thanks
thank you.
Is it possible to get Awesome Beats audio in JB? The default samsung sound is not that good like Beats audio.
Thank you mate, transparent Accuweather widget is a must have. It works (after a reboot) but it is still 5x3. Insn't it possible to have it 5x2?
One more thing. Is it possible to have also a transparent digital clock 5x1?
how did u compile clockpackage, i'm getting error while building...all others seems to work..
I tried pushing old 5x2 ICS AccuweatherWidget in system/app and they worked. But they still appear as 5x3.
This means that it is not that apk which is involved in this. Maybe is it some other APK?
- AccuWeatherDaemonService
- AccuweatherWidget_MAin
- SamsungWidget_WeatherClock
By the way, the third one in the list is missing in system/app...
Hmm is the calendar working? Except it all others are transparent. But the month calendar widget doesnt want to get transparent.
Btw add the photos on the rars, so we know how they look if we forget.
Nice work.
Ohh forgot could you make the weather widget with the weather animation and transparent? Because i like how the weather is changing, now it is to empty.
Thanks

The accuweather widget layout is designed to fit XY axes... so will always expand to fit width, and thereby it also assumes the corresponding height respective to the width
I will look into changing it, if it's possible.... but I am about to travel on business, so time is scarce

@kashortiexda: I've set both framework-res.apk and twframework-res.apk in the system but still unable to build musicplayer and clockpackage. What else did you install from framework?

I think you are right. The issue is that the 'native' widget is imported from Note2 which has 4x4 TW. The related accuweather widget in note2 is 4x2 and when deploying on 5 columns it also takes 3 rows for ratio reasons as you told.
Hope you can find the time to re-deploy it on 5 by 2. Thanks

I'm starting this thread so that everyone can showoff their creativity in making Awesome Homescreens.
I myself put a lot of effort in customizing my Homescreens.
While posting your homescreens, please be specific on what you used to achieve it (eg. Name of widget or wallpaper).
So ill start with 2 homescreens which even got FEATURED on lifehacker.com
1. The Evil Android Homescreen.
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",

}
Lifehacker link.
I customized my homescreen to make it look simple, neat and smart, and it goes well with the Gingerbread green color.
I'm using the stock Gingerbread OS on my Samsung Galaxy SL with GO Launcher Ex as the launcher.
I am not using many widgets on my screen as I really like the wallpaper.
The Evil Android under the torn layer.
I've mainly kept all the Internet apps on the center screen. I use Minimalistic Text for the date.
You can tap the date to open any calendar app.
I've not kept any clock widget as the time is always there in the notification bar.
The black circle in the center is the Circle Launcher for more Internet apps which I don't use often but should be accessible quickly if I do need them. I also use Switch Pro for the Data connection and Bluetooth widget.
On the left screen, I again use Minimalistic Text for the battery. You can tap the widget to open the Battery Usage screen. I've kept this screen for things I don't do many times in a day (eg. Keep an alarm, Calculate things, or update or download a new app) but at the same time they shouldn't be far when I need them.
The right screen screen is for other utilities which I use regularly. I use Phantom Music Control for the music widget, which controls PowerAmp.
Though PowerAmp has its own widgets, I couldn't make those fit properly in the area I wanted and also there are no skins available for those widgets. So I'm using the Phantom Music Control widget as it gives options for customization including skins.
The icons are not included with any GO Launcher theme. I found some of them on the internet and others I've photoshopped. I made the wallpaper merging the Evil Android wallpaper which I found on Lifehacker and another from DeviantArt.
Click to collapse
The second Homescreen.
2. The Aged Paper Homescreen.
Lifehacker link.
What I've done here is that I used this wallpaper, and cropped it in multiples of my screen resolution (480x800). That is, since I'm using three screens I cropped it in the resolution 1440x800.
I'm using GO Launcher EX launcher which uses a grid based home screen layout, so I created a grid in Photoshop to map the text icons. Those text icons are not actually icons.
I used the text tool in Photoshop to create them using various handwriting fonts which I found on the internet. Those texts are on the wallpaper itself.
The reason behind this was it gave me freedom to orient the text in any way i wanted and could use more space on the home screen. If I had made an icon file of the text and then had replaced it on the screen then that would had confined the text in the grid box which sometimes results in cropping of the icon depending on available space.
I used MultiPicture Live Wallpaper to set each screen's wallpaper. This allowed me to use the whole image as the wallpaper. After setting each screen's wallpaper I used a "blank" icon to replace each home screen icon.
When it comes to widgets: On the home screen and the left screen I've used Minimalistic Text with one of the fonts. The Data connection and Bluetooth toggle is Switch Prowidgets. Lastly, PowerAmp is on the Right screen.

Original Razr M homescreen launcher works well on any ICS/JB devices that have qHD or HD screen... but its layout is messed up on HDPI devices.
I searched for resized version but I couldn't find it. So I resized...
Below zip file include motorola's circle clock widget and weather app too. but what I resized is homescreen launcher only because other things are working well without any resizing.

