Has anyone heard of a Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G. One of my lines is available for upgrade and this is one of the phones available.

Maybe this question would have been received better in the general android forum. Plus your initial post made it seem like you were unsure if it was legit or not.

Hey everyone, I recently traded my Galaxy Nexus for the GS3 and normally, I get right down to the rooting/unlocking/flashing process, however one thing has been holding me back. The gentleman that I traded my device with worked directly for Samsung and said that the GSIII that he was giving to me, was in fact a development testing device only given out to employees. I was wondering if there is a way to verify this as I know that this could be a potential gateway to future discoveries if this is in fact the case. If any of you have thoughts on this then please share. I've been itching to scratch this flashing bug of mine -_-
Could you post a screen shot of your device "about section"

This is what a test phone from HTC looks like.
If this person's claims are true, you should go to the IRC and chat with the devs there.
They could possibly find useful information before you get to using your device as normal- again, assuming this is true.
Yeah I think I'll do that. Will keep you guys posted if anything interesting comes from this

Does it have engravings on it? If not then I'm pretty sure it's just a normal device

How do you become a phone tester? I've always wondered because that would be sick (I'm assuming that's how you got them).

It might be possible since they both have similar touchwiz framework.

Are the specs for it demanding? Don't see why not since it came in an update for that phone.
The S3 is more than capable of handling it IMHO.

And Apple sued Samsung for apparently copying the design of the iPhone. I thought I was looking at an iPhone with Android on it.

This kind of comment is NOT going to net you anything but flaming.
Had you of read the rules you would have seen that questions do not belong in the "general" section they go in ...wait for it...."Questions and Answers".
Imagine that!

Have you tried looking at the forums for phones you might be interested in, then comparing the most active ones that way?
Actually doing things for yourself can be quite rewarding.
