[Q] Battery Life -- what´s the best ROM?-- - LG Optimus 3D

Hi Guys
I´ve already tried these Roms:
* ThiaiZ O3D
* Acura Team 3D Max
* NovAndroid
* The Promethius Project
And all of them give me about the same time of battery life, but I still think it drains too fast. I expect at least 20 hours life, with normal use, but it won´t get to 14 hours, with very low use.
In your own experience, taking into acount, we all use the phone for different purposes....
Which ROM (Kernel?) do you think has the best Battery Life ?
:good:

Mine is the best!! for battery drain with no overclock is perfect....
Sent from my LG-P920 by ChupaLeaks 0.9.0 using xda app-developers app

it is mostly KERNEL properties. the best battery live has The Promethius but the voltages on some stages are so low that i get WIFI problems on wake up. so I stick with Acura speed V2 1300MHz. V1 has higher voltages (still much lower than stock kernel) and it is more stable. Depend on how good are your chips inside - just luck.

Ok, so i´m planning on testing Acura , but which one has better battery life V1 or V2. I really need those extra battery hours, rather than very fast general performance.
Thanx a lot p-vlad.

[Q] Which kernel to use with MIUI for best battery life

I was just wondering which kernel would be good to use on the NS with an MIUI rom for battery life? Been switching between Trinity's TUV10 and Matr1x's 10.5 and 9.5 cfs.
I usually get around 20-24 hours usage once it's off the charger. My usage is moderate... I listen to music for about an hour a day, check the news for about 15 mins.. a few texts and usually no calls.
Any of you guys out there using an MIUI rom but is setup more towards battery life rather than performance?
Thanks!
hardly archive that... MIUI is battery killer
i use franco , pretty good , you should have tried it , but latest version has not good battery life as before , hope it will improve...
------
personal advice , why don't you buy an additional battery ... then you won't have to worry battery life anymore
better yet , use 2G instead of 3G when you check up the news
Matr1x 11.0 man
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
Woah didn't know 11.0 was out already.
Thanks for the update.
Btw amazing kernel you have there
Sent from my Google Nexus S using XDA App
It would be nice to see a comparison of NS kernels (on the same conditions, of course)
I think i'll check your ROM in the next days, mathkid95
Now using matrix 11.0 cfs, 800/100 smartassv2, disabled deep idle. Performance is still pretty good and battery life has increased by a few hours

Overclock eat much alot battery?

Dear all,
Is it a must that OC will consume much alot battery?
I am currently using Thiaiz V21a without OC, before tried the OC of Thiaiz and Accura V5 OC 1.18,, seems the battery drop much faster when OC..even it feel faster but not consistantly stable at all.
HOw about Accura V6.1 oc? Would it consume much alot battery?
You know the battery is not good at all so dont want to add burden to the battery by oc.
Thanks~

Oc'ed cpu eats more battery but not much coz we dont able to increase voltage yet, cpu runs at ref. Voltage.
Next point, the cpu runs on diffrent frequencies, matter of its using, a lot of time at 300 mhz.
Take more attention that custom roms has many tweaks to increase performance, so it's maybe battery killer.

Nice time.

seems like OC wont affect the battery time much.
i just tried acura V6 but have to give up at last because of reboots and inconsistantly fast (sometime fast. sometime lag)...
have to go back to ThiaiZ no oc which satisfy my need on ordinary usage without annoying and not too slow
anyway, all the development guys are great, without them we are still living with the suck official rom~

Can you teach me how to use for 27 hrs?
for me max. 6-8 hrs for normal usage with keeping screen on/off and 2.75G signal or wifi on.
If in sleep time it drop about 15% for 7 hrs. (2%/hr)
It deppends
It deppends of the over clock and how is it made.
I've got mine overclocked and i haven't noticed a big difference between the stock clock and the new one.
Got mine at: 1188mhz tekahuna occ module.
Regards
i use acura v6 o/cd to 1230 and have not faced much battery issue. Well maybe cuz i have a charger in my car, one cable plugged in my home pc, one charger near the main TV, one charger at my bedside and one cable plugged to my notebook in office LOL. Since the cable is standard one so i had all these extras from N900, and other old nokia.

Off course it will consume more battery, faster clock speed, means faster battery down.
But I think I found something. I freeze all the com.lge.xxx, saved 50% of my battery. Except the com.lge.hiddenmenu, don't freeze it!! U won't be able to open the settings menu.
U have to use paid titanium backup to be able to freeze apps.

