[Q] lost my recovery and root (i think) - Optimus One, P500, V Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was messing around with some custom roms I downloaded and now I can't access the recovery and I think the phone got unrooted, how can I activate the recovery mode again? D:
Thanks in advance

1) For ROOTING: Download antking root toolkit for LG P500. Search xda forum.
2) For REVOVERY: Download rom manager . Instal new cwm recovery again.

Installing SuperUser WithOut Custom Recovery

i have 2 question:
1. can we install superuser without custom recovery flash on htc explorer/pico.
2. after installing super user from custom recovery can we install stock recovery. as with custom recovery i am having many issue such as inbuilt defragment not working etc.
Superuser is automatically installed when you root. You do NOT need a custom recovery.
The recovery allows you to backup/restore, factory reset, and flash custom ROMs/mods/kernels.
So they are not related at all.

you can try to root your phone than as our friend said the SU came with it automaticaly, and then you should try to go back to stock recovery as you having problems... if it doesn't work you could try other methods to root your phone without the need of installing custom recovery, i don't know your phone model but you can try SOC (SuperOneClick) maybe it can help you hope soo

You don't need to install a custom ROM to root your device, but you do need a custom recovery. See here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1415223.

For Galaxy Fit, use this attached zip file. U need stock samsung recovery. So, goto recovey, select "apply update from sdcard" & then select upd_1.zip file. Place this file in /sdcard (for easy access in recovery).
I used this only.
Hope this helps!!!
Press thnks if i deserve!!

Well! I don't know whether it can be done via CWM recovery...
By the way, to avoid any mishap, u can flash stock samsung Gingerbread 2.3.6 firmware for GT-S5670 from www.samfirmware.com & then root it again. Stock firmware has stock recovery(obviously!! )

Hey I have a Sony live with walkman wt19i.

I want to root my phone
Install rage kernel
Install cwm
Install real ics v6
I don't have root access
My bootloader is locked
Ics 4.0.4 stock rom
431 build
Help
Sent from my WT19i using xda app-developers app
Mate you can't flash any custom kernel
If you have locked bl
Unlock your bl if you want that
However rooting can be done without unlocking bl
Just search for your device specific steps to be followed for rooting!
Good luck
And cwm installation needs root
Btw real ics works for locked bl too
So just root
Install cwm
And flash the Rom via cwm

Ok I unlocked my bootloader now how to root by install rage kernel

First make sure you have at least 1gb free space on your internal storage/ ext card.
Then boot to cwm and make backup from there.

It depends whether the phone has an unlocked bootloader. ;P
For example my Miro's BL can't be unlocked so I can't install cm 10..which obviously sucks.
So what I wanted to say is that you have to check if your bootloader is locked or unlocked.

OP yes check the Development threads and run/test for yourself.
