Hi guys i got my atrix 2 today and i updated it from 2.3.5 to 4.0.4 . Everything is ok so far but i couldnt find the flash player for browser. How can i install it as its not in the google play. And can i remove stock apps like browser. I searched forum but couldn't get the answer.
From my understanding and reading somewhere on this fourm that ICS 4.0.4 does not support flash player. I may be mistaken though. Never have used it myself on GB either but ya, this is just of my knowledge.

Well you can search for the apk file of adobe flash player and install it.it'll give a message that flash is no longer supported on this device.ignore it.use a flash enabled browser(i use and recommend dolphin) and you'll be able to play flash content without any hassle.
Pm me if you can't find the flash apk
PS. DX2Trip is right.flash player is no longer supported for our device.html5 is the new era's flash.

As announced directly from Adobe, they will no longer support Flash Player to the latest version of the OS (4.1.X)/(4.0.4)
If not officially supported, that does not mean that Flash Player can not be installed on devices with Android Jelly Bean 4.1.X or Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.X

Here, in fact, a small guide to follow to install Adobe Flash Player 11.1.115.12:
1) Download the file. Apk of Flash Player:http://www.mediafire.com/?lqxd6qnr63kj2t1
Download the file flash_player version 11.1.102.59.apk:http://d-h.st/o1I
Dolphin Browser HD 8.5.1 APK (Supports Flash):http://d-h.st/3ZS
2) Copy your files to the SD card of your Android device. (Be it tablet or smartphone, it makes no difference)
3) Install it using any File Manager.
4) Start the Browser
5) Go into the Browser settings and uncheck the option of Flash Player (on demand or always on at your discretion)
6) Finally you have the latest version of Flash also Android!
Adobe Flash Player is not officially supported and therefore the speed of loading of Flash objects in HTML pages is not guaranteed at the highest levels. However, as tested, Flash Player behaves well with satisfactory results.

Okay, it kept acting like it didn't want to proceed with the install, despite my choosing my current device from my list of devices. Also, good to download the .apk for future quick copying to the /sdcard in the case of factory resetting, etc. Thanks for confirming...
Works for Me
Thanks Apex_Strider :good:
I just got the Lapdock 100 and updated my Atrix 2 to OTA ICS for Webtop 3.0. Flash worked perfectly before the updated, so I was a bit upset to find out it didn't afterward. For my purposes it made having the Lapdock pointless. Was very relieved when I found this thread. Installed Flash and Dolphin APKs and now everything is good. Only had one problem, initially after everything was installed Flash still wouldn't play, but after a reboot it was fine.
Now I have Atrix 2 with ICS and Lapdock 100 with Webtop 3.0 AND Flash - even though it is last year's tech, it is a pretty sweet setup. Other people in the house are jealous and they want a Lapdock. Now I have to search to see if there is a hack that will allow the Lapdock to work with other phones.
help with flash on atrix 2 ICS
Sorry to bring this thread back to life but I just can't seem to get Flash to work on my Atrix 2 (ICS - upgrade from OTA) that is rooted. I followed the instructions from apex in this thread (post #4) but every flash page I goto gives me a blank flash player with what appears to be a Lego piece with a questions mark.
Tried both Dolphin browser per this thread and the stock browser. Any help would be appreciated as I have the atrix lapdock 100 and need to access a site that only uses flash.
Thanks.

