Excellent news. Was waiting for this for quite long, there could be some fun project with quite a few Exynos based development boards.

The codeworkx already would quit developing for the Galaxy SII and SIII probably, he is striving to continue development without the necessary documentation. The Aorth doing a great job. I hope that Samsung fulfill his word without even rolling over yet, so I think matter of time before we ROMs more stable and officially supported by CM. I do not know if Aorth part of Team CM, but I believe the same CM10 having official support (I wish so much ^ ^) should continue with him at the helm, after he saved us!! Thank Aorth too!!!
I'm very anxious, just want to see the development of this increase!!
Waiting CyanogenMod support and other Builds now .... Hopefully soon I started as vai be disponiabilizada documentation.

CM9

Do any of our awesome developers plan on working on a cm9 port once source for ics is released?
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using Tapatalk
I bet the real devs here will work on there own roms when source is released instead of kanging cyanogenmod.
I really hope someone will!
Since my SGS II runs with CM7, i'd love to see it on my TF.

I hope there will be a "official" Team for building CM9 for the TF, not a simple Kang.
Why not contribute? I'm not aware of CM's development model but I'm sure they would appreciate help, or say tablets should FO.

Some of the CM devs got TF's so yes, we will most probably get official release in the first wave

OMAP 3630 Drivers available from TI

Guys,
OMAP drivers are available as per the below info from TI.
Can devs validate this info?
You can find the Kernel 3.0 drivers for OMAP3630 at the below location:
K3.0 branch:
http://git.omapzoom.org/?p=kernel/omap.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/p-android-omap3-3.0
This has all the necessary drivers to ensure kernel and UI bringup. There is work ongoing wot validate all MM functionality and more updates will continue to be done on this git. So please monitor the changes on this over the next few weeks.

Although I'll be a lot less active, my support is still there!
Great news buddy
OMG! There are a hell lot of patches and files in the source tree
This is one great news. Hope we will be enjoying ICS with proper stability
Still fingers crossed...until some dev can check and confirm that this is useful and bring some improvement to the development

Not even quad core devices have 4.2 yet..
And you want a Single Core phone that cant really handle 4.0/4.1 to have 4.2?

Also, you have a Galaxy Y by looking at your posts..
Why do you need 4.2 on a Galaxy 3. If you havent noticed they are pretty different devices..

I'm not so sure about that. Correct me if I'm wrong but JB is easier to port, and more stable than ICS on most phones. I don't know if JB is easier to port than GB, though.
Either way, most people seem to have moved on. Support will diminish rapidly, if it already hasn't. It's sad.

may we fight for any future android os but fact is that till kernel 3.4x and open source driver for fimg 3dSE project doesn't get completed our phone will be incomplete as this two are vvvvvvvvvvv.imp projects for Samsung galaxy 3 i5800/i5800 .
Our Phone was incomplete the moment we were told that we wouldnt get official Gingerbread..
lets face it, if marcellusbe stops developing, this phone is screwed.....
There are some other Rubens , Sad , hillbeast, kyrillos13, Michał12 , tom3q and team ...... but i think The Samsung G3 Apollo i5800 Forum ..... Is becoming like Nintendo ....
Please Devs Give Us ... the 4.2 AOSP or Aokp and we will not bordering you any more ....
I agree there are others, and their work is valuable, Hillbeast just said he may make another Froyo rom, kyrillos13 just updated his, but things are a lot different from how it was a year ago, people move on and new phones are released, the g3 is a good little phone, jb worked so much better than I thought, but its at the end of its development life.
I have apps that will only run on gb, and other apps that will not run well because of the lack of memory, while my wife had a galaxy mini, and it runs gb without a problem, official upgrade

Jellybean 4.2 doesn't even work on the Galaxy S2 because Google have locked down the way the system controls graphics to stop Samsung releasing terrible old broken drivers and libraries. If the Exynos 4 isn't going to play nice, I wouldn't be expecting the S5P6442 in our little G3 would either. Don't hold your hopes up.

Hahaha... Nintendo.. Nice one..
i think we are expecting too much from dev if you also want to run 4.2 please guy be practical enuf as only too android os that should be complete are gb and jellybean as this are only two project were dev are able to run most of thing running so keep your finger cross and wait and watch or help dev at least to finish pending project even if u get latest wat use of that if your not get complete experience of it
Mhmm. As the others said, its all or nothing. Its a bit... Impractical to ask devs for a 4.2 release purely because a phone can only be taken so far in terms of OS. No doubt 4.2, while being an incremental update to 4.1.2, changed quite a bit about Jelly Bean. And if Google really has locked down on graphics control in 4.2, then the G3 will have a hard time...
Maybe things will change and a 4.2 update will come through for the Galaxy 3. But until then... Don't get your hopes up too high.

Actually.. teammate (nocoast) has AOSP working for the GNote 2. Which uses the same soc. I don't know what you're trying to prove w this, but although the development community has indeed vocalized frustration w Samsung ( and for good reason) there are once again several devices team liquid has AOSP running on the gnote2 (7305), i9300, & hopefully v soon the i9305 as well. We are optimistic that Samsung will hear our cry and hopefully (re)release some exynos4 code. Entropy512 and others working at this w plenty by their sides. I will continue to work at this until we get it working. I take no credit for anything however once again as I stated it is already currently working for several exynos4 devices. This is fact. I have found links for Nexus devices and don't know what to modify for our 8160.

So please, if anyone can help with some useful links i would appreciate it.
Thanks.
P.S. If i manage to build a working ROM i will gladly share it.

Call Maclaw, he is a doctor of ACE, with his track record he able to build Final ICS AOSP and CM 9, and now he builds JB AOSP for S3 Mini.....
did you know? S3 Mini and Ace 2 generally not much different.

and
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39585258&postcount=1778
Maclaw selected SIII Mini, not ACE II for next project as you can read on his blog. Also saying that "S3 Mini and Ace 2 generally not much different" is like saying that SIII and Galaxy Note 10.1 are not much different. They have the same SOC and thats all.
Yet different enough. Even if they look similar, there are other differences that don't make porting such and easy task.
Still, publishing the sources for this handset is a great step forward. I, for one, cannot wait to flash a custom rom.
