So i bought a used LG GW620 online and when i got it, it still had its gmail account on it, which basically screwed me over. I was wondering if there was anyway to factory reset the phone if unable to do so in the settings menu

Unfortunately this site only deals with HTC phones, not LG. So I doubt that you will get much help here, sorry.
dang. since it's an android phone i thought this place would be a good place for help. any suggestions on where i could get help?
i called lg and rogers and none of them were any help
I will get mine in a couple days (running HTC Dream right now).
I guess if your goal is to just reset the gmail account, you can do so by reseting the google apps setting.
Go to Menu|Settings|Applications|Manage applications
Look for “Google Apps“. Select it.
Press “clear data“
next time you launch the market or gmail, it will prompt for your gmail account again.
I wish I could do that, but the phone won’t even let me go to home screen. Once I turn on the phone it asks for the gmail to get past security. The only access I have on the phone is Emergency Dial
On the EVE to do a FACTORY RESET or DATA RESET
enter in 3845#*620# in the dialer to get in to LG’s hidden menu.
DO THE FOLLOWING TO RESET LG GW620 TO FACTORY SETTINGS.
Hold down the VOLUME DOWN button, MENU button (the one on the keyboard), and CAMERA button for about 5-10 seconds, and a message will come up asking if you want to factory reset the phone.
Important : all data will be lost
GW620 Factory reset
Hi every one
Should the phone be on, or we start it with the three buttons holded?

GW620 Factory Reset
Hi, Just to let you all know that I been stuck with a home page that would not load properly but would not close either for the last 24 hours before finding this page! No calls, texts or anything!! I was starting to have withdrawal symptoms. LOL However as long as I got my phone on, & with a little manoeuvring, I managed to get all three of these buttons pressed together & my GW620 did indeed go to the Factory Reset message! Thank you Davy.d

Just to clarify it.. Phone should be ON when you use that key combination. Will work. Tested.
the combinations don't work...the only thing you can do is flashing another firmware it resets the phone
So someone decided it was funny to keep on trying to get my password and eventually locked the whole thing. You can unlock this buy logging in to your email but the wifi on it is turned off. The tablet is rooted. I just don't want to do a factory reset so is there any other way to unlock it?

uhmmm maybe try and reboot ??
You don't happen to have a USB-to-ethernet adapter, do you?
Maybe this helps
Hard Reset
A hard reset (also known as a factory reset) will clear all data and settings from the memory of the device and set it back to factory default settings. You can perform hard reset on the Asus Eee Pad using the Android OS menus or the hardware buttons.
Method 1
1. Power the Eee Pad off.
2. Press and hold the Volume Down button on the left side of the device, then press and hold the Power button.
3. Continue to hold both buttons until a bootloader screen appears.
4. Wait for the prompt that says to “Press <VOL_UP>” then press the Volume Up button to start the process.
The Asus Eee Pad will complete the hard reset process and reboot into a factory default state.

I think I might have one at home. Will that connect the internet automatically?
If the adapter has the right chipset and stuff, yes. If you know anybody with an Apple USB-to-ethernet adapter, that one should work too.
Does the reset hole work? I think there is a small hole by the micro HDMI port that you can put a pin or paperclip into and reset. I don't have my pad with me at work, but I feel like I remember using this once for a similar reason.

A possible solution?
Can't you just unlock it from ADB? Since its not letting you input the password anymore, then I don't know if this will work.
But here's the command to try to unlock it anyway.
If its a pattern, then try this "rm /data/system/gesture.key"
If its a password or pin, try this "rm /data/system/password.key"
Don't forget to ask for SU permissions first.

Hi guys, so one of my kids decided that they want to password protect the tablet (think it's cool) using Google account.
So, now each time the tablet boots up it is locked and ask to sign into Google account. Here's the kicker, they did this at their friend's home using the friend's Wifi connection, and now that they're home they couldn't connect to our home Wifi because the tablet is locked and so they couldn't sign into Google or activate Wifi.
Is there a way to remove this lock? The tablet is useless last couple of days. Can we do a factory reset or something similar?
Really appreciate all the help.

Yes, doing a factory reset will put the tablet back as clean slate. You can set up the account like a new tablet. The only downside is you will be losing the apps you have installed already.

Follow the steps,
Power down the tablet.
Press Power and Volume down button together for 10-15 seconds till you get into the bootloader menu
Use volume down keys to navigate to wipe data menu in the two or three icons (depending on 4.2 or 4.1 bootloader)
Within 10 seconds of the selection of the wipe data icon, press volume up to confirm selection.
Press volume up again to re-confirm (bootloader will prompt the re-confirmation)
Wait for the data wipe to happen (will take 10-15 mins max)
The tablet will reboot and you will be presented with the setup wizard like when you got your new tablet.
Hope this helps.
Got a tablet from rentacenter a few months back and i only need it for school (monday) and im just getting around to turning it on only to realize there's a passcode!
Of course I tried to wipe everything off by doing a factory restore but that's not working. I tried power + volume down, power + volume up, with and without the keyboard attatchment. all of those combinations lead to either the screen turning off or just the tablet powering on in safe mode. any tips?

I got this asus 10.1 android tablet from my mom and I can't get into it. It has a passcode and I have tried more then 10times to factory reset it, but it won't give me the screen it's supposed to show. Is there some way to bypass the code to get into it.
Thanks in advance for any advice,
Similar to others recently, I've gotten the "Samsung keyboard keeps stopping" message. I restarted my phone, thinking it would help. However, when you restart, you can't unlock your phone with a fingerprint, it has to be through entering your password. My keyboard won't pop up though, so I'm 100% locked out of my phone. I've tried everything from restarting, powering down, restarting in safe mode. The only thing I haven't done is a factory restart, because I have precious photos of my infant daughter on there that I cannot lose. I've taken it to stores, and have tried connecting it to my Mac, but to no avail, I've found no way to bypass my lock screen. I'm just looking to either unlock it, or get my photos off so I can do a factory reboot. Help!
You could download the app for say Google Keyboard and install it with adb
adb install keyboard.apk
