Hello,
I'm going to order a replacement park for my htc inspire 4g on monday. I believe this is the part I need:
http://www.amazon.com/SIM-Card-Reader-HTC-Inspire/dp/B006TZSGQK
I was wondering if someone experienced could tell me if this is the right piece to order to replace the sdcard slot, so when I enter in the sdcard it will slide in wonderful without it sliding part way and not clicking in place.
Also, my second question is, how would i disassemble that part so I can replace it? Could someone help me, I am a beginner with all this, and I have the will power to learn from someone, You will not waste your time teaching me :good:
I respect everyone's help in advanced :victory:
Kindest Regards,
xxcorrosionxx
I ordered the replacement part. It's pretty easy to fix the sdcard! I can now root my phone <3

I need help, somehow i lost my 5 directions key of the non-qwertypad.
Someone can tell where i can buy a new pad and if theres is a tutorial on how to change it?
thank you
you can find the tutorial in the Vox service manual on this forum, but i have no idea from where you would get a replacement keypad.
Other than the service centre of course.
Thanks... I've been searching in the web and couldn't find it...
Looks like i have to go to HTC customer service...
and hope that they dont rip you off for it...
You just need the hard pad? You can glue it back on. Mine ripped off also, I haven't touched my Vox in quite some time. Wanna buy the whole thing so you have extra parts?
For extra part look on ebay:
Extrat part HTC S210
good luck for repairing.

Thank you all for the help.
I already bought through e-bay the extra-parts and i'm waiting they arrive . I hope fast since the s710 looks a little odd without the d-pad.
Have had teh unfortunate luck of having to use an HTC a710 after my blackberry was stolen. Needledd to say am completly clueless and stand on a thin line between driving over it with my car or hurling it onto the highway. For some strange reason the camera is viewing everything upside down and i dont know how to fix it. I know this sounds really stupid but i've never used an HTC and am finding it incredibly difficult to navigate...
Please can someone help me...
Welcome aboard

Good luck and enjoy!
I just got an HTC HD 2 today from a friend, and it already has a version of android on it. I dont know how to replace the android files without messing up the phone. Can someone help or walk me through this?
i know this aint help but have u tried the hd2 section
also is your name from coheed and cambria lol!
I have looked through the section and I cant find anything on how to replace the files. Yes it is. The greatest band ever!
sry i dont know anything about the hd2 and yes sir you are correct i just saw them in dallas for the neverender tour 4 hours of nothing but coheed it was amazing my 3rd show i may add new orleans, little rock, and dallas!
you shld be able to ask the same question in that thread im sure someone will be able to help
If your friend was so generous to give you that nice piece of hardware I´m sure he can guide you to replace the Android OS with that Microsoft crap. Your friend has invested some time and energy in the modification of his phone so he would be interested in having you enjoying it, too, wouldn´t he?
To be able to help it would be useful to know if android rom is nand (ie has replaced the original wm6.5 os) or is running from sd card.
When you boot up the phone, does magldr load?
I would suggest you do go over to the hd2 forum and look at the sticky threads, tey have all the info you will need to change/update android to something newer or even change os completely to say wp7?
If your droid is nand, it is very simple to update, just head over to the HD2 nand forum
Cheers.
Thank you everybody for being kind and not throwing noob slanders at me. The friend who gave me the phone actually bought it off of someone who put android on it haha so this nice phone is a hand-me-down for sure.
I will be the first to tell you I am not tech savvy at all! I have been doing some research with regards to this and have used many resources avail, including this site.
I have read most of the answers to my questions but still require assistance. I have the HTC Desire with with my local internet provider Cox Communications and I have a 10.2 inch tab through wowpad that is powered by Android supertab. It is operating on 2.1. My HTC is 2.2. I am very new to the smart phone world and tablet world.
Is there a way to just simply upgrade my tab to a new OS? Do most of you feel that rooting my phone is the way to go, because I never ever have storage that I need. I know it comes down to a personal choice. Or, will my phone eventually upgrade to a new OS?
I really want to do my tablet but honestly I literally need step by step directions in doing so. If I mess this up on my own, my wife and daughter will kill me. Thanks in advance to all of you. This is truly the best site in the world!
How would rooting your phone solve your storage issue?
More Storage
From what I understand, I will have superuser rights and that would allow me to delete some of the stock programs to free up space. Is that right?
Help
Is there anyone out there willing to help with this issue? It would be greatly appreciated.
This Sucks
Ummmm Wow! I thought I would get some help with this, but I guess not. I guess I'll try another site.
Take it easy, look up your device in the forums and look for how to root.
It's not that hard to do and most devices have a manual how to.
Take a look at this:

Thank you
Thank you krt. That is exactly what I needed. Thanks again.
As the title states I'm looking for a little help. I would like to root my HTC one, but I do not have a computer to do it. If there is anyone in or near bozeman, mt that would be willing to meet up and let me install the required files and let me do my thing? I would be greatly appreciated.
A little back ground info: my 5 year old son broke my laptop, and we recent moved here so I don't know anyone around here yet. That's why I am looking online for help. Really don't want to resort to Craigslist. Thanks in advance.
