Any idea how to get any boot animations to work with sound? I'm currently using the Aperture Science logo (files are here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13409912&postcount=6) which works fine except the sound that comes with it doesn't play.
Does anyone know of any good boot animation with sound in general?

Just change the sound file..
System/media > "PowerOn.ogg"
Changing this file should fix as long as your ROM supports it

I haven't seen any boot animations out there that really move me but since I got Beats Audio on my phone I'd like to have a matching boot animation. What I would like is to have the regular Motorola Dual Core logo come up first, then the pulsating Moto dual core logo, then the Beats Audio animation...once the phone vibrates to signaling the lockscreen is about to come up I'd like to see the Beats logo fade to black.
Anyone up to the task?
Here is the animation

I think it just needs to be modified to work on our phone. If anyone knows how to pull this off I'd greatly appreciate it.
Nevermind, I made one myself
Can I see it? I would love to test it

Downloaded volume + and
Dsp manager to boost the volume of the speaker. Volume + boosted it when I raised it to 15 or something. And then it stopped working. Then I downloaded dsp manager. And it does OK. But. I wanna keep it louder when I have it on. As I posted this. We don't have the boot loader unlocked. And I'm thinking a custom rom would help. But idk. Does anyone know what I should do

Go to the volume + forum. Androidaudiohacks. There is a sound file you also have to copy over to your system/etc folder for volume + to work well

So I applied that file n system ect. And rebooted the phone. And it gets louder but then gets really low again. Is there something else?

I've been using Volume+ for quite a while now, and it's worked great on every phone and os (gb+ics). I purchased the paid version because it has more features. I'm running Sick Sense. It's on level 12 and its pretty loud.

Seems the hack only works on some custom roms like app dev said. I'm on clean rom and it's not working with the nodded system files. I'm not sure it's completely optimized for ics sense of users anyway as many ppl in the app forum are reporting it not working properly.

Really? what was your setup like if you don't mind sharing?
I usually turn on a song then open volume + and play with the settings. Enable custom eq and play with the volume slider. It seems like you'll have to play with it to stick. Some levels don't make any change .

Poweramp ftw. The phone speaker equalizer setting is pretty loud and clear.

Thanks a lot !!
Thanks, man. Works great on CM10 - and I like the stock camera.
Where did you find this? Did you port it yourself? Either way thanks for bringing it to us!

Does that on SCv7 after cycling through back-front-back, not limited to CM10 in other words.
EDIT:Tried doing that again and it didnt FC this time around. Maybe cause I had the Razr M gallery app installed this time. One thing makes that makes it consistently FC is recording video in the lowest resolution settings. No big deal for me, I'm keeping it.
can not take pictures using flash the flash n capture of picture are not synced
Would this work for CM9? Or only CM10 builds?
EDIT: This is working flawlessly on my skyrockets official CM9 build.
Thanks!

Thanks poster,
And good job Moto, this version is faster, more exact
AND CAN SELECT YOUR OWN GALLERY VIEWER, HAHA
But there are some bugs on ICS 4.0.4 1st leak, video FC..
Bugs seen so far on cm10:
1. FFC FC in video mode
2. flash isnt synced with shutter.
also widescreen mode is at 4MP, before it was 6mp on ics/gb
Multishot mode is gone
shuttertone doesnt have a on/off option now.
the good thing is that you can select your Gallery and its working fine with 3rd party apps.
For anyone using this on wangg's CM10 are the images noisy ??

Works great with AOKP M1 on my Galaxy Note i717. Only thing that doesn't work is 1080 video recording. Output is distorted.

You need to be rooted..copy paste to system/app using root explorer after mounting system as r/w..then fix permissions as rw-r--r

Works like a charm on MagicMob CM10. THANK YOU!!!!!
Thanks
It is better than stock MagicMod. Also, camcorder works. but, the moment I stop the recording, it FCs., but , the video is still stored in SD card.
Always come back to this camera. Out of all of them this has to be my favorite.
Thanks.
Tested and working on six different devices!
walawei.., try it..:x
How can we get the sound going and is it different places for each ROM cuz I'm good to go for bootanimations but can't seem to get the sound active also so many threads with no responses and I'm on Viper 2.0 if that helps also just want the sound active for my Droid DNA boot

I thought the audio files could use some volume boost to better show off these sexy speakers
These are the default audio files which have been modded. This is NOT a system wide audio hack. For that check out Viper4Android.
This will overwrite files on /system/media/audio partition and should be flashed in recovery only.

Philz
Flashed it with Philz but didn't really notice any noticeable boost in sound after. My music still sounded more or less like it did before the flash with the volume cranked up to the max.
It's not to make your speakers louder but it makes your audio files themselves louder as in stock ringtones, alarms, ui, etc.

I also flashed in TWRP but it didn't do anything for me.
Not sure why some are saying no difference ... revert to stock play any one tone at full volume, then flash the mod and play again ... if you dont feel the difference, then this mod is not necessary for you anyways
Added new edited set ...this one has been bumped to Full Dynamic Range without causing any sound crackling (on some tones with 150%) on the speakers.
Think of it like 120% volume bump but all sounds stay withing a decibel limit to prevent crackling.
I think its better than the 150%

So, just to confirm, this only increases the audio output on UI, system notification and ring tones but will not boost the sound volume when playing music through the speakers, correct?