Hey guys
the other night i was messing about with my p6200 with KL7 firmware and decided i was totally sick of the crappy Samsung stock apks camera, music, browser calender... etc and i was sick of waiting for some one to make a theme or a mob to fix this issue as i have always wanted AOSP vanilla honeycomb on the p6200 i decided it was time i go bare grills on its ass haha
this is what i did.....
NOTE: first you will need to be rooted deodexed and have root explorer.....
step1. download the stock ROM for the asus transformer 3g (its easy to find on XDA i can not post links as i am new)
step2. extract all the system apps in to a folder (i will make a flash soon but if you want them now then continue )
step3. place the folder on to the root of your SD card unplug USB
step4. providing you have root explorer installed navigate to system, app and make a back up of all your stock apks you wish to replace...WARNING: only use the apks i have listed below any damages caused at this point will be nothing to do with me and it will be your fault. if you wish to come and kick my ass then so be it hahaha
step5. providing you have backed up you apks to a safe place e.g. SD card you are safe to continue. now navigate to your folder from which we placed on to the root of the SD card before then find the apk you wish to replace and press copy or move press back till you are in the main path agen and open system, app and past (some apks will appear straight away but its always best to reboot.
step6. after applying apks its always best to navigate to settings, applications, manage applications, all applications and find the apk you just installed and clear data or it may force close until you do so e.g. browser will force close until you clear its data.
their you go guys its done you are now using stock honeycomb apks and they should be all working. let me know how you get on
list of working asus apks tested and confirmed working
1.stock asus camera (fully working)
2.stock asus launcher (partly working as it force closes when adding widgets)
3.stock asus calender (fully working)
4.stock asus gallery (fully working)
5.stock asus music player (fully working and beautiful)
6.stock asus browser (fully working but required data to be cleared)-this browser will not dim the back light then opened unlike the stock browser and it looks soooo much crisper and clean.
pleas read all instructions and do this at your own wrist i recommend nandroid back up before any kind of modification.
thanks agen
aim of this is to encourage a willing developer to make a AOSP vanilla honeycomb theme for the p6200 using my discovery...it would be a revelation for our p6200s
please feel free to app links if you have them for downloads etc...
i have did try adding screen shots

Even better, is it possible to remove the entire MiniApps bar? I have the Tab2 for 2 days only, and I already hate the customized navbar...
So far so good, this Rom feels lite on tab and it's a big improvement over stock, part of that is the fact that a lot of software is removed.
Got my task/app manager back, unzipped stock Rom and pushed the apk into system app's . All is well.
Thanks for the infection

Thanks for the official thread. Right now on CM9/ICS my Touchpad can play 720p youtube videos using flash without noticeable frame dropping. Of course youtube has its own app, but this was merely to benchmark it, and it does pretty well. When CM10/JB arrives I will have to see how well it does. The Android browser on a tablet feels nearly desktop grade especially with flash player, I'd hate to lose it. May be enough to keep me back on CM9.
Ahh thank you Stem! This worked perfect.. i can play streaming audio again And so far JB is great... and no beats audio which breaks flash audio very happy...

It is going to be removed in mid-August. They're just not going to support it for Android versions above 4.0.x.

Flash is horrible, I am glad it's dying. Web devs are already adapting to HTML5 and JS.
I was googling for an Official APK and I found this Archive Flash page from Adobe:
helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html
The latest version for Android is Flash Player 11.1 for Android (11.1.102.59).
I downloaded it, but it does not seem to work. I have a Nexus Galaxy HSPA+ GSM with 4.1.1.
Do you know why this " official" archive, not so old, doesn't work? Is there something that makes the APK that you linked special to work?
Thank you for this thread and your efforts.

I think my Flash on GNex survived the jump from ICS to Jelly Bean; however, my phone was acting crazy and froze many times while putting the PIN in and after the 3rd time... it reset. >.> I was so upset when re installing apps that I could not get Flash back. Are you still able to get Flash updates through a Jelly Bean Play Store? or Once you upgrade to Jelly Bean, then that's it, you are stock wit that version?
Does anyone happen to know if you can roll back an OTA without rooting?

Is there a reason why installing the APKs from the Adobe website won't work?
I also used ASTRO File Manager to back up the latest Flash app APK from my Gingerbread back-up phone and, it installs but won't work.
Kinda curious. Is there something that needs to be modified for them to work well as the one you posted?
Thank you in advance.
Sony's PlayStation Mobile for Android just went live for certified devices last night. But what if you don't have a certified device, which so far includes only a number of Sony phones and tablets as well as the HTC One series? Heck, I have a One series device - the EVO LTE - but turns out it's not certified. That's just silly.
Not a problem - if you have root on your phone or tablet, getting the PSM (PlayStation Mobile) apk to work is a matter of pushing a few files it relies on to your /system directory and rebooting. Original credit goes to XxXPachaXxX - I used his work from a few months ago, took out some extra unnecessary Bravia engine stuff, and repacked it into a flashable zip for use with the PSM.
Here is PS Mobile running on my Nexus 7:

