Any safe way to root Motorola Xoom2 ME with ICS 4.0.4?

For rooting, just follow the steps under "Root Method - Ice Cream Sandwich". There is no need to flash a custom recovery if all you want is to enjoy root access, so no need to follow the steps under "Bootstrap [Custom Recovery]".

With the upcoming potential ICS update this month I was wondering how I unroot to a current UK/WW rom.
I can only find ways to do it with US roms :-(

I've tried 3 4.0.4 roms and ever since I first flashed CM9 4.0.4 a few of my apps won't work. Most important app would be Tapatalk Beta 4.

Can xoom 2 roms be used on a xyboard since they both or same family and almost similar hardware (not sure about that though)
my xyboard was upgraded to ICS by this method - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1750811
wondering since there is no custom recovery yet is it possibel to port a xoom2 rom to XYboard?
Please help me understand.

Since this post has been moved to the proper section now.
Still no sights of any Developer who might be interested in porting a ROM from Xoom 2. or it is not possible at all.
Have searched XDA and google.. cant seem to find anything relevant
