with the tablet, I'll be sure to post the result in here to let you know.

I keep reading about this method, but no one actually takes the time to explain how to get started doing it?
Like is it something that you have to do from your PC? Is it something you do from within ConnectBot?
What I need to know is what steps do I have to take to get to the process where I THEN start to enter in the coding?

Thank you. So far this is a great help. I'll make contact if I have any other issues regarding this.
Ok so one of the things that I'm not sure about is when I plugin my phone, I get a message saying that it's installing drivers for ADB. But then after a little while, it then says that it failed. I also cannot get HTC Sync to work either for some odd reason.
Running Windows 7 64bit.
Hi
Can't help you anymore. I'm running win xp and i don't really know about adb.
But i'll try to make a search for you.
What's your phone ? 1.5, 1.6....2.2 ?
Hi
Here's the link for hero driver (win7 64bit) http://handheld.softpedia.com/progDownload/HTC-Hero-Drivers-Download-81097.html

Hey guys Sorry for repost of the same questions im freaking out here... I just did some research (something i should have done before posting first , but im in freak out mode)....
Im stuck in bootloop after using the latest TnT lite...I would like to get that back .
I researched how to address this, however i see a couple of ways to get this thing running again, here is what I found:
Using Nvflash got this on TegraTabs site... does this require using my computer?
Here XDA... I saw that someone had the same issue and Clockworkmod Recovery was suggested.
OK this is where i am comfused If i use Clockwork I need my windows (vista) computer correct ? and it looks like I am going to be using command lines also (not a big deal for me)... I saw that i am going to need android SDk and also tegra drivers as well?
I am not looking for the easiest way looking for the best way ... Sorry for asking again however being a noob to Android I just want to make sure that I am doing things right.. is there any other information that would help you guys help me? let me know... again thanks you guys... still in freak out mode and dont want for my money to have been thrown away...I appreciate the help....you guys rock

Best way is to download the Android SDK (to get ADB), the Tegra drivers and NVidia's SDK which includes nvflash. You can get the Tegra stuff here or over at our sister site, tegratab.com (we started putting stuff up there while waiting to get our own forums here on XDA). To get nvflash access, you'll need to modify the Android SDK's INF file (if you're on Windows). Nvflash can get you out of almost anything. Best to back up your images using nvflash before you flash anything else, that way you've got a copy of what's on YOUR tablet as it comes, stock. Since you're stuck in a bootloop, I'd guess you no longer have any stock partitions so maybe just pick up the stock images from over on tegratab.com. They should be fine for you but it's nothing like having a pristine copy of your own images.
Hope that helps. Not sure if I gave enough detail but shout if you need more. We have some really good people here.
Yes you need a PC for NVflash. If clockwork fails then your going to have to NV flash back to stock.

I plan to incorporate his method into my TnT Lite post, there's some good stuff in there.
Hi Guys,
My friend bricked his phone some how (he's using the htc one s on tmobile) and I myself am using the evo lte, thought i could be of some assistance, but I'm stuck as well...wonder if you guys could help me help him lol.
so I performed the tasks on post #8 from on how to "fix soft-brick" in the sticky, but being able to only access bootloader, and twrp recovery Im at a stall. While in recovery, i go the the options to mount, it won't mount my usb so that i can bring over a rom to flash in recovery. So my problem is that the phone won't mount to my computer so i can bring over a rom i downloaded on my computer to the phone.
if i reboot system it sticks at the htc develop splash page.
Im pretty stuck and hope u guys can me help my boy.
P.S. i told him next time when you flash, always make a backup....cuz he was trying to flash a jelly bean wip (i don't even think it was a rom for his phone).
Thanks in advance guys!
bump, anyone kind to help me out with this?
Thanks again, hope to help him out, but Im at my wits end because i keep on getting running into the same problem.

