Asphalt 7 very lag on my Viper rom - HTC Sensation

Hi guys, I brought asphalt 7 a few weeks back and the gameplay was terribly lag, close to unplayable. Any ideas what went wrong, is it the Rom or kernel related? Or just that my HTC sensation is too weak to play such quality game?

Asphalt 7 is working perfectly on my phone with vipers1.3.5

I also have viper 1.3.5 and asphalt 7 is also working fine on my device. Perhaps try to uninstall the game and re install it and see if that helps at all. It's worth a try.
Sent from HTC sensation, soff, 3.33 firmware, viper Rom, sense 4.1,kernel- faux 10b6 , Mugen 3800 mah battery. Please press thanks if I helped in anyway.

Hi Same problem, change kernel, because the bricked when go up of 40.0C undervolt to 972mhz, and asphalt is to heavy

I played Asphalt7 on my Sensation and i had no lag, i reinstalled it because i did a factory reset and (i dont know why) the second time i installed it lagged really bad... I aslo noticed that the graphics of the textures where higher, maybe that is the problem

Asphalt7 v1.0.0 works fine but when gameloft updates the game to 1.0.1, it lags like hell but the quality of the game did improve. Though wasn't that good as it made the game unplayable due to the massive lag. I redownload/install from Google Play several times, but no luck.

If it is a completely stock ROM for your network carrier then it should be identical and it won't heat up your phone, of course it will heat up if you are playing games for a while and similar things. I would recommend Android revolution if you wanted stock look and better performance though

Stock rom normally wont cause heat issue, but definitely heat up if use overclock kernel.
Where do you guys get this from? I've used ruus and they overheated loads so I'm using cyanogenmod and its all cool. fyi it didn't overheat when I was using miui with overclock to 1.7ghz.

It used to overheat at EVERYTHING, you not believe this but it was hot after a reboot, even like 5 minutes of internet browsing on 3g burned the phone. Now on on cyanogenmod it doesn't overheat even after 30 minutes of browsing on full brightness.

Ill try the first mod. Hope it'll work better

Sense 4 and slight hum background noise?

I just noticed on Viper Rom (probably any Sense 4 Rom) that when using a good pair of ear buds that block out all sound, you can hear a hum in the background when swiping between screens and going into apps. It's almost like a touchscreen thing. Once you stop swiping and settle on a home screen it stops, but once you switch screens again the hum comes back. Anyone know or can verify this? I'm using a pair of etymotic HF2s with a really good seal, so no other noise is present.

Sorry to bump this back up, but anyone willing to test or confirm/deny? I'm going to roll back to Sense 3.6 and see if the same thing happens.
Can confirm

Thanks for testing. BTW - what Rom did you test this on?

That could be a hardware problem to me and could be a ground issue there shouldnt be hum in the back ground of any kind

I went back to a nandroid of Sense 3.6 and it virtually disappeared. So it leads me to possibly think of something in Sense 4... But who knows....so many factors...kernel, base, firmware...
I still love Sense 4, but would be great if more can test.

Tab 2 7" laggy?

Hi guys, i'm considering this tab.
I've tried it in some shop, but find it slow of respons on the screen and laggy.
Can't make out if its something to do with the demo/shop version.
Anyone experienced this with their tab 2 7? Solutions if so?
10" seems to work smoother. Specs look similar except for bigger screen.
Thnx for respons

Unless you're playing a really graphic intense game along with music and texting it won't lag! I'm my experience it has never lagged once!
Sent from my GT-P3100 using Tapatalk 2
Believe it or not i have not experienced even a small lag while playing hd games like nova 3,modern combat, asphalt 6 and 7,shadowgun,wild blood etc......
Touch is excellent..
Go for this tab its a great consumer product...
Its 7 inch version is good but if you wanna go for 10 inch consider note 10,nexus 10 or transformer.

Thanks guys for your answers. I'll assume the lagging I experienced must have been caused by all the demoing...
All these no-no's in the shops...
Will rooting improve the speed? Any experience on that?

The JB ROM will definitely improve the speed.
I've been using the indian leak and it is MUCH better than the previous stock ICS.
