[Q] Scrolling Problem in Jelly Bean

I've been having issues ever since I've updated to Jelly Bean where the scrolling has become very annoying. I'm on Bruce's Jelly Bean ROM and when I scroll quickly (by swiping multiple times in quick succession) sometimes the scrolling will just come to a dead stop all of a sudden, as if the list tripped. I've tried many different CPU settings to no avail, and honestly the phone runs perfectly smooth save for this hiccup. The only instance I can find of this elsewhere is with the galaxy nexus on jelly bean... some users seem to be running into a similar issue, though I'm not sure if it's related. There's been speculation that it has something to do with Jelly Bean predicting touches.
Does anyone have any info on this for me? Any fixes? I've tried all of the developer options... and show screen touches shows me that the phone is registering my motions perfectly. I'm stumped, and it's quite annoying.
Have you tired a full wipe and fresh install? I too am running jelly bean but a different rom. I've not had that issue but sometimes a fresh install helps with little bugs. Just wondering if you tired that yet? Are you sure it's rom related a and not device related? Have you tired running a different rom just to check to make sure the issue isn't related to the device? If issue is still present on a different rom it could be that the problem is related to the device instead of the rom. Do some experiencing and find out if it's the rom or your device. If it's rom related do try the fresh install and see if it helps. Can't hurt to try.. I hope you get your issue resolved soon. Best wishes.

I'm fairly sure it's the ROM. I have restored a nandroid backup to CM9 and it doesn't have the issue. I believe it's something in Jelly Bean, maybe having to do with project butter. Everything runs very well on the phone save for this issue. I'll try wiping this morning. Thanks for the reply!
I'm running paranoid Android which is also jelly bean. I don't have that issue at all. If the clean install does not fix the issue maybe try another jelly bean rom like paranoid Android. It's really been surprisingly stable and I use as daily driver. I've had no issues at all with it. Perhaps give it a try and see what you think. I really like it. It's fast and smooth and it's been really reliable.

[Q] Which kernel is best for my ROM? (wifi issue)

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1779133
I just flashed this lovely ROM, but my wifi refuses to turn on correctly. The slider flashes between on and off rapidly. After searching this forum, I found that I should install the recommended kernel for this ROM. However, after much searching, I cannot find which kernel is best.
I tried installing a few, but the problem persists. Anyone know which kernel is required?
Best way to check is to try.. Have you tried katkernel? So far only one I've tried with zero wifi issues, I'm on cm10 though

GPS-related crashes with liquidsmooth 2.5

Hi. I'm experiencing a problem with the GPS on liquidsmooth 2.5. Starting any application using the GPS(google maps, camera with location tags enabled) causes the phone to reboot. I haven't seen any fix for that problem on the liquidsmooth thread(although others mentioned the same problem), and I've already tried a full wipe and reflashing the ROM.
Thanks for any help!

I've experienced the same issue. With 2.4, it was the launcher (nova). With 2.5, it's definitely gps. Had to nandroid back to a more stable rom.

[SOLVED] Galaxy S3 Camera Not working (OLD problems no fix)

hello, i love my galaxy s3 and even more because i took the leap and rotted and I am running on roms. My favorite rom is cyanogenmod but I have never gotten the camera to work on it with anything greater than cm10.0. I am currently running AOKP which allows the camera to work which is awesome too but i would love to go back to CM. I have searched for hours but never found a solution that worked. I tried flashing a file that some around this forum and other forums have said fixed the CM camera issue but that did not help. If anyone know of a fix so i could use CM10.1 or CM 10.2 I would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
Have you tried a clean install of CM 10.2? I haven't had any issues with my camera running any custom rom.
Does it work at all, or are you just missing some feature?

I have not tried a clean install. I will try that when I get a chance. The camera sometime opens and I can zoom in and out a few seconds but then it freezes and the phone restarted. Also, other times the camera open to a black screen and freezes and the phone restarts. It really sucks This is the only issue I am having with CM and why I switched to another rom.
Doing a clean install fixed the problem. Thank you so much for your help. I would like to mark this thread as SOLVED but i do not know how. Hopefully an admin can do this.

[Q] Lag for ~2 minutes after boot

Even after re flashing ROMs, wiping dalvik cache, using ART, and using different ROMs/kernels, I always get a very noticeable lag (as if I use the powersave CPU governor) for around two minutes, until it suddenly becomes smooth...
I have heard this is a common problem, but I have not as of yet found a solution. Does anyone know what could be the cause?
Are you running stock, or a custom ROM? I haven't heard the problem on stock, but it's listed in the OP of many ROM threads as a known problem

That's a known issue.
Any current fix?
You can try restricting some startup apps which starts automatically after boot

Same problem here! I'm pleased there is someone else with the same issue as me! I've also tried many different ROM's, but the problem still persists. It's really annoying because it didn't used to happen, the problem only started when i swapped ROM's a couple of times. I am now using Carbon ROM, which didn't used to have this problem, but for some reason the issue is now present upon reinstallation over the standard US 4.4 Kitkat ROM.

Well, everybody who uses a CM based ROM has this issue. If it gets fixed in CM's source, all the other ROMs will have it fixed, too
@TheBananaz: you said it was a known issue, so do the developers know the cause of the regression?
All of the roms I have tried on our device does this. Not really sure why :/

I'm not sure if they know why, but I can guarantee they're working hard to figure out why
I have lag on all roms apart from stock and slimkat.
this has been discussed in most of the threads relating to CM based roms, it's a well known issue
Is it posted in the official cyanogenmod ROM thread?
flash liquidsmooth it's a great rom and don't have that issue
