Will there ever be an official build of Miui for lg too?
Sent from my LG-P506 using xda premium
I think no because our phone is an low device with armv6.
They only support high end phones.
Hope I clarified you in some way
Sent from my LG-P690 using Tapatalk 2
Well I think that us just stupid because many have attempted to port it and have had quite a success why not just make an official version.
Sent from my LG-P506 using xda premium
i dont know why but this will be their decision to support our ports of miui so we just need to use our ports until they decide to support us
Is their a petition? Maybe we should start a post where people could vice their demand for official MIUI support then send it to MIUI

Sounds good but unlikely unless someone steps up to try and port a ota rom. The real Jboxer and (forgive me) Lotherius both tried to do an exact port but it was very complicated with baseband and partition tables. If someone wanted to try that'd be awesome, maybe practice for when the O2X gets 4.0????!!!!
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
How'd it get complicated? Back in my Sammy Vibrant days, most people could do it pretty easily. Devs of course.

Yes it is, users on thrill forums know about it. LG will be releasing ICS but not local LG in Canada.

One thing Ive learnt so far from LG.
1- Stay away from every single portable device carrying LG logo on it.
It will not surprise me if they anounce that O3D is also out of the ICS update list, but guess what? I just don't care, my last ROM v2.8 works good enought for my needs.

I'm with Thiaz although I don't actually use his roms/kernals. I use Promethius, but the answer is the same. I can't imagine ICS on my Thrill doing/having anything that i'd be interested in. In fact I'm sure it will bring more problems than it's worth.

Nope, Toshiba locked the bootloader but there maybe a ROM for CM10 coming soon to the Thrive.
Hopefully with its price dropping, we can get more interest

Hey guys, I am new to THRiVE development, but not new to development in general. I have a CM10 build that boots.
WiFi and External storage are not working at the moment, but overall it is functional. I'll let you know when I have more. Also, head over to thriveforums.org for more information.

Developer driven site, not many have thrive. Toshiba Thrive Forum is place to be for now. Excellent work done over there. Easy to use and very helpful.

From my understanding after reading a few post, there's now access to the drivers for ics which means stable custom roms don't take my word for it that's wat I think. Lol

Yeah. But, the question is... is it real?
Or maybe it's another troll attempt by LG? It's probably like Froyo or something. :crying:

Until cm10 releases, the stock lg ics will be able to get me around fine! That is after it is ported :good: :fingers-crossed:

Here is the official KDZ file, but don't flash it to or g2x.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1860749
Actually some Guy on the o2x forums flashed it and it didn't boot ( of course) but he said that there is a new LG logo though so at least this is a real ics leak

That's correct as I said o2x forums, and it has been confirmed by someone else. They knew that it was for the su 660 they only wanted to see if it would boot and the got a new logo but lost CWM so they nvflashed and restored a nand backup. I guess they wanted to see if it was legit and are now patiently waiting on the devs

Check out Tonyp's statement on the "leak" thread. This is some incredible news for us G2X owners who were abandoned by good ole Lg. IMO this phone is the one to have right now because once they unleash the hardware on this mofo, it's game on!! LOL I'm super stoked right now if ya can't tell

Some excitement on this front. But I'm with that dude who has the signature LG NEVER AGAIN.
Still, I'm hoping for something, til then I still got CM7 to kick around.
This is for SU990,korean optimus 2x. it seems to be an internal testing build. due to the extensive structural changes vs gingerbread without kernel source the leak basically means jack squat for P990/P999 (also is pretty useless for CM10 for SU990 on that note)
Linux kernel development isn't my strong suit so I'm sure something will come from this leak though. I have faith in our devs.

If you wait another couple hours (or maybe a day or 2) the awesome developers around here will hopefully port and compile a CM10 release for us which, if it's as good as it sounds on the P990, we will be really happy.
I'm running paranoid android it runs really smooth, you should give that a try and see what u think if u don't like it just get CM7. On my phone so can't get link look for it in forums or Google paranoid android ICS shouldn't be hard to find.
