[Q] CM10 LTE settings sticking - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

I know that during the development process for CM10 there were issues of LTE settings not sticking, especially if you had upgraded to 2.20 and kept root. Has this issue been fixed? I tried searching but was seeing mixed answers...

Already fixed, as far as I'm aware. With latest nightly (10/12) you should have proper LTE.

i9020a Bugs with menu and search

Do these bugs happen with every rom? Im so sick of it i want to revert back to stock. Do all roms have this bug?
What bug?
When you get a weak 3g signal the menu button and search button fires. It was my understanding that it was because i9020a was not competely compatible with i9020t and i9023. Am i wrong? Can someone else weigh in on this please?!
I remember hearing about this in the Gingerbread days, don't know if I saw anything on it since there was an update that had supposedly fixed it.
I haven't had the issue before, but when I was in an area with weak reception (while out of town) I started having the search button going crazy/being activated. When I had the problem I using JellyBelly ROM. I switched to Brainmaster's Stock JB 4.1.1 but no change. Now I'm using JB inverted 4.1.1, back at home, with no issue.
Now that I've read this thread, I don't believe it is the ROMs but possibly the reception issue.

[Q] GS3 with AOKP 4.1.1 and Lean Kernel JB 1.3 issues

First, with only one bar, I can't access the play store, etc etc. Nothing with network. Gmail is not synching at all. No notifications etc.
Everything was working previously. My other verizon GS3 which is totally stock is working as it should, so this is an issue with the rom, kernel or combo.
Are these known issues?
Everyone says they run the AOKP and LeanKernel and it's the best combo for the verizon gs3.
Did you install the 3g fix? I cant even use aokp because of wifi issues so i feel your pain.

[Q] CM10 Google Nav crashing. Can anyone help?

I have been on CM10 for the past 4 weeks or so. Love it, but google navigation keeps crashing anywhere from immediately to ~30 seconds after launch. Maps, directions work fine, just when I launch NAV. running 20121101.063920 but this issue has been happening in the last couple of builds. Can anyone help?
I am seeing the exact same problem on recent CM10 builds for the Sprint EVO 4G LTE. I've been unable to find the cause.

Yes, I've been following the issue as well. Still no luck, but it seems to be in the pipeline for a fix. Here's hoping.
Me too
I have the same issue. HTC EVO lte Other than that really annoying bug in GNav, I LOVE cm10. One other issue that I have is that sometimes on third party apps, when I pause music, it will pause, and then play for a second and then repause itself.
Same issue here... It happened to me since first nightly... I've lost hope... Will change to a sense based rom.

will not change, read the posts about the stock jb release sense based, we have the same problem. HTC is obviously sitting on its ass!! As usual.
Stuck with crashing NAV now.
Yep... I've tried several sense based roms since I originally posted this. I'm tempted to go back to stock ROM, but I'm Cincinnati Bell Wireless and haven't been able to find my stock one. I wasn't smart enough to back up the original ICS that came with the phone. Guess I'm stuck with whatever NAV can give me in the 15 seconds before it locks up each time.

Another EVO LTE user with same issue
Another EVO LTE user with the same problem. Almost immediately after opening to the navigation screen after selecting a destination, the app crashes. This seems to happen on 10 and 10.1.
Any fix yet?
Anyone know a fix to this yet?
Seems whether I run a stock-based or CM-based ROM I still get this issue if it's Jelly Bean.
The workaround has been to run Google Navigation in 2D mode... ALL the time...
Took some getting used to, but it's pretty silly to be stuck with this.
Long term... I'm moving to S4.

[Q] Are the stock ROMs still the only option for WiFi Calling?

I assume so, but thought I'd check in. I tried searching but a lot of the posts are older.
Edit: I suppose I should note I realize there are non-stock ROMs with wifi-calling, but they'd be CM9?
Thank you.
Yep, official cm9.1 stable had and option to wifi call but i have never tried it so i dont know wether is it working

Stock 4.1.2 on Sim Modded phone

Been running cm 10.2.1 for a bit now its works but has several issues, and was wondering if the Stock Rom 4.1.2 capable or running GSM? i know once flashing it back ill need to unlock the radio, but is it capable, CM is nice but too many little issues to make it practical on the photon q
so is it possible, if so how?
or is it not possible, why?
Why aren't you running a newer ROM, e.g. CM11? It's under the device name of "moto_msm8960".
Sent from Google Nexus 4 @ CM11
havent been running a newer rom because i hadnt gotten around to updating the recovery for flashing CM 11 since the photon q is no longer supported offfically by any of the updates and there arent currently any stable releases of CM 11 only nightly builds
Most of the Issues im dealing wirh are annoying and id rather not repeat them if i didnt haveto, many folks are still complaining about the broken data hand shaking issues for 3g data

Man, the only time to crank out a stable build is when the next Android version is out... Don't expect stable releases in the middle of something. Nightlies have always been stable for me. And isn't updating the recovery a simple one-time thing?

Photon Q is officially supported by CyanogenMod (I'm maintainer).
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Moto_msm8960_Info
I recommended to use OpenRecovery 2.09, download link can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=48551561&postcount=75
CM11 is what I run on my phone and I'm not aware of any issues worth mentioning.
I have no idea what you mean by
broken data hand shaking issues for 3g data

. If people complain but don't post
Code:
adb logcat -b radio
, there's no way to help them. My data work fine.
(Issues reported by CDMA users are something else, outside of my scope as I'm in GSM land, but CDMA fixes are still in progress in the generic CM code).
When I search https://jira.cyanogenmod.org for xt897, I see only three bug reports.
There's not much moto_msm8960 specific progress happening right now as we mostly wait for the release of 3.4 kernel source by Motorola (it would be waste of time to backport more 3.4 code to our current 3.0 kernel as 3.0 will become obsolete hopefully soon).
Anyway, back to your original question: you can use the stock 4.1.2 firmware on SIM modded Q just fine.
on version 10.2.1 I had issues with 3G data, I had data when the Phone was connected with H+ but the Moment it switched to 3G i lost Connectivity, after a small amount of Google searching I found other folks had this issue as well except the Photon Q community had Not reported this issue explicitly, the Loss of 3G isnt something most would notice since the Coverage has been improving Signifcantly but for me in my area its fairly apparent because its more Rural, so we have some holes in the At&ts 4g coverage
I installed the Latest 2.7 Twrp and flashed CM11 Nightly lastest, working ok, but the Install of Gapps Keeps failing, this phone being my daily driver i want it to be as seamless as possible
Flashed latest Nightly and 3-22_gapps_Standard_4.4.2_Signed.zip
its failing on the gapps install
the 3G issues on the Nightly seem eliminated as i Havent Noticed the Coverage Loss as of yet, but was hoping to Get Ingress Running which made the Loss of Connectivity very apparent Go resistance!
thank U for the reply guys, I really do appreciate your works and didn't mean to come off as a whiner, just need it to work seamlessly since its a daily driver and this roms are experimental and Im no expert, I really do enjoy the Features Implemented and the Debloating especally but simply wondered if the stock would be able to provide me a more stable environment until till more kinks got worked out
