Hi,
I was thinking in creating a new hosting for ROMs, where the developers could upload their roms and share in XDA.
If someone would help me doing this job, I will thanks.
First of all I need to choose an domain name... Ideas?
Thanks.
I think you shoul'd use torrents.

But with torrents is hard to download for people who dont understand too much... Direct download is easy and fast, I will make direct links with instant download and all divided by cathegories.
Really need help finding a good name for the webpage... Hope someone could help me, I pay the domain and the hosting, no problem with that.

I can help in php/mysql, where are you from ?
You can categorize them right here.Just make links to your torrents right here. If someone knows how to install a rom,he knows ho to use a torrent too.

For Recognized Developers and those I think should have a developer status, if you PM me, I can set you up with a subdomain on AcidHazardROM.
Unlimited Bandwidth and Storage.
Yes. You can use it to host your own site if you'd like.

Can anyone re-upload the files to another mirror ? I am unable to download any files on mediafire using my handset.
Edit: Got it but will require root to use them.

I wonder why some people are facing problems with the links. It is happening everywhere on XDA
Talking about Mediafire.. Yes it has been highly monitored nowadays and all illegal uploads are removed ASAP.
I suggest people to rather use XDA attachment or some other file hostings...

Its something to do with recent changes mediafire made to its website.
I think all the files should be available for download when accessed through a PC & only mobile users are facing these problems though I am not sure.
Can anyone confirm if its accessible via a PC ?
hey , link is not working . i tried downloading using dolphin browser

On some internet providers most hosting sites has been blocked, also they were showing in news that all hosting, torrents sites cause piracy will be banned.
From my end its not accesible on pc too i have to use proxy sites.
On my mobile its working but on my broadband line cant access.

I have tried porting the S2 liquid smooth ROM to our phone and need someone to test it.
Anyone want to volunteer??
The ROM is uploading and will pm the link to anyone who wishes to test.
This is the first ROM I have ported so maybe there will be some problems but I will try my best to fix it so please don't get high on me.
No one willing??
You can give me it to test.

EDIT:-Okay so the uploading of the file is encountering some problems. So i have decided to test the Rom myself and make a release tomorrow.
Can you suggest me a good hosting site??

Mediafire.com is really great. It's free, has no waiting before a download starts, it's quite fast and it has folders, plenty of space and allows file to be private.(Invisible for others) You only need to share a link to a mediafire folder and you can upload all versions of you ROM onto it. Only Problem is a 200MB filesize limitation in the free version. But who cares, every good file compression tool supports splitting.

Thanks for sharing!
Useful stuff here, but this isn't the only available option either. google brought up a few more as well.
There are a few good AIO options too, remote cam/mouse/keyboard/remote/VNC etc.
