When do you think the nexus prime will become cheap. Many Android devices gets cheaper after 2 months...so when will the next nexus be around $400?

Retail price? That wont drop for a long long time if ever. Subsidized will eventually drop but even then this phone will be top of the pack for a while and wont drop in price until higher end phones are released or sales are slow.

I could care less if there is an "official release" of ICS for the ns4g. I know I will have it on my phone. Thank you XDA.

I'm pretty sure retail price won't go down that quick especially seeing how the Nexus S held its own for a while. Price will probably be a good factor against the iPhone 4S though...

Higher end phones have been released the HTC one x, Samsung quad core galaxy $3 (international as USA gets duel core cause of late) so yes their are better phones then nexus.

Note is nice but I personally think its too big. I see it more of a business phone, not personal at all.

I had the note briefly and LOVED it, returned it cause there wasnt a stable modem/radio for us Tmo users...if this is true, im 100% back!!

I still haven't had time to play with a Note yet, but its intriguing to say the least. It definitely looks a bit too large to use as an everyday phone but I'll give it a shot at least

You probably will be happier with the s3, it will be the next Gen phone.
Get the note if you need a tablet phone or high Res screen for more icons on the app drawer or something. I'm gonna wait for the s3 just because of the flagship and the proper balance of features and size and weight

My uncle has the international version so I've had the opportunity to work on this device here and there. Using it daily really doesn't wind up feeling a ton bigger than the t989, only problems I've experienced are certain apps can't figure out if it's a tablet or a phone, so there's a fair amount of compatibility issues, but it's very slick.

But, and a big but, that phone is a Gen behind the s3

With the whole Motorola takeover, Google should soon have enough patents to do some damage to Apple. Why don't these companies just put their money towards making better equipment to compete with, instead of all these lawyer fees to just ban the competition..it's pathetic. And our patent system is just retarded for even granting Apple these bulls**t patents in the first place.

LOL Apple patent trolling is cute. Android isn't just a 3rd party OS anymore (if ever). Let's remember that Android is Google's baby, as one of the comments under the link suggested. In what world is Apple going to "dominate" Google? Android, a small part of Google, is in competition with Apple. Studies also suggest Android is "finally" more popular and more used than iOS and its devices. Obviously if Android fell, Apple would rule the world...but this is all hypothetical on a thesis that Android is its own company, not belonging to one tech giant- Google.
Also if Google/Android do struggle, so do Samsung, HTC, Motorola (the part not owned by Google), LG, etc. At the end of the day it's Apple vs. all of these companies

Well i have this friend who is currently employed by samsung and the other day he was back home and i went over there and he showed me on his compiter the design and specs of the galaxy s4.
Now i cannot say much but one thing caught my eye in the courner of the spevs iy said 5g enabked...
Now is 5g coming out next year? Or is that just an off projection?

When the S3 was being worked on, a man wouldn't tell his his wife or his kids what the S3 would be like in fear of losing his job
In addition, samsung probably does all their designing of their flagships at HQ, which is korea. They also only have their top workers, and even then they made 3 galaxy S3s so that no worker would know if they were making the reall S3 or not.
Also, with many companies not even rolling out 4G LTE yet (which is pretty much 5G anyway), there is no way 5G is coming out anytime soon

No. First of all, you don't live in Korea where it would be designed.
Second, since it is being released next year, they want a CPU of that generation which is not yet available, so we can't know the specs.
Third, he wouldd probably have lost his job by now since you have just told the world about it.
Fourth, any work on Samsung's flagships would be in a secret room guarded by secret people in a secret file, NOT on his computer where it could easily be hacked.
Just face it, your friend is just BSing you or trying to impress you.

Why can you not accept the fact that it is not true?
All big Samsung employees LIVE in Korea. That IS their home.
And if you knew anything about Samsung, they do NOT try to leak things. I even told you, to protect the secret of the Galaxy S3, they made 3 DIFFERENT models, and the designers thought they were making the real version when really it was one of the other 2 models. The Galaxy S3 had NO leaks because of this secrecy.
300 people? More like 30 in TOTAL. With 10 working on each phone, 20 are working on a fake phone, and 10 working on the real one. Once again, they don't know which is real or not.
And I'm going to smack the claim of 5G off too, because they don't llist specs as "4G LTE" or "5G." They would say the bands, like 900/1700/2100 MHz (that was an example).

I think this is hands down one of the stupidest threads I've ever seen. There isn't going to be a 5g, because 4g itself hardly exists on most carriers. And there's no way in hell it'll have a bigger screen than the note 2.

And Samsung would NEVER release details of the S4. They kept the S3 such a secret, if you read my article a few posts back.
And you still haven't come up with a reason why my points are invalid. All you said was he works for Samsung... well I work for Motorola and they're releasing the Motorola Atrix Bionic Droid RAZR 5G LTE GSM unlocked. I think what most people on XDA have taken exception to is HTC's complete disregard for GPL compliance. Locked bootloaders and partial source code (if any) abound. It's not that the devs don't like a challenge, it's just that they take offense to a company going out of their way to block them and completely disregard the law.

I want the S4 simply because I've basically had every Galaxy made by samsung. I had to sell my S3 but I loved the way it felt, and from the reviews I've heard of the S4, it feels even better so going off of that and all of the cool features it has I want it!

The HTC One phone looks cool, HTC Sense looks good.

with recent court rulings about patents not worth as much as they initially thought, I would imagine Google is ready to cut their losses on this one

The one's build quality is too premium to pass and the s4's features seem more like gimmicks
