No, that is not possible because MT677 SoC doesn't support USB OTG.

There is no native support for OTG usb cable. You need special kernel, and external power supply as hardware doesn't enough power in the usb to power flash drive. It may be possible with supported kernel and usb y cable with external power.

hello dear masters
i have some chinese android phone with mtk chipset. one of them get flash with only a single common mini usb cable (with sp flashtool), i loss that cable now and try to flash that model with other cable and test several mini usb cable but i had not any result, that cable have this words (AWM 2725 80'C 30V VM-1 28AWG/1P AND 28AWG/2C USB CABLE FUTENG), please help me for solve this problem if you know its very important for me...

I purchased a Cubot One, and assumed it could work in USB Host mode. I've tried with an OTG cable and a USB thumb drive, and no go. Is it just my phone, or does this phone not support this? Hard to find any reliable information from google.
Anyone? Would a custom rom enable this?
How can I root this marshmallow device? When I connect the device to PC in fastboot mode the screen goes white blank all it starts to connect as (qualcomm H's USB diagnostic 9091)
(qualcomm hs USB wwan adopter 9091)
(qualcomm hs USB qdloader 9008 (com8))
5 modes to get connected as USB in developers option under networking-
1 USB charging here are all DLL drivers for modem above described to use on PC.
2 media transfer
3 photo transfer
4 USB Ethernet
5 MIDI
You connect all drivers get installed. Adb drivers and fastboot tool were all properly installed but device never listens or detects itself in fastboot mode..OEM unlocked and USB debugging is enabled.....Kingroot5.0.5 apk not working nor the PC version is a success.
Kingoroot have failed.
Frama and towel etc do not parse on marshmallow.
It was for lte support 4g late....
Let me know, if there is anyone who succeeded to root this device....
