Hello, I'm using Cyanogenmod (official unmodded) and I was wondering if there is a way to make calls in landscape view, because the phone app always rotate the screen to portrait mode even if the device is in landscape orientation.

i'm liking ICS quite a bit but call screen annoys me...it can't rotate. i use car mode a lot so it annoys me when everything is sideways once i have it docked.
if anyone can mod the phone app that would be awesome! (i did see a mod for landscape call screen on the samsung galaxy 2 forum but that is for gingerbread).
landscape and dialer
I have the same question. I had the Sky Ice Cream Sandwich GB ROM and the incoming call screen had a landscape mode. It's frustrating not having it in ICS.
The stock dialer also does not have a button for contacts, it's as if they're separate. So I replaced it with exdialer. However that does not do landscape. Now I'm using Dialer One, which does landscape wonderfully (but doesn't allow you to delete those annoying redundant groups).
So, how difficult would it be to hack the call screen to have a landscape mode, and mod the stock dialer/contacts to integrate more?
Thanks!
I have the official stock ICS 4.0.4 and my keyboard does not switch to fullscreen mode when i rotate the phone into landscape. Instead i keep seeing the website and textarea i am typing in (for example in a forum). Before 4.0.4 i was on 2.3.6 and it worked as it should.
I tried the default android keyboard and SmartKeyboard Pro. I also tried changing the settings for going/not going into fullscreen for both landscape and portrait. These settings have no effect whatsoever, even when i set it to go fullscreen in portrait mode it doesnt do it.
Please help!
Hello,
I have a problem with display rotation, on Stock 8.0 i could lock in landscape rotation in apps (like browsers for example) via quicksettings toggle (tap once for auto rotate -> hold phone sideways (while browser open) -> tab toggle again, phone now locked in landscape mode. Ever since updating to 8.1 it wont stick to landscape mode, it will instantly go back to portrait orientation :/
Can anyone confirm if they can still use the quicksetting orientation toggle in the way i described above (anyone on 8.1)? Is it a unknown bug maybe?
I am not using stock kernel (due to magisk and safetynet) but testet it on two different kernels (currently on flash kernel).
Or does anyone know of a solution that does not require an additional app running/managing the rotation?
Thanks!
Edit: For anyone facing the same problem, i found a workaround. It's not perfect but has to do for now: Download "Tiles" from the Playstore (paid app), there one can add a toggle for rotation that toggles through all avaible orientations. It's still more annoying than a native toggle that sticks to landscape straigth away but at least it makes it possible to have an app stick to landscape orientation regardless of phone orientation.
I have autorotation disabled (via Quick Panel Tile) on my S908B but have noticed that some apps still rotate.
For example, Zoom rotates from portrait to landscape to both left and right.
Star Wars Heroes (game) is always landscape but rotates by 180° depending on which way I turn my phone.
I had a Note 8 before the S22U and disabling autorotation meant that apps didn't rotate unless they were landscape only, and those apps only rotated in one direction.
Is this normal on the S22U?
