nope its pretty much amazing at this price and also performance wise...
hit thanks if i helped.

this is a cool phone everything is great in this phone except ram

Good phone is every aspect, expect a few features
I recently bought this phone. It's great in most aspects, but here are a few things that bug me the most:
1. The GPS issue is seriously bugging new users. While it can be fixed with rooting, many new users won't certainly like to go through that tedious process just to get Maps working.
2. The Headphone button is of no use, for FM radio or music app.
3. The stock ROM's music player isn't handy at all. They should have included some better thing.
4. Battery could have been improved a bit.
5. The low RAM issue as told by many people don't haunt me much, because I don't use it for gaming.
6. The dual-Flash isn't that good.
7. In terms of sensors, this phone sucks. No gyro, no magnetic sensor, and as such, no compass. This is especially difficult for navigation, because even if you manage to get it working, you'll have to depend on displacement or orientation for your arrow. Haven't even got that even once.
Other than these, the phone is good.

I am also a user...But can anyone help to make a custom from for this...I am almost dead tried making it..But while flashing errors..

there are many guides there for making custom roms just donwnload dsixda kitchen and start editing stock rom(just minor editing).

Just another rebranded phone
Micromax has just rebranded Mobitel's cynus T2 ! also, the OEM claims that it has a 12MP camera, by insalling the OEM's ROM you can get a 12MP Rear cam. So, yes. the phone is awesme, micromax need not be praised though

[Q] Which is better Micromax a75 or samsung galaxy y

Both devices hav descent features
like micromax a75 has
larger screen
dual sim
front cam and 3mp camera
but while in samsung galaxy y
it has brand name
832mhz processor
larger 290 mb ram
i m so much confused between these cell phones
i have normal use of phone
and also some games and want most of app should run on device and multitasking is important
plz help me i m so much confused......
thanks in advance
do quick reply guys.
Wrong question
questioin should be like this micromax or spice mi 350n
just a joke.
samsung is a big brand with no front camera no flash small screen but youwill have good accessories with it like screen guard etc
spice mi 350 value for money have everything that micromax has but with no flash for camera and less around 1000 rs. spice with auto focus and better video recording 480p with 30fps but micromax has 15fps{don't no about video size, nobody tells}
using spice for more than two week. ask any specific question or else just google,
dapeng a75 and galaxy
which is micromax a75. Supposed you are talking about DAPENG A75 phone. It is 5", large touch screen with ANDROID 4.0 ICS os. I found a place to see that phone: TOTHEBARN dot COM
One thing buddy
Samsung is a brand..
And i don't know about your area but in especially in India after support of micromax just doesn't exist just Google about micromax after service problem you will know.
So if you want to buy a mobile and you think your mobile is made by gods hand which will never get damage than go for micromax..
Go for galaxy y i m using it since 1.5yr with no fault
we all should be polite enough to press thanks for anyone who helped US.
how you are convinced ??
may i know wat phone u have bought ?? and are you satisfied with that phone ??

AFAIK micromax phones(a50,a75,a87.....) when compared to sgy are far better in performance.
Hence choosing mmx is right in many ways...... except service

Xolo Q800 vs Micromax Canvas HD A116

These are two notable quad core phones under Rs 15,000. Here is a comparision of the phones based on their features.
Micromax Canvas HD A116, when it was launched earlier this year, was the first smartphone in India under Rs 15,000 to have a quad core processor. It was booked by many and is still in great demand.
Now Xolo, a brand of Lava International, has launched the Xolo Q800, which too has a quad core processor but costs almost Rs 1,500 less at just Rs 12,499 against Canvas HD's Rs 13,999. So is it wise to buy the Canvas HD now for Rs 13,999? Let's compare the features of the two Android smartphones. Read more:
http://www.themobileindian.com/news/11153_Xolo-Q800-vs-Micromax-Canvas-HD-A116
Why I bought the XOLO Q800 instead of the Micromax Canvas HD A116
The Micromax Canvas HD and the XOLO Q800 are equally great phones. I personally think that a 4.5" phone is still okay and fits properly in a pocket - at least that's the max I can live with considering everyday use.
As for PPI, 245 PPI on a XOLO Q800 is good enough compared to the 294 PPI on the Canvas HD.
The camera is considerably better thanks to the BSI (or w.e sensor) on the XOLO Q800. Of course the Canvas HD has a 2 MP front camera.
And finally the build. Well, guys, I think the XOLO Q800 pawns the Micromax Canvas HD in terms of looks. Anyday!
Will be back with some great screenshots once my friend buys the same cell next month!
Nice info
but i think micromax canvas hd is well known in youngsters compare to XOLO Q800. what u say?
Please dont buy these devices... I personally dont trust both of them...my friend bought xolo 4 months ago and It is in problem right now..
And micromax is worst one... And these companies are not so much xda supported devices and dont ask about hardware quality

