[Q] Samsung Infuse with Jellybean CNA ROM - Samsung Infuse 4G

I have a Rogers Samsung Infuse rooted with the CNA Jellybean ROM. I really liked the look and style of the screen and this is why I chose it. Here's the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1830275 And right off the get go, I had a few issues with this ROM such as missing certificates so I was unable to connect to my google account, there was no Google Play app, and many other little things. so I decided to try out Cypher ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1859208 But before I started I noticed in the instructions it was saying at the end to flash Gapps (google apps) so I flashed only the Gapps into the CNA (without Cypher) and I had almost everything working. I'm in love now but I do have one issue and its that the WIFI keeps turning off for no reason. and this results in my phone using 4g instead without warning. Any advice?

No apps via wifi?

Hi everyone,
I have the GS3 and I am currently running the newest Galaxy Mod ROM by Pure. As soon as I ran the v6 supercharger script, for some reason. I can no longer download market apps via WiFi. They work fine over 4g and I can download everything else via WiFi but specifically market apps say "downloading" but never make any progress. Now for the strangest part, I have even wiped data/cache, flashed 2 different ROMs, etc but still have the same issue. I'm a ROM flashing addict and this is my 4th rooted phone so I'm not new to this but I've never seen this issue before. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Which gapps for CM7?

Note 2 user here, but not long ago, I found an Inspire 4g smashed at the local boat launch ramp, stuck my SIM card in and miraculously still works. It is also already rooted but running a stock 2.3.3. I proceeded to back that up using CWM and then successfully flashed the latest supported CM, which was 7.x.
The only thing I am struggling with now is which version of google apps (gapps), to flash into CM 7? And where to get it.

Here: http://goo.im/gapps. Just choose the right one (self explanatory). And the latest is 7.2 which is Gingerbread 2.3.7
Thanks for that, I got it.
I was trying to search with the string: "gapps for htc desire 4g" and I got all kinds of stuff, including the goo.im download site that presented a list that was only good through 2.2.2. That search string was so direct, I didn't consider that any other variation on it would be any better.

Gapps aren't usually phone specific, they're Android version specific.

Never look by phone device. Always look by android version. In the case of CM, you can always search by CM version (i.e. CM7.2, CM 10, CM10.1, etc). This is because CM is a very popular choice for a custom rom (if for nothing more than to give it a try).

Jawbone UP not recognized with 4.2.2 ROMS

Hey All,
I purchased a jawbone UP this weekend and was running Slim Rom on my HD. The way the UP works is it syncs its data through the 3.5mm headphone jack. The first one I bought wouldn't get recognized at all on any 4.2.2 ROM and when I revert back to a 4.1.2 based ROM it would recognized and unlock and everything, just woudlnt sync. I ended up with a defect DOA device and had to get a new one.
the new one however now works fine on the 4.1.2 ROM. i havent tried to switch back to 4.2.2 yet but i have a hunch that it won't work.
I wanted to know if anyone else has one of these and if they are using a 4.2.2 ROM and have it working. if so what ROM and Kernel combo are you using? I didnt wanna go nuts flashing random crap just to see if it works but i'll get a feeler here and see
thanks,
It's a known issue with 4.2.2 ROM. I had the issue with my Bionic too. I ended up returning it.
I can vouch that it works on the carbon night lies.
But it works with stock
I had the same issue with my Buttered AOKP ROM. Since I used SS3, I switched to my stock ROM and everything works fine. So, I just switch ROMs (a matter of a couple of reboots) whenever I want to sync data. I know it sucks... But till Jawbone supports custom ROMs, this seems the only way to use the UP app.
I have installed UP on both ROMS (my stock ROM (4.0.3) for syncing and on my 4.2.2 ROM for my other data-wrangling stuff).
GPE kit-kat
I have the galaxy s4... i was running gummy rom 4.4.2 and had this problem. I didn't want to go stock cuz i would lose tethering ability unless I modded this separately, so i tried the Google play edition and this works for me. have been using since with no problems.

[Q] No mobile network reception on i337 after flashing AOSP ROM

Hi,
I have a new Samsung Galaxy S4 from ATT (i337) and am trying to install an AOSP rom on it. I tried couple of roms but all of them lead to disappearance of the network reception (basically empty triangle where the reception bars should be).
For example, I tried couple of i9505 roms like this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2348272
And even though everything works perfect, I still get no reception/empty triangle. I tried flashing ATT specific kernel, from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292341
but that just causes the rom to freeze on boot. So, figuring that it may be a setting issue because I am installing i9505 rom on i337 device, I got Slim Rom for i337:
http://www.slimroms.net/index.php/downloads/dlsearch/viewcategory/583-jflteatt
However, again, even though it boots and everything is working, I get no reception/empty triangle.
Finally, I tried changing the APN setting as per these instructions:
http://galaxys4root.com/galaxy-s4-t...t-i9505t-mobile-custom-roms-on-att-galaxy-s4/
But again to no avail.
I really dislike the samsung rom with all the touchwiz and would love to run the google edition rom, but I can't find any info on how to set the network up. What do I do?
Thanks.

[Help] HTTP response 401. Not able to register a Google account

Hey guys,
Got this wonderful phone for cheap and did all this:
1) Rooted
2) Installed recovery
3) Made a backup of AT&T ICS rom that it came with
4) Flashed Stock rooted Rogers JB

After a couple of days i DELETED my ICS backup.
Now when i turn on mobile data, i cant open any pages. All I get is "HTTP response 401", both on stock browser as well as google chrome. Things work fine over wifi though (which is what i was using for 2 days)
Anyone have any ideas as to whats the problem?

Try the AT&T radio just be safe. also try going from stock to the ROM again. I don't know what recovery you used but the recommended one for skyrocket is Philz CWM. Otherwise expect problems and hiccups.
If the ROM is unofficial or or a beta than expect problems. If you did everything right and you have issues post a logcat in the correct forum so the DEV can check out the issue you're having.
