Well today the Xbox smartglass app came out. I'm on my Droid x2. the app is compatible with certain devices over android 4.0. Like the Droid razr and Samsung galaxy s3. Could I just change my build.prop to make the app work. And if so what lines will I have to change.

Dude did you try it? Does it work?
.
I'd definitely like to get that app too
If it is for Android 4.0+, then it is a COMPATIBILITY issue and would not work.
Now, build.prop editing would work if you know the app will work, it just says it wont

This may seem stupid... but I would really like to get rid of AT&T tab in the app market and have the plain "my apps" tab....... is it possible? Is there a market apk I can download to change it?
Thanks guys

Thanks but I would like the original plain Google one... not a themed one...

the themed vending apks don't necessarily unbranded market. Though you can try sideloading the vending apk from gapps. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.
edit: there is also an app, I can't remember the name off hand, but essentially it unbrands market but it you will have to sign into market every time you reboot the phone.
you can find the app here http://amip.tools-for.net/wiki/android/marketaccess
I noticed it is older than the one i had on sprint
Install MarketAccess (link provided in someone loses post just above). Have it emulate T-Mobile provider, first one in the list, and check emulate on boot. It does not require you to sign on with every reboot. I've been using it for about 10 months.

Is it that hard to take few minutes to Google it and research it?
its easier to make a post and wait for a response than to go through all kinds of post with netflix in it. Besides that why complain? when most of u only post to get post count up. Its real simple if u dont want to answer a question then dont.

You got slapped with a "Lrn2SearchNoob" and the community slapped back in your stead and answered your question. To say thanks you reply _THIS_ way?!
If you want the official app, keep checking http://www.netflix.com/NetflixReadyDevices?cid=Mobile+Devices . It's what I do until a ) I'm rooted or b ) I'm informed that the hacked version will work with AT&T official sideloading.

The android app store is device specific, because not all apps work on all devices. So if you are on an inspire 4g, no, netflix does not show up in the app store. If you are on an approved device, it will show up.
I actually have the same question as him but even after all the replies it still wasnt answered, as according to Engadget it should show up for everyone in the market now, even if it doesn't work yet for all phones.
engadget.com/2011/05/26/netflix-updates-android-app-expands-device-support/
Trying to be helpful here. Yes, it is in the Market. However, the Desire HD/ Inspire 4G is not yet officially supported. If you go to market.android.com on your PC you will see it but when you try to install it on one of our devices it will have that option grayed out. When you upload an apk to the market you can set limitations such as device, OS version, carrier, etc. Hopefully it will officially come to our phones soon.
Rant mode: What the heck are you doing in XDA if you don't want a hacked solution?

I've been searching for that, man, and haven't been able to find it.
Wonder if someone who has a xoom still on 3.2 could pull it? This is stupid that they changed it and give us no means to download apps we purchased on the side.
Sent from my ADR6400L using xda premium
Send the dev of any app that isn't showing on the xoom a msg and tell the that the copy protection is causing an issue. XoS Digital found the issue as well. Google made changes in hlk75c and hlk75d along with the new market that is causing the problem.

Have you tried the status bar ones on GravityBox? If you're not rooted you could install power controls and at least have a nice shortcut to tethering.

Hmm. My roommates droid razr maxx is configured that way with power controls but it just takes you to the hotspot page not an actual toggle. Still a shortcut tho.

Oh, well my phone is a Droid Maxx, not of the razr variety.
Power controls will work. Just add a toggle and choose mobile hotspot. Will just be a shortcut. But always accessible in notifications.

No Off-Toggle
Does anyone know why the Hotspot toggle apps will toggle on the hotspot but won't toggle it off? Is it impossible to do with a third party app on 4.4?