Faux's or Trinity?

Im sort of confused which I should pick. Im currently using faux's 0.13 kernal for stock @1. 4 ghz. Which kernal is the best when it comes to battery life, performance and stability?
Sent from my G2X
That's really unknown. This phone differs too much from one to another.
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
Okay, but what is your opinion?
Sent from my G2X
If your phone doesn't have issues with it, Trinity ELP is best for battery.
If your phone SOD's, crashes, won't boot, etc... don't ***** to morfic, just try a different kernel. Any problems you have are typically due to a phone's incapability to use various settings, not the settings kernels themselves.
I just flashed trinity and when i booted into phoenixblood my phone freezes. I think I will be sticking with faux's kernal.
Sent from my G2X
I've tried them both, I just switched to Trinity I was running faux and the battery life was outstanding.. trinity seems to preform a smidge better I think? But unsure on battery life yet, but seems to be worse on the battery so far.
+1 trinity

Will fauxs stock/gb kernel work on weapon 3.0 ?
The only reason I stay on faux and don't bother to try other kernels is because faux allows me to play plants vs zombies on any rom .
There was a post in the general section on a Trinity vs faux benchmarkings.
Trinity won over every test they had, but only by a little.
I believe performance wise, Trinity is better, though some prefer faux.
Your choice.

Ya that's what im using right now. I dont know I cannot stand CM based ROMS.

Well i said trinity earlier. My gf flashed phoenixbloods v6 yesterday with faux123 kernel and its noticibly faster.

i'm running oyasumi kernel (based on faux123, undervolted and overclocked) with tsugi, and i get amazing battery life. 2-3 hours of use with max brightness and the battery barely went down to 95%.
Trinity for performance & Faux for battery life.... But honestly in my experience, trinity isn't sacrificing much battery life but you gain much better performance. I prefer Trinity TD158 oc'd to 1500. Best performance with better than stock battery life... Just try em all out, thats half the fun of flashing!

I've played with all the various kernels, and I agree with tokentatortot..
At least for my phone:
CM7 stock is decent all around, and better than the stock kernels.
Trinity T15 for maximum overclocking and max performance ( Quadrant over 5000)
Faux123's 0.48 is faster than stock, better battery life than Trinity and also slower than trinity.
Currently using PhoenixBlood 1.6 (Faux v.48 stock clock ) + V6 super charger.
I guess I'm not heavy duty user, as v6 supercharger does not seem to make things majorly different..
oddly, on my phone, the faux123 0.48 SV seems to have better battery life than faux123 0.48 UV kernel... go figure.

What is the battery of miui v10???

Can anyone told me that what about the battery of miui v10??
Basically my display was on for 80% of the time of about 9 hours (just leaving it on the webpage and sometimes browsing the web) and had 18% battery from 100% battery. That's pretty good IMHO. Smoothass+deadline 300-1000mhz. I'm surprised smoothass allowed my battery to last
Cheers

I remember that magical day in my life. when I was using jp_miui_v9 with battery lasted for 1day13hr and still 5-6% left. I did some tweaks in build.prop (ro.ril.power.collapse = 0) like this line. I changed its value from 1 to 0. Cause I read that in some recent thread about build.prop tweaks in our phone forum.
Next day gm released last version of miui and I flashed it, but right now my battery lasts almost 10-12 hours. I havent checked build.prop yet.
And ah yes., I was on 1.0ghz max , 300 mhz min and onDemand governer with noop i/o schedular.
Miui already includes power colapse in the build.prop to increase the battery life.
ro.ril.power.collapse = 0
No necessary modify them.

Thanks i use data mostly in this phone and i guess it really drains battery life very fast. I hope i get a bit more batt life like 2-4 hrs more using that setting thanks again
EDIT: I have no bfq option in vurrut kernel#1. I only have cfq, sio and noop. Which one should i choose?

Supreme Sense Daily :Scheduler and Governor?

I am using my Supreme Sense on my shift. It gets a bit laggy after a couple days. I do have a 16gb sdcard in it. However, I thought I would ask if anybody has some decent no lag settings for this ROM.
Try using a cache cleaner or seeder

I would normally run Smartass V2 / SIO . OC'd to about 1350mHz. Those settings along with DS Battery Saver would get me some really good performance, and great battery life.

Thanks, that is extremely handy info. I haven't found a phone I prefer to this one, so any advice on roms and settings will be well-used for a few more years.
