New hidden world clock feature - ANDROID'S NEWEST EASTER EGG! - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

Ok first things first, I have a AT&T Samsung GS2 Skyrocket (US). Updated it a few months ago to the long awaited but crappier ICS; left lots of GB crumbs........ Anyways, may or may not work on other devices, but tried on Samsung Galaxy S3 and it worked also (both of which are on the ICS boat):
* Pull down the notification bar. Double-tap your regular ol' analog clock on the top right. *
BOOM - World clock pop-up like the one you'd find on Android's new tablets! Somewhat irrelevant use for me, but still a new Android Easter Egg!!!!
I might be coming late to the party & I've just never heard of this, or I might of just discovered something new. But I have to give thanks to the 3 yr old who managed to make it appear and who, ultimately, managed to make my jaw drop... SMH kids these days

Can this be done with HTC phones?
I like the concept. It's about time, we can get a picture of our own phone/mp3 player on the screen, color included. Itunes has only done that for about 4 versions now.
Here is the link to the developer kit: http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/device/DeviceExperience/Dev-Kit.mspx
Which I assume will never get utilized by phone manufacturers, since Microsoft is leaving it up to them. Maybe for the newest ones.
Nice article about it: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2354491,00.asp
If there is a place likely to develop these custom .xml profiles before waiting for the phone companies to do it, XDA seems like the place.
Any takers on cooking these profiles up? 1 Vote for the Tilt.

I've gone through a few phones recently and many of them already do this in WMDC but I suspect you need a manufacturer that can be bothered. In fact, I remember my tosh g900 doing this a couple of years ago.

Interesting tidbit regarding Qik Video chat update and Gingerbread G2x??

So I just updated Qik Video chat and went into the Market description to see what's changed and I see that it says "Added support for new devices (LG Star GB, HTC Sensation).....!?!?!?
The alias for the G2x is the Star am I right??
It's interesting that it's being called a new device, maybe they're getting ready to stock units with GB pre-installed?

thats so funny i was just about to post that. so ITS NEAR but its not here! damn you LG! if i have no update in 1 week HELLO GALAXY s 2!
Lol it must've been a mistake to put that on there considering that they haven't made any official statements and know how ferociously we're all anticipating the update.

Maybe when they relaunch the phone they're going to rebrand it in some way so that it's extremely obvious that it now has Gingerbread. Just noticed that the G2x has disappeared from Amazon Wireless, which is where I purchased mine.
Well not disappeared, but no longer being sold at all.

[IDEA FOR APP] - Inventory/refrigerator/more organizer

Hi,
I've been thinking a lott about an app and have been searching for something to fit my idea but I can't find it...
I hope that I post this idea in the right forum...
The "problem":
Often when i'm in a market i don't have a clue how many toiletpapersrolls i've got, how many fries there are in the freezer, how many shampoo there stands in my bathroom, etc..
Since i live alone it's easy to mark an banana less when I'm eating one, Note that i've one bottle shampoo less when it's empty, etc...
The idea:
A list with food/products/whatever it is that you want to organize and simply want an overview off.
I came with this idea since i bought an house over a year ago and from time to time i need to throw away food that's expired.
I know that there are a lott of shopping-list apps but not a clear one that show's what you've got in stock.
How it could look in my opinion:
A list with certain collums that you can sort: finch - product - catergory - date - notes - more?

[Q] DangerOS Launcher

So recently, as in the last 2 years or so, I've been feeling very nostalgic. I had the Sidekick 2, 3, LX, 2008, 2009 and 4G (briefly, awful device). While mobile obviously has come a long way with Android (where I naturally went to the G1 after the downfall of DangerOS), I often miss the simplicity of the Danger / Hiptop / Sidekick UI. I've scoured the internet and haven't been able to find anything the emulates or mimics the functionality. Specifically the home / launcher with the radial scroll wheel and different screens dependent on what position you are on the wheel.
Anybody know of something I don't know about or am missing? I'd be willing to fork over a handful of dollars if any of the genius developers want to throw this together.

This has the radial wheel thing and also switches apps that are open. Maybe that helps? Good luck
Thanks, nice app, but not quite.
