Hello. Last night I finally unlocked Infinity. Now, odd things are happening. Gmail quit sending, they just stay stuck in out box, stock browser keeps disappearing, I have to restore with TB, and, Wifi indicator stays grey now instead of blue. Several other odd glitches, too. I did factory reset, I tried re installing nandroid, and cold boot. Doesn't work. Any ideas?
Oh. I forgot strangest thing. An OTA downloaded last night before reset, and this morning it downloaded again. Keeps prompting me to update. Its the newest JB firmware. Didn't think I was supposed to get anymore.

Probably the best bet now is try to do a factory reset(do it twice) and manually reflash the full stock firmware.

How would I re flash full stock firmware? I was trying to flash clean ROM last night, but kept failing. I don't have the newest firmware, just the original JB update. Using TWRP
I probably start by downloading from Asus, what steps after that? Think I was screwing up last night.

I tried to update my rooted note but it just keeps rebooting. It goes through the set-up with percentage at the bottom, gets to 100% and then reboots like it's going to start. However, instead of starting, it just instead tries to upgrade again. It keeps going through this cycle.
I started it and used Odin to flash initial .tar with root in it and it's doing the same thing.
Please help!!!

Well, my suggestion would be to load up Kies on your computer. Connect the tablet, and see if you can do a firmware repair seeing as how you seemingly already tried to ODIN in another rom. Maybe you can try to boot into CWM and wipe the cache, dalvik, and factory reset, but I'm not so sure that will do anything for you.
OK. Used the update/tar from this file. Got me up and running but then gave me a message that update failed to install. I did, however, lose root rights.

As risky as I am, I checked software update and found another update--this time smaller in size. Downloaded and installing...Wish me luck.
OK, That's appearing to work! Machine is rebooting and is again "optimizing applications."
yeah, the recent update came in 2 flavors. stock to LI3 which was 75 and LH2 to LI3 which was 40mb.
Glad to hear you got it up and running!
Hello there, I have a huge issue with my Motorola Xoom.
I ran the #156 TeamEOS 4.2 Nightly Rom for my European 3G Xoom when all of a sudden my tablet started acting really weird.
Apps were crashing, Google Play wasn't working, Browser as well, and so on.
I decided to do a hard reset, formatting cache, Dalvik Cache, Hard Reset...but nothing was cancelled. As soon as i rebooted my device, everything was back the way it was with the same issues. I noticed my tablet was costantly updating the same apps and even if I updated them the following reboot they were back re-updating themselves.
I have no idea what to do, I tried everything, including RSD Lite. Nothing.
Can somebody help me figuring out what to do and how to at least format my Xoom completely so that I can re-install my rom and then re-install the apps?
Thanks.
I would boot into recovery and do a full wipe the reflash the rom a gapps. you should be good to go.
No can do, sorry. What's weird is that even when I go to change the performance settings on the rom, to overclock it more or less, the changes are not recorded. I can set whatever I want but it doesn't change it. It's like the tablet is in a loop, always stuck doing the same things, charging the same rom, the same settings. I really don't know what to do, I don't want to throw it away but I don't know how to solve it.
Which xoom do you have? We can always flash the stock img with fastboot to restore it. It will be back to complete stock.
Can you get into recovery at all by powering off then press the power button wait till 3 sec's after the logo appears and press volume down. You will see android recovery at the top press vol up to select. If you can and you have a backup restore it. If you use an external sd card you can load a rom on to it and flash it in recovery.

this is the same exact problem i'm having. I cannot get my xoom to reset. It always goes back to where it was before.

Sounds like your data has gotten corrupted somehow. You can take the boot.img out of whatever Custom ROM ur using, and via terminal -
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot
I'm not using any custom roms. I'm using factory settings for almost everything.... also i don't know how to use terminal

I have the same problem.
The Xoom is a european with android 3.1 kernel version 2.6.36 and build H.6.3-25-9 <- this i dont understand but i think that is no correct.
I try flash the H.6.1-38-1_Retail_Europe version, all the process finish ok, but when i restart the tablet everything continues as before.
I not know what else to do, Heeeelp.
Every 30 seconds or so, right as the phone seems to be fully loaded, I get the powering down message and it reboots. Every time like clock work.
Tries booting into recovery but every time I select Recovery from Fastboot it just does a normal boot.
I am rooted and haven't installed the newest OTA yet.
Sounds like a hardware problem. I suggest to take it to a Verizon store.
My guess is that the OTA update got pushed to your phone and you inadvertently took it, which is causing a boot loop.
There's no recovery if you rooted; the phone just boots with read/write access.
Look at the HouseOfMoto thread for info on flashing back to stock (images for 12.15.15 are now available), then re-root.
I'm still on 12.7.7 so it shouldn't be the OTA
Yes it should/would. You don't have a recovery, therefore you CAN'T upgrade, which is the reason you are still on older firmware

The same thing happens to me, have you found a solution?
I tried to update my XYboard 10.1 yesterday that I bought used with an OTA update. I am guessing it was the 4.1 update because it was on ICS prior to the update. It failed during the update, and it loaded into the "dual core" screen, then went black with the backlight on and didn't boot.
I tried a one click method to reflash Honeycomb back to the device, but no matter what I do, it won't finish flashing. I tried redownloading the files, and no change. The first time it froze flashing "bootloader", I tried a few more times and it didn't work. So I downloaded a different set of fastboot files and tried to flash them, and now it's stuck flashing "radio". I have let it sit for a half hour and it won't flash past that.
I am not sure how messed up this tablet is but I am stuck, can anyone help me get ANY operating system on this thing so it is at least useable? it is not rooted, I can flash to it but everything I have tried fails. Tried factory reset and cleared cache through recovery and that didn't work, and now I can't even access recovery. Right now all I can access is fastboot flash mode.
I bought this for my girlfriend and I am giving it to her tomorrow and I can't get this freaking thing to work.
Okay, so just today I was looking through some articles and saw that Android 4.4.4 was able to be downloaded for the Moto G, I have a rooted Moto G, so I know that I can't install the OTA updates without reverting back to stock.
So it was early in the morning, I was still tired and not thinking strait; and I forgot that I couldn't install the OTA updates without reverting; So I made an idiotic mistake and used the settings update method to download the new version..... so now I am stuck in a boot loop because when ever I get to the Clockworkmod recovery, it says it can't complete it and it reboots my phone. Then the phone detects the phone didn't update and it goes into recovery. This just keeps happening over, and over, and over again,
See, the thing is, I would revert back to the stock, but I can't install the stock onto the internal SD because the phone reboots before I can actually get the stock zip onto the phone... so I'm stuck at this point, and I really don't know what to do... and I really don't think there is much I can do at this point.
Here Is My Phone Info:
Model: XT1031
Clockworkmod Recovery Version: v6.0.4.7
Can you turn off the phone with the power button and then boot in to recovery?
If that works try deleting the update zip from /cache directory with cwm.

I've already tried this, It hasn't worked the three times I've done it. I have got it to stop rebooting, and I've got it to the original recovery. The 4.4.4 update isn't showing up anymore though. My battery is always at 1% battery now too.... so now I have another problem.

Leave it plugged in for a few hours and then fastboot flash the stock firmware for your model number.
Unless someone else knows an easier way to get you going.