Time will tell buddy.
But i've seen many people using a Micromax. They don't usually go kaput unless mishandled.
Ultimately it's upto you how you handle the phone.

i have micromax a90 working well .... it is 8 months old ,,, i rooted it and installed MEGAMAX rom which shows it has dev support.
Xolo T1000
Between These Two I would Prefer Xolo for its Hardware..(Both have same s/w )
But i would suggest u to wait until xolo releases its T1000 and Q2000 models these are way better than these two...
Last Month of may is the speculated release...
Recently Q1000 launched by Xolo. This phone got very good editors rating. I can say this phone comes with really amazing features...
If you want proper dev support don't buy any of these.
Your choice.

GOCLEVER FONE 450 - 4,5" HD IPS, 1GHz dual core, 1GB, 5MPx budget Android smartphone

GOCLEVER FONE 450 - 4,5" HD IPS, 1GHz dual core, 1GB, 5MPx budget Android smartphone
GOCLEVER FONE 450 - new super cheap Android phone, 2-3 times cheaper even than the Google Nexus 4, but still offers 4,5 inch HD IPS screen, dual core CPU, GPS and all other features.
4,5" HD IPS-LCD 1280x720 pixels
MediaTek MT6577 1GHz (Dual Core Cortex A9, GPU SGX531)
1GB RAM
Android 4.1
5MPx camera, GPS, Accelerometer.
I bought this phone for my wife instead of Samsung Duo S (which was laggy beyond reasonable) and so far she's very satisfied with it (oh yes, it's white). The display is gorgeous for this price tag, the overall speed is also a nice surprise. I also like the management of the 2 SIM's.
The down sides are:
- the battery capacity
- localization (to Slovak language in my case)
- the tech support told me it should get Android 4.3, but no ETA and honestly I'm quite sceptic about that
- lack of documentation that would enable to root it and install custom recovery
- GPS acts funny - sometimes it takes even 10 minutes to get a fix, sometimes it's matter of a few seconds

I'm afraid not. I tried all ways I was able to find for this processor family without luck. I also wrote the official GoClever tech support but they only confirmed me the root is not available for this phone. Shame, this phone phone would deserve it.
Btw. I'm going to send mine for repair - there's something seriously wrong with the phone (gsm?) module. There's around 30% chance that I receive or make a call even if the phone is normally connected to the network. Really annoying.

Framaroot works flawlessly with ALL GoClever devices. Tested on 450Q, 570, Quantum 4, 400, 785 and Insignia 5 & 5X. Custom ROMs also work if you pay attention to the chipset.

I'll have to correct you a bit: it has an 8MPx camera (although it says 5 on it, it's a factory error) and it's a Quad-Core.
GPS is crap, there's a fix for that though.
I can provide original stock Android ROM and flashing tools per request. Used to be Goclever's product manager.

Best based on what??
If you are talking in terms of the hardware, then there is no comparison between the two as Canvas 2 surpasses it in every thing! These two mobiles are not exactly something to compare, they belong to two different class! Based on specs, Canvas 2 is Dual core while the HTC HD2 is a single core processor!
Depends if u r brand conscious or just go after quality and specs. Well canvas 2 beats htc in same price range.
And regarding canvas 2 ....i m completely satisfied wid performance and no lags at all.

MTK phones worth buying?

It is worthty as MTK Phones maker mostly didnt release update for its phone and mediatek itself didnt release source for its SoC.

Yes because it is feasible by economic means and in the means of performance.

Yes it worth it particularly if you are on a tight budget. And software updates are available for mtk devices as well.My xolo Q800 recently got an upgrade from 4.1 to 4.2. Micomax devices also gets their updates.
I have a xolo q800 (quad core,1gb ram,8mp camera and sensors like gyro, compass etc) got just under 10k Indian currency which can beat all other branded devices under this price tag in terms of performance. 1080p videos and most of the common games are running smooth. All thanks goes to the mediatek chip set.

most of the time it's uses in economic devices.... most of android economics devices never rec any updates from manufacturer..
if some one enthusiastic he may search unofficial update & can use them on own risk...

yes they..are but try to stick to brands like huawei and gionee..they atleaset have decent after sales service.. also as far mediatek goes.. go for the newer chipsets... mt6572, mt6582, mt6588 and mt6592.. they all pack in mali gpus,, that are optimized for a large majority of games.. this translates to really good performance.. if you are going to try HD gaming.. stick with mt6582 and upwards with 1gb of RAM.
Depends on your usage.
If you are on a tight budget, but want a worthwhile product which will atleast give you value for money, then mtk is pretty good.
However if you expect tons of development and/or superior after market support, then others would make more sense, more "worthy".