You're going to either need to push a rom to his phone using ADB, or perhaps flash an RUU using Fastboot. Are you familiar with either process? There may be other options, but I'm familiar with both of these scenarios and can at least point you in a direction. Lemme know!
Yeah ADB push is your best option right now. IIRC USB mount in recovery does not work due to kernel limitation. (I could be wrong but remember reading about it)

I agree with him, I kinda had the same problem your friend had and adb pushing a Rom is probably your best option right now...

I very much appreciate the input fellas, will keep you updated with the status of this so that others in this situation can benefit from this as well.

Ok guys, heres the update as promised. Mission to restore was success!
First, I tried to push thru adb, but it would never stick, would always get hung up. Given, being my first time pushing thru adb i probably did it incorrectly. In fact, I managed to push the rom over to the sd card once, but was unable to flash it from recovery (CWM).
Here is how i fixed the problem of being bricked. I relocked the bootloader, using the "all in one kit" and then i downloaded the TMOUS RUU, booted the phone into bootloader and then ran the ruu's exe. Within 10 minutes it was back to bone stock.
I hope this helps fix others with the same problems, if you guys need any help, feel free to hit me up.
Thanks guys for the suggestions and pointing me in the right direction...I couldn't have done it without your help!

Have tried every program that I had found on these forums and it keeps giving me an error. If anyone would have any advice or instructions it'd be greatly appreciated. I'm confused as to if the SL101 runs the same software as the TF's but I really havent seen much on it.

I'm using SL101 and "1-Click Transformer Root"-Root/Unroot/cwm/stock rec-TF101(G)/201/300T(G)/SL101" is really working for me. Enjoy your new rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1689193
I know you said you have tried EVERY tool here, but your post really does not help much.
If you get an error in a specific tool, we will need to know what tool and what error you were getting.
AFAIK, you need to use a tool that uses ADB to root, not one that uses APX mode. I know EasyFlasher does not work on the SL101, but the previous post has a 1 click tool that has worked, and also PERI by Thing O Doom has been tested and works on the SL101.
Make sure you have the Naked Driver for ADB installed on your tablet. Using any other may be causing your issue.
Hi, guys and gals!
I'm new to the forums, I had a question to ask and I apologize now if this might be too broad or maybe just a stupid question(s).
So, I have a ASUS transformer infinity, the Tf700t tablet which is on the 10.6.1.14.4-20130329
And i've been looking around to figure how why the hell this thing is so slow!, And over researching everyone seems to ultimately point to downloading custom roms like updating the tablet with these i guess jailbreaking methods.
A couple months ago I managed to unlock my device (when I load up the tablet, when it says ASUS on the top left if says this device is unlocked).
Now my question is, I found this CROMI-X, forum on this website that tells you how upgrade the device, and it keeps telling me to root my device, which I can't seem to find anywhere the most recent on for the build that i am on (10.6.1.14.4), also I've downloaded TWRP and i was suppost to make a recovery img or something a ".blob" and it was asking me to write down the exact name of my tablet and I can't seem to find where that is, and i guess you can say I got cold feet to accept since it said that my device can get bricked, SO my question would be, is there any kind of guide out there with the latest updates i'm assuming kitkat? for noobies like me or maybe a video tutorial on how to do all this.
Cause i literally only have my device unlocked, I don't think i've actually rooted my device.
But yea that's about it, sorry if im asking for too much i thought this would be my only hope on making this tablet worth my while, cause this thing wont stop lagging (i've tried cold booting and restoring this thing like 10 times nothing seems to be doing the trick).
Thanks again

The Solution
So here is what we did
@duperdavid has his tablet unlocked already....:good:
All I did was help him install fastboot, adb, and Windows drivers which can be tricky.....
We than installed TWRP with fastboot
Code:
fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash recovery twrp.blob
Than we got him a ROM and a GAPPS
Made a backup with twrp.... Than did a full wipe of internal...
Than he did not have a sd card so we pushed the rom and gapps onto the tablet while it was booted into twrp
Code:
adb push nameoffile.zip /sdcard
Than we flashed new rom & gapps
booted into Rom !!!!! Win
We backed up his Nvflash blobs also
