Evernote Offline Sync on TPT - Thinkpad Tablet Themes and Apps

Does anyone know how to change the storage location of an offline evernote notebook to the external SD card or to the USB drive on our TPT? I searched on the EN forum but couldn't find anything. (Note: I'm not brave enough to root my tablet.)

Play music from USB

I am trying to do what I thought was the most basic task but I am failing. I have some albums on a USB stick stuck into the dock that I would like to play. I have tried stock, PowerAMP, WinAMP but nothing works. The best I can do is to browse via File Manager and select a track but this will only play 1 track. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.
try ubermusic?
Also maybe bind mount your flash drive to the sdcard (Google it)

Yeah, easiest is to double-mount the drive to a folder on the sd, but you'll need the Android Media Scanner to reindex before it will show up.
There must be a music player that lets you set the home folder...
Instead of a usb stick use a sd card and card reader? Some of those are freaking small. I got a really tiny sdhc card reader that I carry around in my bag just in case someone elses laptop doesn't have a sdhc reader.

And besides that, sd cards are cheaper then usb flash drives I think

All of my USB drives are now tiny USB card readers with MicroSD cards. Before I had that, I had a USB SD card reader that was slightly larger than a normal thumb drive. Maximum flexibility is my motto.
But it is a ridiculous shortcoming that you can't just plug a USB stick in and have it work the way it does on any PC. I dunno if it's Android, developers like Winamp or the Transformer, but its an absurd shortcoming.

Thanks for your help guys but I just cant seem to find any information on the net regarding bind mounting the usb to a folder on the SD card Could you point me in the direction of an explanation or site? I can find some useul apps in the Market but they all require Root which I am a bit apprehensive about doing. If I can avoid rooting for what should be a fairy simple task I would much prefer it. Any further help uch appreciated.
Wahooo! MortPlayer will allow you to set the library folder as \mnt\usbdisk1! Hope this helps someone. I am amazed I seem to be the only one needing this functionality. Thanks for your help guys.
When I had my Acer Iconia PowerAmp was able to see the files on my thumb drive. I had to tell it where the fioles were about four or five times before it took but it finally worked. I finally had to point it to the directory exit the app and restart it to get it to work.
No PowerAmp will only see files on SD card but not for some reason any mounted USB. As far as I know MortPlayer is the only player to allow you to index files from USB. Happy to be corrected though because whist Mortplayer is functionaly awesoe it is woefully lacking aesthetically!
Do you guys mean that I could by a USB sdcard reader and my nexus 7 would think it has a built in SD card slot? Or does it still treat it like any old USB stick?

My poweramp sees the usb drive in the dock fine.
Check the Poweramp settings for what folders it'll scan!

[Q] es file explorer, seagate central, and google play

I dont have a pc or this would not be an issue.
I use my 10.1 and gn2 for all my computer work as my pc killed the motherboard. I would like to use my seagste central wireless hard drive as my network hd. Not an issue, it shows in es file explorer but it will not let me access my password protected folders. Is there a way to access them, even from another explorer, or do I have to use the less than effecient seagate app.
Also, is there a way to download my music files straight from google play to my seagate central? I have them all on an external hd, but my seagate will not read powered hd's. I cannot transfer them through my samsung smart dock because it only reads fat32, and my usb adapter for my 10.1 is the same. I cant even figure out how to do a mass download od my music, 20, 000 plus songs, on to my note. I was trying to download in small portions onto my ext micro but I have to do it individual albums or artists.
Any ideas?
When will manufactures start giving phones and tablets the same access as pc's

Map PC Network drive to Android?

I'd like to know if it's possible to map a simple shared folder or network drive from my Windows PC onto my Android device to act like a normal folder accessible from any app designating a storage location.
An example of this in action would be downloading something from the android Google Chrome browser and having it saving directly to the Windows PC mapped storage drive and not the phone's internal or external storage.
I am aware you can use ES Explorer and the like to access a shared homegroup folder from your phone but it doesn't work as a normal folder so you cant store files directly to the PC from the phone's apps.
Android 8.0

App for sync my sdcard files with PC folder over wifi

I'm looking for a solution, which allows me to sync some of my sdcard folders with pc folders (I want to use a PC as a backup, I don't want any cloud storages). I need an app or some other simple solution. Not sure if it's a good forum. Any ideas?
Hi,
I use smbsync2 (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sentaroh.android.SMBSync2) which syncs to a network storage on your computer. The UI is not the best but there are a lot of youtube videos explaining the setup.

Huawei p40 pro photo recovery from external HD

Hello basically I've sort of made a mess of an external hard drive with photos going back to the 1950's
I used my external hard drive to do a backup of my phone. Here is where I'm at.
If I plug the Hard drive into my pc I have lots of Huawei folders/ 2 pictures folders / steam folder and epic games folder.
I can view my steam and epic games folder fine.
But both pictures folders show up with hidden album ( I've applied show hidden files etc in Windows explorer)
So no luck with my Pc.
But if I connect the USB drive to an otg cable I can view 400gb of photos going back to 1950's up to 2021.
I didn't t want to mess them up so phoned Huawei ( useless)
I can move folders one at a time from the hard drive onto phone internal storage then copy to phone/ repeat.
But I don't know which folder to move them to.
As in move from hard drive / choose another location /???
If anyone knows what folder to move to, so they will be in the right place when I connect phone to PC I can transfer them too.
Thank you.
Solved.
Otg cable with USB ports.
Bought a Nano memory card.
Connected hard drive to Otg USB port.
Transferred photos from hard drive to nano memory card.
Windows now recognises photos and are currently being backed up to a Nvme drive )
