Hi all,
I'm new to this rooting and installing custom rom thing. I rooted my transformer using 1 click tool, installed CWM Rogue something.. installed Custom rom paranoid android 2.xx which is almost the same as cynamogen10 i think, and installed gapps.. now i have my play store working everything is working except i can't access my micro sd card and when docked and ext usb is plugged it won't read.
Could you advise on this? Did I miss important steps in the process ? It's kinda annoying that the tablet is performing much better now but it loses some essential functiionality such as reading ext drive.

Hi all.
I have a rooted Kindle Fire Running the latest CM7 that I grabbed from this site. I have two quick questions, if I may.
I know that once rooted an running CM7 Windows does not recognize the tablet for usb mass storage unless you take some steps and since I chose the option of the command in terminal emulator, I had to redo it when I restarted the tablet to show my buddy TWRP 2.0 and now I can't find that command anywhere. Can anyone point me to it?
Also since the Fire only comes with a 5GB partition as the SD card I wanted to Format and clean it and start fresh on it. any one know if that will mess with TWRP or CM 7 at all. I don't mind if I lose everything else because I have neglected adding many apps while I tinker with it.
I just had a thought. Since the SD Card is not technically an SD card and is Just a partition(correct me if I'm wrong), Then using TWRP to wipe it may wipe everything. Anyone done this?
Call me OCD but I'm worried about the storage and would love to get rid of anything not needed.
Or does anyone think I can just remove all of the folders accept for my backup folder? none seem to have much of anything in them. I think most were put there by the Stock Rom.
Nevermind on the usb thing. I got that confused with the ICS rom I flashed to my DX. All I had to do was select USB mass storage on the Fire.
But does anyone know if I can format my SD card with out ruining TWRP or the ROM?
Well, I had a bit of a stupid moment. I Inherited a G2X from a friend of mine, and, of course, my first instinct was to install Jelly Bean from. First off, I never made a backup of my previous data, and second, I botched an install.from the eaglesblood. I forgot to install the GApps, leaving me without the play store. Not much of a problem until I realized that the ROM wasn't reading or mounting my SD card. So, I cannot download the USB Mounting app because it requires an sd card, and that I can't install GApps because I have no way to move files from the computer and I have no way to download the app directly to the phone to install the GApps. Help me?
EDIT: I used clockworkmod recovery 5.0.2.0
If you have an SD reader on your pc , take the SD card out of the phone and load a different rom or gapps that way (in the proper folder or remember where u put it to access it)... Then replace SD card in the phone and flash via cwm.

Ah-ha! I just took an older phone, and mounted it on there to transfer the files. Thanks for the help, though.
Hi all,
I have in the past install cyanogenmod 10.1 via Clockwork Recovery Mod. I was "playing" around and basically I am stuck on "Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1" (formatting things in Recovery.....I know stupid!)
Most ROMS seem to suggest installing via Clockwork by copying the files over to the SD card, I am a little lost because I cannot even boot to android and Clockwork doesn't seem to allow USB storage (not sure if it was designed to).
I assume I can flash cyanogenmod again using ODIN? If so how would I go about doing this? Download mode is working fine so fingers crossed you guys can help.
Many thanks!!!!!

If download mode is working, why not just download the original rom for your tablet - get back to stock, and start over ? Not sure if your formatting may have changed something - I would feel more comfortable flashing back to stock with ODIN, and starting my rooting / upgrading / flashing from a solid / stock base.
Just my .02 cents
Good luck, and hopefully someone will jump in with a more useful option
Regards,
You can switch your internal and external storage, so your tablet thinks everything on your sd card is your internal storage. This way you should be able to access your internal storage again (unless your phone doesn't even give you the option to select internal storage). You can do this with the Link2SD app. Besides, this way your internal storage has more space too.

Hey all so I'm running 4.4.2 deodexed rooted with xposed, etc, etc. I went from rooted 4.1.2 to kitkat last month buy route of flashing deodexed 4.4 with partition flash and was able to keep root. Using Philz recovery ive always installed "clean to install new rom" but looking at the files and apps, etc now i have to much junk in internal memory/root of the sd card on my phone. I have a partitioned sd card. And basically ive flashed from backups. Tested and ran scripts, deleted scripts. Ive done alot so i need to delete the unused junk off my phone but not sure what to delete or what steps to use in Philz recovery. My main worry is loosing my supersu/root and messing up the partitioned sdcard. If i loose root on my phone the process of re rooting while on kitkat is extreme involving booting pc from a usb drive or cd and running virtual machine, etc etc. So i cant loose that. I do have backups on pc and 1 back up of my current rom on external sd card. I have Philz Recovery and link2sd.
Thanks
Josh
Dear fellow Infiniteers,
My name is Hans and I come from Holland.
3 years ago I got my tf700t. It was unlocked and rooted and had a ww_epad-10.6.1.14.8-20130514 bootloader, original TWRP 2.8.7.0 and Cromi-Xenogenesis ODEX 4.7.0 OS and a 16Gb SD-card in the tablet (not dock). The device was so slow that I didn't use it for several months. Ofcoarse the batteries where empty and after charging the tf700t went in a bootloop. On my search on internet I found this great forum, after many hours of reading I managed to flash Android 7.1.2., I lost root but after using Towelroot_V1 I even got root back. Now everything works fantastic. It seems to be an whole other device, Thank you so much developers. I understood it was essential to setup an adb connection, so I did.
I still have to convert my internal memory to F2FS, but need to read more before doing it. This puzzels my a lot. Also I would like a TWRP version that also can handle the dock-SD card, because I want that particular place to keep my backups, flashrom and other flash.zip files.
Now my Questions are:
Should I upgrade my bootloader?
1 For converting internal to F2FS or something else? And
2 Why should I install Kang-TWRP? wich needs 14.10. so I can use the dock sd card for zip's and backups?
Thanks to anyone who reacts.