On the Nexus 7, I was able to play the free game and successfully tested a paid game called Fuel Tiracas. They both worked wonderfully. I also bought Samurai Beatdown, but for some reason it didn't install right (I tried 3 times but the download just said installation unsuccessful, hmmm).
Unfortunately, PSM crashes upon loading the store front on my EVO LTE. If you're not using a certified device, don't be surprised if it crashes on yours too - after all, it wasn't certified and, therefore, not tested.
HERE IS VIDEO FOR INSTALLING THE PSM
video BY Devicecustomizer
Step 1.
Download and install the latest PSM apk from Sony. I mirrored the current version, 1.0, here:
http://www.mediafire.com/?7wvag1n78y2a393
http://beta.androidfilehost.com/?fid=9390113915771290046
http://d-h.st/cyF
http://www.mirrorcreator.com/files/MAMYVY06/
If you try to run the PSM app now, you'll likely get this:
Step 2.
Download the flashable zip I packed from one of these mirrors:
http://beta.androidfilehost.com/?fid=9390113915771290047
http://www.mediafire.com/?sd2upzy00m1x5e6
http://d-h.st/hr8
http://www.mirrorcreator.com/files/1GZFXIM8/
Step 3.
Note: Just to be clear once again, you have to be rooted to install the helper files com.playstation.playstationcertified.jar and com.playstation.playstationcertified.xml. If you're not rooted yet, first figure out how to do so to your device and then come back.
Flash the zip from custom recovery, like ClockworkMod or TWRP. This relies on having busybox, which if you're rooted, you likely already do.
Alternatively, if you don't want to flash from recovery or just like to know what you're doing, you can perform the steps manually while booted into Android:
Unzip the zip file downloaded in step 2.
Copy playcertetcpermissionscom.playstation.playstationcertified.xml to /system/etc/permissions/ on your device.
Copy playcertframeworkcom.playstation.playstationcertified.jar to /system/framework/ on your device.
Set the permissions on com.playstation.playstationcertified.jar to 644 (read/write, read, read) using your favorite file manager or command line.
Reboot.
At this point, PSM should work just fine and you should no longer see the error from Step 1. Go register for a Sony Entertainment Network account if you haven't yet and try playing some games.

I was hoping for PSP/PS1 games, but nope. (Mainly the ones I already own, hoping I can just dl them.)
Mostly indy/casual games.

Same here, hoping that someone will find a fix for us International GS3 users.
New user here. I tried to root the device using instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1367249 (can't post yet there)
However, when I verified it using root checker, it thinks that I don't have any proper root access.
Other issues I had with this device recently include Jetpack Joyride no longer starting (hangs at Halfbrick screen) and Angry Birds Go! having the same issue (black screen after updating the app), and a streaming app complaining "this video cannot be played".
Any help? Version 3.2, stock factory.

Its been 18 months since i have been on android honeycomb
I don't root using that method
I only use Framaroot
I would suggest updating your tab to stock jelly bean (skip ice-cream-sandwich)

I tried Framaroot, and Root Checker does not recognize it. I'll see if ICS improve things or not.

don't upgrade to ics go to jelly bean directly as ics may brick your tab on factory reset

Well well now I run into a dillema now. ICS bricks tablet and JB changes the notification bar (I don't want that). What to do? Is it possible to upgrade to JB and get old HC/ICS notification bar?
Also one more (unrelated) problem (in addition to Jetpack Joyride/ABGo! no longer starting and TV streaming app not working) was that the if an app crashes, it does no longer say 'sorry! this app has stopped', it locks up the tablet to black.

"Is it possible to upgrade to JB and get old HC/ICS notification bar?"
Yes you have 2 options to do this you can go stock rom and modify it yourself then it is 80% what you want or custom rom i would go for this custom rom [XXMF1 V1.7 P6200][Aroma] EXCLUSIVE Fast | Clean & Rock Stable as its only a few taps and ics style is back (downside mini calculator is in version 1.8 of rom ETA unknown)
Here is a screenshot of touchwiz launcher (its empty yes i dont use the launcher)
this is to show you it is possible
