DONATE for translate - Samsung Infuse 4G

Friends, we know that Infuse is not a phone that is sold worldwide. In Brazil, for example, he is not sold, only if imported by someone. For this reason, we do not have the option of the Portuguese language. But even the Spanish language, which already comes factory in Infuse, sometimes it is not found in many ROM's.
In turn, the MoreLocale not reflect the ROM's, so no no no options other languages.
How can we do to have the Portuguese language, or at least in the Spanish ROM's??
I do not understand English well, and to read and write here, use Google Translator. I would love to have MIUI on my phone, but with the English language, I'm completely lost.
OFFERING REWARD who provide the option of Portuguese to Infuse.
If necessary, i help in the translation of the text, however do not understand the programming.
Hugs.

I thought this might be helpful to you. It's a translation tutorial for miui. Unfortunately it's kind of a long process, but translating from English is probably much easier than translating from Chinese. Best of luck. www.miui-au.com/add-ons/trans-source/

Try JW8 SAUROM. It's a Gingerbread rom that was ported to the Infuse and has support for Portuguese language. Espanol and Portugues are both supported.
I know that you asked for MIUI, but this is the best that I can help with.

thanks for helping me friends!
Truckerglenn; I downloaded the JW8 Saurom. I'm enjoying it. However, whenever I restart the phone, he is again in English, so I have to put it to Portuguese again. Already downloaded the MoreLocale 2 and continues with this problem. Know how to help me?
I saw that this ROM is the modem RUXKG3. In my previous ROM was UCLB3 and I'm realizing that wireless signals were stronger. It would be problem if I switched to the UCLB3 by Infuse Toolkit?
Hugs, friend!

Flash whichever FBI modem you'd like.
I'll look into your issue.

2.8 isnt in the op yet...but its in the last or second to last page....just been to busy to update op, if you have trouble installing then install 2.7 first (in the op)
Also keep in mind that it is a jb rom...so if HD video recording is important to you....then you may want to stay away...

Hi, Truckerglenn!
Sorry for asking, but what is FBI modem?
Rebooted the phone again and again, he started in English.
You told me to format the phone again (wipe dalvik, cache and data / factory reset) and then reinstall the ROM?
Sorry to ask, but I use the google translator and I have to make sure before you do.

Sorry, meant GB modem. Darn spell checker changed it.
I wouldn't format, but yes, wipe everything, then reinstall.

Truckerglenn, I wipe all, reinstalled the ROM, when you restart the phone, chose the Portuguese language. Rebooted the phone and it keeps restarting in English ...
Do not have a way to edit a file system so that the option to start is Portuguese?

In the build.prop file try changing the 'en' and the 'US' in these two lines:
ro.product.locale.language=en <--- change the 'en' to BP or PT or POR
ro.product.locale.region=US <--- change the 'US' to BR
You may also want to change this line to whatever Time Zone you are in:
# Update TimeZone
persist.sys.timezone=America/New_York
I'm just guessing here. Hope this helps.

ro.product.locale.region=BR ------> This line was well above: ro.product.locale.region=GB
Now when I restart the phone, it crashes when loading files this .. even so, it seems, still in English, because it asks the password of SIM cards in English.

Sorry I got tied up.
Not sure what else to suggest.
A rom or app will only be in your language if it's written with support for that language.
So some of the apps will only show up in one language.

@luca: ma cosa cambia dal compositore vocale già incluso ad es. nella cyano?
--
@luca: what does it differ from the voice dialer included in cyanogenmod?
The google one are really creepy (not respond well with italian for example, they are optimized fr english), also they not work with carkit, and this one are OFFLINE
After you install this, is there a menu icon for it or it just improves the functionality of the voice dialer and voice search from Google? Because I couldn't find it in the app drawer...
on what rom are you installing this??
Tested successfully in any rom!
Try reflashing the ZIP and clear dalvik and cache!
Luca this is awesome!!! This is a BB feature that I wished our Droids have, and now you were able to bring it.
Thanks again!

Actually it was there, I just couldn't find it. Since my Milestone is in portuguese it is called "Commandos de voz" (green phone icon). But it is showing up in english. How do I change the language? I've tried going into the settings but there's no option. Shouldn't it match the system language?
probably not, I've ripped it from APAC leak and probably it does not support portoguese "icon"
but the commands are executed well in portuguese?>

Exactly, the icon name is actually in portuguese, but the app itself asks for commands in english.
@89luca89 if you speak italian and the name with italian accent it works ok?

italian language is supported
And work EXTREMELY well
Ok, I did some investigations and it does support multiple languages, including portuguese from Portugal (pt-pt). It gets the language defined in the system settings but if this is not supported by Voice Command, then it falls back to english.
I've tried to rename the ptpt files to ptbr but it doesn't work, the app FCs. So for portuguese you have to set Pt Pt as the system language.
Luca, where did you get this app from? Is it standard from Motorola sbf at some region? I'll try to find if pt-br is supported and get the TTS files.

Language Pack
I've flashed the Vivo Leak and got the pt-br (Portugues Brasil) and es-mx (Español Mexico) language files. Just apply the attached update.zip file and you're good to go!
EDIT: Reported that vending.apk was included in the update.zip file. I mistakenly forgot to remove it. Uploaded new update.zip pack. The attached file is the right one with only tts files from Voice Commands.

I think there is no Traditional Chinese Language pack.
But could you find Chinese Language input method?
Thx.
If there is no Chinese language input method there,
maybe the only way is to use another apps for the input.
No there are the same languages for the input. Also I'm using Gingerbread keyboard, but it also doesn't have the Chinese language.

I've already tried. that doesn't work. I guess every rom has it's own recognition sources with some other main languages like English and French. So I think there isn't a source for Turkish in KPQ.

I think I don't make myself clear. There is Turkish option but there isn't a voice input on keyboard for Turkish. When you select Turkish, microphone disappears from keyboard.
I'm using KPQ because much of the roms, mods, themes etc. are compatible with KPQ.
Try these apps from market and check whether it solves ur problem...
1) Morelocale2
2) set locale and language.

XBSA 5.2: Greek word PROGRAMS...

Hi!
It's not a big deal but...
I flashed XBSA ISC couple times from GB (for different reasons).
My system language is English but I have word PROGRAMS in Greek on top of the page where I can select apps or Widget. Word WIDGET is in English...
I used the same files to flash my buddies O3D and his is all English.
It doesn't bother me but rather curious
Anybody else has it?

Manually select english language from your settings and it will be ok
Thanks xbsall for reply!
I tried selecting language numerous times
My whole system is in English. Only that word and only in that place is in Greek - see attached screenshot.
Bit it's fine with me - it reminds me the origin of this great ROM
I just was wondering if it's only me...
Thanks again!
EDIT: Just reinstalled whole ROM - the same.
Installed different launcher. Switched back to Nova. And only THEN tried clearing data and cache for the app... Stupid me!!! Now everything is fine.