Thanks for the work!
Circle Clock widget is pretty buggy, the entire 4x2 bit of homescreen with turn into a bunch of black and blue lines. I have already disabled HW Overlays, which is the general cause of this, but it hasn't fixed it.
I installed it as a normal APK. Would moving it to system/app help?
Phone: HTC Inspire 4g (same as HTC DHD), running Jellytime R16.
EDIT: Another bug. When you add a widget using the drawer, it'll just open up the default menu for adding widgets. You then have to select the correct widget. I think it's because to add widgets from drawer, the launcher needs superuser permissions.
Actually it can't put widgets without being system app.

Very nice man! The launcher works perfect on my Atrix 4G on CM10, though the only bug that kills it entirely is that for me the Circles widget causes the whole launcher to crash, which is kind of a letdown, but the base launcher works perfectly fine. If maybe someone could perfect the Circles widget to keep it from FC'ing on the Atrix 4G that would be perfect!

Awesome I'm loving the circle widget. But its its all weird on my phone like someone else said getting lines on my screen even in other apps. And it wasn't doing that before I installed the launcher.
Is there any way to make the widget work on 3rd party launchers.

Ok, so i've started this thread for all the people who want to use samsung JB roms but at 240dpi. Personally i hate 320dpi and i feel 240dpi is
the best for the note's display.
So, here are the list of apps that need modification to work properly in 240dpi.
1) Contacts: dialer, speed dial, ets:------------------Done
2) SMS app: it works but the top row text is too big. Done
3) TW Launcher: --------------------------------------------Done
4) TW Calculator:--------------------------------------------Done
4) Email App: -----------------------------------------------Done
5) Video player: ----------------------------------------------Done
6) Camera app: ----------------------------------------------For now only one view looks good, settings, front cam and 4:3 picture format is still messed up...
7) FM Radio: -------------------------------------------------Not yet completed, still few alignment problems
8) Voice recorder: ------------------------------------------Done
9) Splanner Widgets:--------------------------------------Done
10) S-voice --------------------------------------Done
11) Accuweather transparent with full screen weather:-----------Done
12) Splanner: calendar notifications are fixed -----------------------Done (couldn't take screenshot)
We can have this thread to add all the resource so that it will be easier to use.
NOTE: All apk's are remove from XDA since max of 20 attachment restriction, need to use them for screenshots.
Please download from (here) Thanks to jaiiscool for providing the link, its so much easier to manage updates...

I tried the SecContacts.apk and pushed it to system/app and fixed permissions.
But it looks exactly the same as the original one.
Is there something else I need to do to force it into 240 dpi?
Do I need to modify the build.prop or something?
I've only ever used Paranoid to change dpi so I have no clue what I'm doing.
Thankyou sir. Needed this. Great work

It really makes me wonder why Samsung didn't make it transparent in the first place. The stock one looks kind of weird when using a non blue wallpaper.

Yeah i hear ya. I never use it unless I am using one of the Default Walls. Anyway, ill do a 50% Trans and that may do it for transparency. I think thats all we need. ill also post a Restore if anyone dislikes it. Then i gotta think if custom backround will looks decent!!
Would this help as a 5x5 launcher? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2272582

I can't get the weather widget to look right on the 5x5 launcher, how'd you do that?
Part of my clock gets cut off in the weather widget
Like so..
That's cause the clock is made for the 4x4 grid. So the widget has to be Modded to work with that particular Modded launcher. I don't use it, so didn't see a need to make one for it. But I'll PM Scrosler and see what he thinks.

Wow you modded every Inc of the TW with your layers nice work mate!
It's not a bug report, only information.. in S6 launcher (port to S4), I got FC... I return to S4 launcher and works fine
EDIT: in home, the name app with 2 lines, the 2nd line shows cut.. see pic.. in drawer using 5x5 grid, it shows normal... using 6x6, it shows the second line cut too.. see home screenshot

Thanks @AL_IRAQI works great for me :good:
My procedure:
1. Create "overlay" folder in system/vendor
2. Set permission to overlay folder: rwxr-xr-x
3. Copy theme/mod to system/vendor/overlay
4. Set permission to apk: rw-r--r--
5. Reboot device
@AL_IRAQI;
An another amazing work by you..
I really wonder where the magic of these layers will reach to.. And i really wonder what will it able to do afterwards.. The layers thought is a really brilliant thought. I think in near future these layers work could be a candidate that could take the place of the Xposed Installer and meet the deficit of the modules that are used in it..
Thank you very much for these amazing works and keep up them buddy.. Because they are very useful and i think they will be more in use later on..
Amaaaaaazing mods +1 Added sure .. Tx
You could have 5x4 in home please?
Thanks in advance.
Dock Height
Can you reduce the height of the dock and make mod pls

Hi! Thanks for your work.. I have a little problem with some widgets.
My configuration is "Home 5x5 , App Drawer 6x5 with 6 dock icons" but some widgets, like AlarmWidget, don't have 5x1 dimensions.. How can I do? I have an apk for AlarmWidget 5x1 from KK and I think it works fine with Lollipop, but I don't know where is, in Lollipop to substitute it.
can you help me?
Thanks..
EDIT: using the layers as I told, some widget doesn't work. AlarmWidget, wheather widget, clock widget...I deleted all layers...
Why?
hi guys is there a overlay for Settings also? i used the layers available they theme the notification toggles nicely, but i wish i could change the white in settings too.
