Then you can root your phone

I think you can not root xperias without unlocking the bootloader
anyways i think there should be more experienced members here to answer
Thanks

Thank u for ur information...
can u also answer me to above question i asked that is where do i get ROMS for my xperia U and how to install and what happens if incompaitable roms installed onto phones..?

There's a whole forum for the Xperia, with many sub fora. Look there for plenty of information. If you ask a question there, you'll be talking to people who have Xperias.

Use the search next time.
It has been reported that the UnlockRoot tool works fine for Xperia E. Use that.

Yeah, I actually DID use search!
The post about unlocking with UnlockRoot says:
Compatible with:
√ Xperia J (ST26i) with 11.0.A.3.28*, 11.0.A.7.5* and 11.2.A.0.21** firmware
√ Xperia Tipo(Dual) (ST21i, ST21i2) with 11.0.A.1.8, 11.0.A.4.22, 11.0.A.6.5 and 11.0.A.6.8 firmware
√ Xperia Miro (ST23i) with 11.0.A.5.5 firmware
√ Xperia E(Dual) (C1505/6) with 11.1.A.0.68* firmware
* ICS firmware
** JB firmware
NB: Xperia J and E single sim JB cannot root with UnlockRoot.

Pardon me if I've mistaken what the above sentence means!
It's also bloomin difficult to search for a device called "Xperia E" when any threads that contain the phrase "Xperia E Dual" also return :/
Oh, also, I have actually tried UnlockRoot and it does NOT work.
Thanks

Strange. Well, euhh, try Bin4ry tool, might work for you.
I know it works on some new JB Xperia devices such as Xperia Z, so therefore it might work for your Xperia E.
My apologies about the previous post, it was my understanding that it worked for Xperia E single, as I've read some posts somewhere that it did.
If you're willing to unlock the boot loader you can always flash a boot image with recovery (e.g. FXP213) and install the flashable Superuser zip.

guys i badly need sum help....i unlocked the bootloader of my xperia e but now it is stuck in bootloop....i dont know what to do...pls help me :'( :'(
Try this to root E. shouji.360.cn/root/ its just like unlockroot, just one click.
Sony Xperia Tipo ST21i
tryin to help.. solved xperia e bootloop
Ah finally after the million times xda has helped me time to give something back....
first i bought my shiny new xperia e a week back..
used the official sony bootlocker unlock method (which ran smoothly) only to
find myself in a bootloop!
after a lot of exhaustive research i finally fixed it ...
first download sony`s superb "Update Service" its totally free a google search and ul get it.
next get the latest flashtool( androxyde.github(dot)io)
now ur going to need a locked bootloader for xperia e... incredibly luckily i was able to find this ( forum.xda-developers(dot)com/showthread.php?t=2212259 ) which is exactly what u need but for xperia e dual (which is not a problem at all.. its stable and works perfectly on single sim also)
now that u have alll this...
install flashtool.. put the ftf file u got in the flashtool/firmwares folder..
start ftool click the thunder icon.. flash mode.. select the ftf file .. click ok.. then unplug ur phone and boot into flash mode ( vol down key + usb cable insert)
now if all went wel lur phone has a locked xperia e dual sim bootloader..
now all u have to do is install update centre and update ur phone..
Peace.
Greetings,
I'm trying to unlock and root my friend's Xperia E so we can delete all the unwanted apps (e.g. Facebook), but I'm afraid that both of us have little experience rooting any phone. I did read bg.shishir's explanation above this post, but it simply confused me. Could someone please give me a clear walk-through on how to root the phone or how to delete the apps? I'm very much willing to learn, but there are a lot of terms/steps I don't understand, because the implicit steps are expected to be understood, which is I'm afraid not the case for me. I posted my issue here since it seemed to be the most relevant thread.
Sincerely yours,
ItsForAFriend

Please post a link?
if anyone is still looking for a easy root solution, check out SRSRoot (not allowed to post links yet)
it worked perfect on my xperia E (c1505) with LOCKED bootloader from Vodafone (Portugal)
just download it, install (make sure you also have adb drivers installed) and select "Root Device (All Methods)"
after that, a menu will pop up on the cellphone itself asking you to select which exploit (they got lord of the ring names lol) Gandalf worked for me.

[Q] Sony J root noob question

Hi.
I'm kinda noob in this root thing. I have a Sony J with 11.2.A.0.31 and i want to install CM10 (freexperia project).
Do root and unlock bootloader the same thing? do i need to do both? or just need to follow the sony website instructions http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/instructions?
After that? do i just have to folow these steps http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1997251?
And another question if i ever want to go back and put the phone just like i bought it, can i do it?
Thanks.

First root your phone then unlock bootloader by that solution.
But unlock bootloader will lose DRM keys permanent, Bravia Engine (not sure Xperia™ J have or not)
I recommend you to backup the DRM keys first (search how to backup the keys)
And after that just follow the instruction to install CM10.
Last you can back your phone to normal but you will lose DRM keys.(you can restore if you have backup)
Sent from my Sony Xperia™ sola using XDA Premium
Thanks Ben
So i rooted my device with this method, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2327472, this also instaled SuperSU.
Now following the instructions on sony website to unlock bootloader it says
First, you should confirm that it is possible to unlock the boot loader of your device by checking the service menu. In your device, open the dialler and enter *#*#7378423#*#* to access the service menu. If you have a tablet, click here to learn how access the service menu.
In your device, tap Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status. If Bootloader unlock allowed says Yes, then you can continue with the next step. If it says No, or if the status is missing, your device cannot be unlocked.

Unlock bootloader: no. There is no workaround / tespoint method yet. You can only root and use roms for locked bootloader. Cm10 needs unlocked bootloader.

Thanks, I think I'll stick with stock then. I just want cm10.

Hi mate!
Have you tried to root via this http://www.unlockroot.com/ ?
You can download free version and don't use flashtool via rooting.
If you try this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2033114
or something similar to that way, remember about shutting down adb.exe process with ctrl+ald+del and in processes find adb.exe
Give me feedback if it worked
Edit: And remeber about one of most important things: enable unknown sources and usb debugging

You should use UnlockRoot i'm using this because it's fastest way in my opinion. Rooting takes max 5 minutes. As for the "Bootloader unlock allowed: No" i have the same problem mate but you can root using UnlockRoot anyway While rooting shut down your anti virus

Bootloader lock = NO means you can't root it properly. Root will not work for this.
Thank for reply
But I found a lot of threats speaking about that even if it is unlocked bootloader it could be rooted but I was lost between the ways and couldn't know the safe way to root
